  1. They're epic!
  2. Where the hell are your avatars from Goon?
  3. Okey Dokey. And Goon, please come back.... Please Please Noooooooooo! Can we stop whining please, just see how it turns out ok - no more discussion.
  4. You don't have to play if you don't want to and the game hasn't even started yet. Earth, i'm not sure (Wait, your Ierland) sorry i'll add you.
  5. Icu, thats the thing - there are not borders, you must decide, its a feature not a bug. Dungeon, you can't do that yet - first of all the game hasn't started and second you can't invade in the first game and third you don't have 500k troops. Earth we are going to continue with the system and the map is on the front page. The maps easy to edit with all the dots already there. OMG GOONSTALF'S HERE, PLEASE JOIN GOON!!!!
  6. No, the problem I was having was that it just stopped changing - its fixed now and the map is up on the first page.
  7. Please can we just see how this plays out for now. Edit: my map is 30mb, how do I make it smaller - its in BMP form.
  8. I've tried Imgboot Imgshack and they both don't work I've tried photobucket but that made the image smaller I'll try the rest imgur, that seems to be unlimited.
  9. Its taking a step backward for the better, we are not using impossibly complex systems that ruin the casual aspect of the game and it doesn't really matter how good a system is, no matter how realistic, no matter how it fits all eventualitys because nothing beats simplicity. Also in the first and second hegemony people bothered to say Lasers 38/60 every day or other day, it seems that you all stopped in the last hegemony - PLEASE NOTE I WANT EVERYONE TO DO THIS, IT'LL MAKE LIFE SO MUCH EASIER. Edit: And apart from mounted weapons I think that units such as tanks or planes should not be based on how long you spend researching it but on the better design. I still haven't found a site which will allow me to upload the map (its 30mb) but if you look at it you'll see why the city system will work so well.
  10. The reason I gave such a simple system was so people could work things out themselves, any other gimmicks can be added later.
  11. Everyone now has 10 billion, please recalculate.
  12. I did say per five years but i'm willing to change. And if I get more consent we all get 10 bil (don't worry, you will gain a lot more by simply playing)
  13. Could I buy when you've finished. Bloody Hell, those are surely impossible and classed as 'overpowered' and too overpowered for this thread, what does everyone else think. I'm willing to raise the bar to 10 billion but everyone needs to redo their finances and stuff so I think its too much. Who wants me to change the 1 billion to 10 billion?
  14. Ugh, Dungeonal tainted the first post :P Btw, doing he map now, i'm sorting out a sort of new system for countrys. First person to name an number between 1 and 10 makes a big descision to the game.
  15. Wow, i'm happy with the response this has gotten :^_^: Can I just verifiy that everyones ok with the 'I mod you and you mod me' system which means that I can still play and mod everyone else unless they're in a battle with me, I don't plan on making alliances so I don't really think it'll be much hassle. Dungeoneal, you can't spend it into something that is not a technology - it needs to be something more tangible. I need to get to work updating the map then, in this map they're will be much more citys. EDIT: Retech, I think it would be good for you to be a mod but don't change the game too much, a mods job is just sorting out combat and giving the ok to annexation, if you simply want to play as NPC countrys in which your not really tied down thats not really a good reason but yes, if we are happy with Retech modding your good to go. Sorry if I forgot to mention this but if you want to spy on a country you have to PM the mod and then based on how good your spy project is you will get more information of the people (E.G secret projects and such) PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT YOU ONLY HAVE ONE BILLION PEOPLE I know you can have all your tech for free but I think all the stuff your making is a bit generous for one billion. And Earthsage yes you can. Earth, yes you can but you are right next to me and i'm in the mood for recreating Great Britain.
  16. 1,) Ok, i'll change you to India, I didn't think population would have any impact on this game (apart from military implications). I'm sorry for putting you as the wrong country. 2) Ok, we can have off topic garbage but none on the front page, i'm afraid it would taint the whole thread, if anyone is going to argue about the thread and what I should've included please do it in the hegemony argument thread.
  17. Ok, I can't add you to the map (as with anyone else) until we get a map and apparently the one used in the past hegemony was too 'cartoonish'. Anyway this one will be a lot more fun, with the fourty years of free research. If i'm modding could I still play, I don't mean mod myself but could I do a sort of 'I mod everyone and everyone mods me?' system. I'm spreading out my fourty years of free research into four seperate projects, my first project is military modernisation and this will consume five years, my second project is Exosuits/Hal which will take twenty years, ten years on a sort of recogniser technology which i'll explain more about later and finally twenty years into nanotechnology which means that I have a bit extra then I bargined for so i'm going to have to spend 15 more years on nanotechnology. Nanotech 1/15, 30% budget per year 20% into raising a British Elite Guard of 5,000 men but also creating a home guard which will consist of 15,000 men who are all using various weapons including pots, pans, metal poles, crossbows, makeshift zip guns, flamethrowers and other stuff. They are fitted with ballistics armour and a grant of money, The rest of the money is put into infrastructure.
  18. "This is where we fight! This is where they die!" —King Leonidas Good day and welcome to the fourth installment of the hegemony, i'm going to list the basic stuff first. Everybody is allowed to claim their own countrys. Everybody starts equal. No battle (even on NPC countrys) for the first year. The moderators job is to give the ok to annexation or work out battles, they can't make descisions as if they are more important then the rest of the players; things are decided by popular vote. Fallout and Globalwarming don't exist Budget Budget is worked out using a combination of infastructure and your number of citys. Everyone starts with £1,000,000,000 (one billion) and if they wish to increase it they can either choose to put a percentage of their budget into it or gather more citys. If the original figure is named A, the infrastructure is B and their number of citys is C the sum is ABC in mathmatical terms. Combat Combat is decided by the moderator by use of ratio's however they can change the results if a person has a good battle plan. I also am going to decide how powerful units are by the better design not the longer time spent on them. Annexation Annexation must be allowed by a moderator, they will work out a suitible price at the time. Research Research is done in the system of the last three hegemonys bar the last one, if a project would take ten years it would be written as 1/10 and then progress over time, you must fund money into it. If you wish to research a biological or chemical weapon it will take half the time that you researched for the enemy to find a cure for it. Anything else Archi - Switzerland Rocco - India Edel - UK Dusty - Portugal Dungeon - Russia Icu - Japan Ross - Germany Grimdeath - France snubbe - Columbia Earth - Ireland Mather - Norway [spoiler=Map]http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/8586/mapk.png
  19. I think it's fantastic, it gets the point across well and can be filled in, unless someone can post a better map can you please send me the old map. The thread is made, the systems are simple and to the point - we are having the fourty years of free tech and the reserved countrys are on the front page.
  20. I don't want to mod but can I get the same map that you had in the third hegemony before all the borders were switched.
  21. I claim UK. I dislike leveled technology, there is no point - if you are talking about tanks or exosuits then it should work on the best design not on how long someone works on it. Is Doom modding this?
  22. I like the idea of 40 years of free research, I'll probably also include that in mine. I don't like the idea of using an RNG to determine things, thats going to piss a lot of people off and just be unfun. I also think that if everyone starts off equal you could determine the better hegemony player and stuff along those lines. Just to make this clear, I don't think the moderator should have any power over anyone else as they did in the last game; they should do combat and no more.
  23. Annexation has happened quite a lot, its just an agreement of the merging of the government - In real life you would suffer social problems and weakened influence over your government but as we don't like my people's moods idea I don't think that I could implement social issues. Also, if a person would be to put 100% into funding their annexation they would only have 25 new citys (and bearing in mind i'm going to make building citys a lot easier that won't be much, maybe in the ratio 1:5) and the people won't have any military or tech. I think thats fair enough people can still annex but they're not going to go about it without thinking when someone can conquer it back so easily.
  24. How about you be responsible and put it in a bank incase you ever get into debt, trust me it'll be useful in the future. Nah, only joking buy a salad spinner and lepoard skin toilet seat cover.
  25. I think that its harsh and unrealistic not to include it at all so I have included it but i've made it shockingly expensive, that way people will be discouraged from doing it (20% is a huge figure for one city) Edit: I don't really want to mod it, anyone else want to mod it thats no Archi as he modded it last time. Edit: For making the first post can someone please PM me if they want to be my partner
