Although i've never driven a car I have to say that I would prefer an automatic, I just feel they would be much easier to use. Instead of fiddling about to try and stick it in the right place you simply slide to the right place and the car does the rest. Its far easier and therfore far safer, infact I think its ridiculous that people expect you to look at the road while struggling to move this fiddly precision instrument. On the contrary manuals allow the gear stick to change much faster but I don't believe that i'm even going to notice those few milliseconds when it hasn't changed. I would definitely go for an automatic, they are the best. [hide]Ugh, the first picture looks all cheap and tacky, this is what most automatics look like. [/hide]
