  1. Even if a person was to wear runite armour I reckon that a Judo throw could probably knock them off balance or even kill them (due to falling in runite) but I appreciate that my picture on the OP of a person bieng hurt by a kick is a bit OTT. Its possible that a dagger could be used as an aid to this, multiplying the attack by something.
  2. Yay, Icu I like you because you seem very reasonable and pretty bright. Yeh, I suppose it would be better if were allowed to keep it a secret, if I was to interpret the rules I would say that he wanted us all to stay allys but I don't think thats going to be very fun or even happen. Anyway, I haven't decided how to play yet; I could be really peaceful and happy or just decide to barrage someone with attacks of millions of extremly unneficiant soldiers.

  4. Mather, I downloaded it but found out I don't have Excel, I have the disk and will download it tommorow but for now I can't work out my GDP change. And I don't think what Doom is saying is right, I thought it was entirely based on population. And surely we are not following this rule, it appears we didn't in the first hegemony. Ugh! You mean you decide. The way your saying it is as if you are the boss of all things, its as if I was to say "Right, I am your new leader: anyone who disagree's is kicked from the game". I think we should stick to GDP as its easy to calculate (three function buttons on a calculator) No, Sere is emulating fatortoise and he's left and we are to decide for ourselves now.
  5. Ok, could you upload it please and I can begin working it out.
  6. Goonstalf warned me about you!
  7. Could you please send me your Excel spreadsheet so that I can use it.

Please post in this thread when your talking off topic, this isn't the place to discuss another thread in the forum.
  9. 2/20 HAL. 2/30 Robots. 2/10 Military Modernisation. So what do I need to do to my budget, Doom?

Wow, that music on the front page is really annoying; I need to manually turn it off. And what more, the music is [cabbage]. Shouldn't we move this to 'ye old hegemony' if we are discussing it here.
  11. with 35% tax 1,453,762,464,000 The city of Japan starts distributing the money evenly into many different projects. 100 Billion (Per Year) is being put into funding the HAL project for possible military use (1/20) 400 Billion (Per Year) is being put into research project about robots which will allow creation of robots that can. (1/30) 'Learn' how to do certain movements. Appear Intellegent (and maintain speech about most things for long periods of time) Do complex cognative things (by use of a gyroscope they can also balance on tightropes easily and things like that) Recognise humans and traits of humans. Move extremly fast. The Emperor has stated that they could save billions of pounds by applying these robots on building sites and keep them employed as janitors. 100 billion (Per year) is being put into military modernisation and over the course of five years I will reveal three new land vehicles, air vehicles, sea vehicles, ULV and a Optical HUD system for soldiers. (1/10) 100 billion has gone into making 5000 new tanks, 2000 new Lockheed AC-130's and 3000 Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptors, 20 battleships and 2,000 destroyers. 500 Billion pounds is placed into gathering an army of 300,000 with 200,000 reserves ___________ The Imperial Japanese Army. samurai's 20,000 Heavily armoured soldiers, they are fitted with body armoured and over that plate armour in the model of a samurai meaning that they are impervious to most bullet and mélee attacks. They are armed with assult rifles, a ballistics knife, a small survival kit and water. Ninja's 1,000 More accurately snipers, the Ninja's are equipped with Modified Barret .50 sniper rifles which once mounted on the floor they will have a machine function, They are trained in unarmed combat SWU's (Standard Warrior units) 69,000 Armed with assult rifles, bullet proof armour, bombs and a small survival kit, they travel light and are trained in unarmed combat Then the Naval army Boarders 5,000 2,000 They run onto a ship and hijack it, they are armed with twin straight blade ninjato's and a submachine gun, usually they can take a ship by suprise without a single death SSWU 88,000 Operate ships and stuff, nothing interesting. The airforce does have ranks but they are not really interesting. So my sum is + 1,453,762,464,000 a year + 753,762,464,000 (saved per year) - 700,000,000,000 (tech and army)
  12. You know we don't have to use GDP, this is a remake not a copy.
  13. We all start equal? If so kergulan islands are mine If not Japan is mine.
  14. I haven't actually been explained as to what IEG is but I have a hunch its a bit like the IAG system of the last hegemony, if any system is to be used it must be able to be worked out by a player in about thirty seconds otherwise people just won't stand for it, I know I wouldn't. But if it is short and easy for anyone to work out please share it here. As for the research system I don't see any point at all unless you are to use something such as a laser but anything else (for example a tank, exosuit, gun or robot) should be determined by how good the design is not on how long someone spend on it. and for someone with OCD the level system would probably make them sick, I know it would make me sick due to the fact that every time I improved a level I would be compelled to list the upgrades or change the picture to something new. Also, the research system only was needed in the last hegemony as everyone stopped posting the status of their research so I reckon that if they did the mod could work out which laser is more powerful.
  15. "The more expensive a unit is the more powerful it is" Book Of Edel 16:15 logications.
  16. When we do this can we actually spend a bit of time on everything; instead of just saying "how about this". Also, the game must conform the the rules I set above so when we come to make it can no-one spit on it and come up with some stupid system which people will choose because its long, well written and new. If we use a budget system based on population I choose India. If we use a budget system based on GDP I choose America. If we have an equal foot I want to call dibs on Kerguelen Islands and Japan, but I haven't chosen yet.
  17. Ok, it just goes back to NPC.
  18. I give up and cede my country to Earthsage. Edit: Rocco, yeh because even peasants need some sort of pay.
  19. Ok great Ross, I think the actual Tip.It Hegemony (The first one) seemed really fun and I know some of the systems were a bit lax but what I liked about it was the fact that everyone was equal, gameplay systems were lax and easy to understand and mainly the creativity everyone put into it. I just wish I was around to play it, if we were to ever start it again I think we would need to fix a couple of problems but keep it moderatorless to a certain point. I know that people would abuse the system now due to everyone talking about what they could've done to beat the system but at the time it seemed all of you just wanted a fair and realistic game of hegemony, all the other games that i've witnessed are imitations of the hegemony and to be honest I don't really think I like them. In short, basically - I wish I could go back in time and play it with you, it just seems so much more fun then all the imitation versions at the moment. I would've started up a thread just like to original hegemony but I feared that due to the way you regard it in the hegemony argument thread I would get flamed at. If we were to do a hegemony based on the first one I think we would still need to fix some problems but it would be a lot more fun than any of these reboots or imitations that everyone else has started up. Personally I think we should retain the following: Sense of equality. Tech system. Simplicity and status as a 'casual' game. Low requirement of mod (don't get me wrong, I agree a mod is neeeded in regards to combat but not for anything else, I think in the last hegemony the mod was given power over descisions and this is not what hegemonys about; see one.) Effort, no-one seems to bother with giving the status of their tech anymore or posting long detailed posts about what they're doing. Sense of liquidity, It should flow welll with posts bieng made every day and if someone decides to quit the game should just carry on. However I think we should have a moderator decide combat and the budget system should not be GDP or IAG it should be a new system in which players can work out with ease and only takes into acount a couple of factors (A bit like my ABC system used in the hegemony v4)
  20. Ugh, I chose Scotland, Nevermind.
  21. So we can play have a game in the model of the first hegemony?
  22. Surely you can't just put this on the hemony argument threads, this seems like spam to me.
  23. Please could I take England. Edit: it figures that that is taken, I take Scotland. The mighty country of Scotland has finally been united by the cheiftain reputed for his bloodthirstyness and his raiders; Coming from the Slav countrys of the east he has gathered all the scottish people together and revealed himself as King for life.
  24. One, Two and Three worked without him and the game hasn't even started how can anyone complain?
  25. Its late and I don't want to get scared.
