  1. Don't buy it for ps3 Dax. Just don't! 3 patches later, and it's STILL broken beyond playability after a certain point. On 360 I sold my Thives Guild armour, now I can't claim my upgraded ones or guildmaster. I think that's a platform wide issue. Unless they fixed it on two and forgot to fix it on the 360?
  2. Banned for repeating yourself over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

  4. Where is this deer you speak of? :o
  5. Locking since we already have a dedicated thread for jokes. Please post them here. Thanks! :)
  6. I forgot to change the thread description. My bad.
  7. I am Reptar! Hear me Roar! RRAAAWWWWRRR!
  8. And so, instead of making a whole new thread, I have re-opened The Back Room for all off-topic discussion here in the Tavern. I have also moved all of the recent off-topic posts in The Fireplace to here to clear out the thread, as well as to put some space in between the posts that led to The Back Room's locking, and it's re-opening. I trust you all will be able to handle it this time, so enjoy! P.S. Must follow the Tip.it rules, etc etc etc etc. Also, if you don't mind, I would like to ask that all serious discussion about Tavern games be posted in The Fireplace so that such posts do not get overlooked in The Back Room. :) @Res: I figure it's best just to use the old thread. I may rename it to The Back Room ver2.0 though. Although not sure if that idea is just silly or not.
  9. Yes, I'm going to have to agree with you on this one. When you put it like that, it definitely seems like a bad way to handle it. I just don't want to see what caused the Back Room to fall to repeat itself, hence why I felt the need to have at least some sort of minor restrictions. I'll rephrase my "restrictions". I still feel a new thread may be in order, maybe not. But more importantly, I still feel the restriction of game discussion and creation should stay in the Fireplace. That's one thing I think we'll both agree on though. (Not sure if that's really a "restriction" or just common sense)
  10. Well, I do see your point, but two things. First, if we let it go without any restrictions, I think you're right when you say it won't happen again. At least not any time soon. And second, I will not hesitate to delete any post that would be considered an "attack" using the rule like that. Possibly even warn, because for someone to try and do that doesn't belong here and will have their post deleted. The restrictions are in place just to clarify that this is not a blog, and using a past issue as an example. Otherwise, it's highly possible that the Tavern is just going to go through a never ending cycle of what happened before. The restrictions are required unfortunately. And WILL be monitored so that no one can be "attacked".
  11. I've been thinking it over, and the majority of the Tavern community seems to favor bringing it back, especially those who wanted it gone. (aside from a few) I am still doubtful on whether this will be a positive decision or not, but if I lay a few restrictions down and post them here, I'll let you guys decide if they are fair or not. 1. A new thread, The Back Room ver2.0 will be made. I think it may be best that we leave the old Back Room locked. It has run it's course, and was locked after a lot of "discussion". 2.As far as rules are concerned, posters will have to follow Tip.it rules, etc...But as an addition, and I think a majority of us will agree on this. It is not to be used as a teen angst blog of sorts. (It's alright to say you had a bad day or are going through rough times, but what was going on before was just ridiculous) 3.Concerning games. I feel that The Fireplace is a decent addition to the Tavern, so I think it could help seperate game discussion from off-topic discussion so that those who post ideas won't get overlooked. (Like they did when the Back Room was up) That's about all as far as restrictions. As a tl;dr, New thread will be made, no teen angst blogging, and game creation discussion will still be held in The Fireplace to prevent overlooked game ideas. As a side note, I will move all game creation posts that are accidentally posted in The Back Room to The Fireplace. But I ask you don't post them in the Back Room out of laziness. If everyone is alright with these restrictions, I will go ahead and make the thread, and then follow up by deleting all the off-topic posts that were recently made here in The Fireplace.

  20. I think the problem is that it "isn't new". For example, back when the whole zombie genre started. It was usually an unarmed person or something like that coming across some unknown "zombie" who looked almost identical to a human. Today, their faces are usually mutilated and grotesque. The slow limbering walk has also lost it's effect when the victim in the film isn't cornered. Then you have things like the new Dawn of the Dead, where they run at a normal pace. I personally think that kills the whole "zombie" feel. Although, in a game like Left 4 Dead, I actually like the speedy zombies and such. It's a mixed bag imo.
  21. Banned for picking on Zeno's avatar.
  22. I'd have to agree. It's all about the "cheap scare" now. One of the few movies currently that gets it right is Paranormal Activity. You don't see ANYTHING. Although, some parts are sort of predictable. Other than that, I found myself on the edge of my seat and not being able to sleep for the night. And I don't scare easy. (I'm the type to get scared by the "the less you see of it, the scarier it is")
  23. I can't stand most Stephen King movies tbh. Probably because I'm a huge fan of his novels that they just ruin the movies for me. Also, page get.
