Gratz on 200M Def. What's next?

As far as I know a god cape is better for mage as it has a 2.5% crit chance compared to 2.2% on max and 0 on fight kiln cape. Good luck on your goal by the way.

Today desert tasks was released which means no more comp cape for a while. I'm not planning to get dreadnips or all 20 journal pages any time soon because I just want to focus on slayer now since all defence levels are back to normal. The most annoying part about no comp cape is that I have to get used to switching capes every time I need to switch styles. Tokhaar-kal for melee + ice wyrms, god cape for mage and ava for ranged (arrows are very expensive you know). Or I could just be lazy and use max cape for all. But nope. Tomorrow I should reach front page in Slayer. I'm currently like 950k xp from #22 but that should be NP. Pope712 was taken off hiscores today after Jagex cleaned them from F2Pers. He's been at 167M XP for what feels like forever and I think he quit around when EOC was released(?). From memory only Olivier404 of the 200M-slayers is currently F2P which means I need at least rank 21 for a "real" front page rank. I have a feeling that I forgot someone though, if anyone know, please tell. It's annoying that the mid level jadinkos are no longer aggressive. Now the only possible afk-tasks are fire giants and hellhounds. Although that's probably good because abilities on high level ones (males?) is MUCH faster. I had those jadinkos as a possibly way of finishing 90M strength XPs but killing 180k (or something) of them with abilities sounds a bit extreme. Two milestones from today: 155M Magic: And 165M attack which I'm hoping to complete before slay. Thankfully Kuradal loves giving me melee tasks recently so it's looking good. Ah cool, I'll remember that. Dat EE world. And thanks for reminding me, I'll post one in a few days, maybe a week :P

Oh a football blog. That was a shocking sacking indeed but it looks like the chairman had planned it for quite some time. Weird timing though, after a good result. Or maybe a draw away to Chelsea is a shit result now considering the home form under Benitez.

Been over a week since my last post so here's a summary of what I've been up to on RS. I had to take a break from slayer because I needed to focus on studying. Criminal law is quite interesting. So last weekend all I did was cutting Ivy. I'm 1,7M xp away from 50M woodcutting and that will be my 12th 50M-skill. I've got another exam in about 2 weeks so that's when I'll get 50M. Then after my exam (on tuesday)I was planning to get back to slayer but as I guess most of you know, Jagex had increased the defence on all mage and ranged creatures by a lot which made slayer much slower. For example all ganodermic creatures took ages to kill. Thankfully a Jmod confirmed on forums that they had gone too far in "buffing" some monsters and that a fix was coming in a few days. So I had to change my plans. First I killed Hati and Sköll för the gloves and boots. I hadn't seen Sköll's "dialogue" before because last time I killed it right after release and it died in like 1 hit. Swedish is a bit lame. After that I went to barb advanced and used almost half of the charge. Let's just say agility isn't my favourite skill. Then I decided to try dwarf traders and I really liked it. Trapping the guards isn't hard and there's always servers where they are already trapped if you don't wanna bother (except right after updates). I'm probably doing that for 200M as it's much easier to keep a high xp-rate there, compared to PP. I timed an hour without aura and with only 2 black ibis pieces and I got just under 250k (1 success away). That was with just lurker. Then I bought the thieving aura up to master. 2 weeks for supreme. The only thing I'm not sure about is whether to go to PP until I get the 2 remaining black ibis pieces or just do dwarf traders with 2 pieces. Today Jagex rebalanced some slayer monsters but every magic and ranged task are very different from before which I guess was intented. Accuracy actually matters now which is probably good. My old master wand + ahrim's book is now pretty much worthless for slayer. Wyverns are really hard to kill now and a certain skip unless they change it. Everything will take some time to get used to. So milestones last days: 19M Agil 48M WC 31M Thieve 156M Slay

I realized that I never did a yearly xp-summary so here it is: + ranks in every skill except 4. I'm happy with that.

Here's some new milestones: 1,8B Overall: And 150M mage: And I had an effigy from hellhounds today. Felt weird. Too much CW :P Playing for ranks is a big reason to why I still play. Checking ranks and trying to catch up is fun and a good way to get motivated. I'm guessing there's many post-2496ers with the same view.

Reading this blog does not make me look forward to desert tasks.

actually, it kind of goes against everything the eoc was trying to do i guess jagex wants their money back and is willing to assume the position once more way to show solidarity, maybe i should start whining on rsof more because i guess it's a lobbyist state now Not arguing with you there, just saying that I like the changes(even if it goes against what EOC was trying to do).

It's nice to hear that armour will get str-bonus again. Should also make high-level bosses such as nex worth doing again.

You need to train harder. Yes 4 for 200M dg and another 4 for 200M ranged. I don't know but I'd guess around 20. I got 12 pics on this comp and it's around a year old.

Finally all christmas- and new years eve-celebration is over. Now I can start getting some decent slayer gains again. So, because I've been up for 23 hours and are overloaded with energy for some reason, I've decided to write something of an "XP-plan" for 2013. These will be very rough estimates and it's very possible that I end up doing something else entirely after 200M slay. When I say months here I mean a runetracker month which is 31 days. Starting XP: 1,78B First goal: Approx time: 3 months Comment: I have 4 exams coming up in january + beginning of february so during this time I won't be getting that much xp. Something like 500k/day average maybe. After that new classes are starting and things are usually fairly slow-paced in the beginning so I will pick up my pace. I'll be trying to do a 10M week before 200M. XP from this (based on my last 31 days on runetracker): Slayer: +51,5M Attack: +~34M Magic: +~43M Ranged: +~29M Prayer: +~3,4M DG(challenges 80 of 93 days to be safe): +~16M Ending XP: ~1,95B Combats after this: Attack: 190M Strength: 110M Defence: 200M HP: 200M Ranged: 157M Magic: 185M Pray: 26,5M Second goal: (I might move this a bit. It depends on how many charms I end up with after 200M slay + if there will be another DXPW.) Approx time: 2-3 days Comment: This will be very fast. I'm already buying all the steel plates + water talismans that I will need. Without a DXPW I might need to finish ranged or melees before getting it. Ending XP: 2,06B Third goal: (from ~157M) Approx time: 2-3 weeks Comment: Unless a better method is discovered I will do this at dark beasts with zaryte bow. If I need much more charms I might have to get some XP at waterfiends. Ending XP: 2,1B Fourth goal: (from ~190M) Approx time: 2 months? Comment: I actually have no idea where to get the best melee xp after dharok was nerfed. Maybe I'll do some buyables before finishing these. Ending XP: 2,2B Fifth goal: Approx time: 1-2 months depending on method Comment: I want to get 200M Prayer while the prices are low. D bones are only 7,2 gp/xp and frost bones a bit over 14 gp/xp. What bones I will use depends on how my investments work out. :P Ending XP: 2,375B + DG challenges for 4 months which is ~20M more. That's only ~7 months but I have absolutely no idea what to do after that. I'll probably do superheat mining to finish off magic at some point. Then a lot depends on my investments. I'll also focus on the new skills once they come out. Nice.

Ty Leik. :P And sorry but that was actually my 7th. 3 from Ice wyrms, 2 from D beasts, 1 from grifolapines and 1 from des wyrms.

100M on slay counter: And that's my 5th effigy since EOC I think. Maybe 6th. Should be less now after EOC. And nope, I'm in Jebrim's clan but that doesn't mean that I'll focus on one skill only.. :P

4k tasks: That would've been handy to know, considering I have like 15-20 of them >.> Ye.. shame it only lasted for like 3h. That would have been a nice goal to aim for but I'm going away this weekend to celebrate christmas. I'll bring my laptop but playing-time will be limited. :P I'd like to hit 150M before the new year though.

Steel titans are ~2,3gp/xp profit when making scrolls atm and 0,6gp/xp profit with just pouches with the old method. Sure it's more expensive the other way but if prices stay the same it will only cost me like 0-2gp/xp with the crims. Blues are around 10gp/xp and hopefully I don't have to use my green/golds. I'm guessing the total price will be like 300-400M. And ye Mish is right. They were selling for 1M each the day ankh was nerfed. :P

It's been 3 months since I started flipping. The goal was to make 10M per day so I can fund some buyables after 200M slay. Here's what I have now: As you can see I've failed my goal so far but I'm not too bothered. With the decreasing prices for skills such as herb and prayer + the fact that slayer is profitable now, it's looking alright. With what I have I can already afford 200M sum after slayer and I can keep flipping if I do another non-buyable after. It's not like it takes much effort. As you can see in the pic I've started buying summoning supplies already, slowly. :P
