  1. In addition to the above suggestions, search these forums for posts on Daily Activities. There are several good threads worth following that give you easy 20-30 min daily activities that can provide quick, easy money with no lvl grinding of any sort.
  2. Actually they have stated numerous times that they have no intention to raise the level cap on any other skills to 120. This was clearly stated a few times alone in the Q&A Session upon the release of Dungeonering. Of course, all things are subject to change at the whim of the Jagex team. So it is possible, should they decide to raise the cap one day. That being said, Jagex has no intention of doing so at this time.
  3. It sounds to me like perhaps it has something to do with these various aspect-levels of Dung. What I mean by that is the aforementioned "Lvl 3 skillers". I have 71 Dungeoneering. But every single one of those levels were earned before the introduction of the aspect levels. For all I know, I am lvl 1 in all aspects, skilling, cbt, whatever else. So to most Dungeoneers, I probably look noob despite having 109 cbt and lvl 70 or higher in all skills but summ. Personally, I soloed almost 100% of my Dungeoneering xp because I didn't frequent the right worlds. So in my opinion, if groups won't accept you, then level up those aspect levels doing solo. Then maybe you'll be more "acceptable". I'll probably have to do the same when I return to Dugeoneering. At the moment, I am training cooking, firemaking, and thieving to 99. I'll probably be done in a few weeks tops. If you want, add me in game and I'll happily join up for casual games after I'm done training these skills. Just pm me for games in the future. Oh_Be_Wise
  4. Sound advice. To make this transition easier, be sure to not only not play for 60 days (or whatever), but also make sure you develop a good offline/real-life habit for those 60 days. Some outdoor sport, music instrument, draw, paint, whatever. Pick some hobby and get good at it. The busier you stay, the easier it will be to avoid coming back if you are addicted. Then like Cheatings said, if you return you'll have new things to do and hopefully you can play casually without the addiction (and that makes it fun in my opinion). I did this a while back personally and now the game is much more enjoyable knowing that I can go without playing at times, without worrying.
  5. So here's the background to my question. I only need 36 xp to get 99 firemaking. Even lighting one reg log will do it. Well, I'm saving it for later when I can get 99 fm, cooking, and thieving all at once; a few weeks work hopefully. Now, I want to do Swan Song quest in order to fish my own Monkfish to finish off my fish collection for 99 cook (it's either that or I buy the several thousand on the G.E.). So, my question: During Swan Song, after defeating the first wave of trolls, one of your tasks is to make iron bars into iron sheets. This calls for you to place a log into a ?firebox? and light it with tinderbox. Does lighting the firebox give any firemaking xp at all? If no, then great! If yes, then how much? Note: If you haven't done the quest in a while and/or are uncertain of the answer please note that your answer is not fact so it's more clear for me. People who have just freshly finished the quest are the most welcomed answers. I have one friend who verified no xp earned and I'd like to see if this is unanimously true. Thanks!
  6. "Various levels" was just referring to the tiers of wood in the dungeoun. Though I'll admit, I haven't payed close enough attention to notice any wood in the ferret room itself. Thanks for the tips! I'll have to watch more closely next time. I guess as a side note, anyone unable to catch the ferret could still get through the doors using the method I accidently found. [Edit] Just played a Dungeon where this puzzle came up and i saw the wood you spoke of. It's harder to see than the normal wood on the walls, but the trap worked instantly and makes traveling through the room much more convenient than my accident method. Thanks again! Perhaps a note to new Dungeoneers on the guide would be useful, letting them know the trap must be made exclusively from wood in the room and not just any wood. It would be a minor detail, but would help clarify just that much more.
  7. This post is to refer to the Dungeoneering Guide, Second Ferret Puzzle Tip.it guide. Up until yesterday, I was completely stumped by this puzzle, failing utterly at it. Consulting the guide, it reads: Second Ferret Puzzle - Trapping Chop wood from the walls to construct traps and set them on the ground. Run the ferret toward the traps while avoiding the white holes. After making traps of various level, placing them all over the Ferret's room, and running myself ragged after the Ferret, I was beginning to lose hope. However, I found a happy little solution by mistake and frustration. Just as the ferret enters one of the "white"/green holes in the wall, click the desired "magically sealed door" and it will grant passage. Having two locked doors in the ferret-room, I repeated this process. The doors were always locked when the ferret was standing still. But I could pass through the doors when the ferret entered a hole. The various traps I had set on the other hand, never caught the ferret. He simply ran through them, whether they were placed on, next to, or away from a hole, or even when placed on a random space or the ferret's ending squares. Case 1: I'm missing something and trapping incorrectly. -If so, help would be great. Case 2: The ferret unlocks the door momentarily by entering the wall holes. -Guide update may be needed. If anyone has succeeded in capturing the ferret, please let me know how exactly this must be done. Otherwise I'll just keep being sure to time my clicks on the door in sync with the ferret entering the wall. Thanks!
