I like that they give that much xp because they pretty much nerfed all cannon-tasks. Bloodvelds gives like 100 xp each. Kalphites, spectres, dagannoths and suqahs are also very bad now. And duh, forgot about armadyl. And I'll buy a crystal bow. Thanks. :) Ty The difference isn't that big, I'd guess it's around 60-80k slay xp/h now. But yer, everything is getting easier over time,whether we like it or not. :P Anyway, Has anyone seen an effigy since EOC?

Hm. First day of EOC and I have mixed feelings about it. All I've been doing is slayer and it's like the complete opposite of the old system. Tasks that used to be a bit shit like dragons, ice wyrms (and probably jadinkos) are now the best. The old best tasks are just annoying now because you have to tag every monster before cannon or titan kills it unless you're cool with half or 1/4 slay xp. I even cancelled bloodvelds today, never thought that would happen. [noob] I also haven't figured out what gear to use yet. For bolt tasks I've been using dual cbow + royal bolts, royal top + legs, fury (should get ranging ammy or that god ammy), barrow gloves and ragefire boots (Eh, someone said all glacor boots are pretty much the same. Is that even true?). For arrow tasks I had no clue on what to use as I can't afford zaryte bow right now. In the end I used guthix bow + guthix arrows which felt a bit embarrassing. It was still 60k+ xp per h at black drags though so still worth doing. Still can't figure out what would be better though. Magic longbow sighted? Crystal bow? [/noob] Melee is a bit meh. The only melee tasks worth doing (that I know of) are monsters weak to slash. Rapier is only for jungle and desert wyrms and who kills those? Not even gonna bother buying an offhand rapier. Some tasks requires way too much clicking. For example abyssal demons and waterfiends both die in 2-3 hits max which is just annoying. If you haven't already - go do a dark beast task outside temple of light with cannon + titan. A task of 200 took about 22 mins. They die ridiculously fast. And I rarely had to use the EEE spec before anyway and without having to loot the sacrophagus it would probably be even less. :P (so much rage in the other posts so I only quoted 2) :D

C2 fishing averages around 100-110k per hour so I've been doing that for a bit instead of both fish&wc which is around 65k in each per h. Woodcutting is the ultimate afk-skill so I don't value that xp very highly. Whenever I need to do some serious studying I afk at ivy for example. Anyway, thanks to Quyneax I realized that I was close to reaching the XP-milestone 1/3 of 5B XP. And Yelps (?) knew I was poor so he decided to help me out a bit Ty Yelps This could be my last blog-post before EOC. If it is, I'll miss you old RS combat-system. Ty :D

Spent all day yesterday writing an essay which I handed in 30 mins before deadline. :D I got over 4m cooking Xp from rocktails which almost put me at 80M. Now back to C2ing.

Since it looks like slayer xp will be at least doubled next tuesday I'm taking a small break from it for now. Instead I started killing dagannoth sentinels for melee xp because.. why not? 200M slayer will not get me 200M all melees anyway. But as you all know Jagex decided to nerf sentinels today, and my recent bad luck with updates continue. :P Instead I moved on to C2 fishing/wc which is pretty enjoyable and it doesn't require full attention so it's perfect for watching movies/TV-shows. :D I'm definitely doing this for 200M fish, probably for WC too unless I get a reason to go back to ivy (like a sudden Fifa addiction). Obviously this could change if they release some new epic-xp fish. Here's the results for my first 4 hours: And some small xp milestones: Tomorrow I'll be no-lifing an essay that I have left for last day (as usual) so I guess cooking rocktails will have to do. :P

It was about time I got another visage, it's been like 1,5 months. :o Not much else to add. 188M HP maybe. And I love effigies. Just had one while I uploaded pic and wrote this. Yea.. some times I forget. :P

Just hit 125M Slayer: 62,5% finished. A bit later I reached 140M Attack: Will keep training attack until 150M, then move over to def to finish it. That EOC is coming so soon annoys me. I was hoping to get at least 150M slay before it came out. I haven't actually tried slaying in EOC so I can't say if I like it or not but it sure is going to be different. A bandos + rapier setup simply won't cut it anymore. Simplicity is what I like about the combat system and I'm afraid all the ability-bashing will make it less appealing. I'll find out soon. Shame it's not enough. I miss it.

It's time for a charm-update. Blues: 12,456,796 XP Crims: 28,731,904 XP (110,513)Greens: 17,063,207 XP Golds: 3,470,865 XP Total: 61,722,772 With RAF-bonus: 67,895,049 On DXPW: 123,445,544 So yea it turns out that if I hadn't been away last weekend I'd have my first 200M right now, and rank 8 summoning secured. Because of the randomness of the summoning higscore I won't really mind losing a few ranks. I also dropped out of top-100 for the first time in a while, but I'm already back. :P In other news... my mouse broke down today so I ordered a Qpad 5K. Felt like trying something else after having Razer Deathadder for a few years. Hopefully it will be nice.

Heh, turns out it was a bit extreme, I only dropped to #36. Na my parents wanted to go to Iceland so I joined them. Just did the normal tourist stuff such as blue lagoon, golden circle (geysers/that waterfall and some more) and ate whale. It was nice, but wow, so much heavy wind. :D

Another week of Slayer and some new ranks taken. I'm currently #35 after passing Lan a few hours ago. I remember seeing him a lot when I had like 25M slay xp and he was 100M+. None of the players ahead of me on this page are very active so I should be able to pass all of them.. I haven't made much money lately mostly because I had to study a lot for an exam which I had today. My money pile is still growing though, albeit slowly. I'm at 385M currently and here's a picture of my flips from a few hours ago: So tomorrow DXPW starts and since I'm going to Iceland for 4-5 days I will miss it. I'll lose lots of summoning ranks and I'm just gonna leave a pic of the first 6 pages of the summoning higscores here to see how many I lose. :P My guess is that I'll return to rank... 57. Ah well, ciao in a few days.

Gratz on 1B+ OA and 20M+ all skills. The latter being the "bigger" achievement in my eyes. :P Any more big XP-goals coming up?

After a weekend of pretty much no RS (I even had "you last logged in 2 days ago", which is a new record) I finally got 120M Slayer today. I had black demons 3 times in a row (cancelling tasks) which meant lots of study-time. 120M Slay also means that I got 2 new points in the TMOA ranking system which puts me at a silver star rank in the CC. :P Still training attack but I'm planning to switch back to defence at like 195M HP XP so I can get 200M def shortly after. I don't want to fall lower than rank 100 in def (currently 78). Poor.

110M Ranged: I'm gaining slayer xp much faster than ranged xp since I switched back to Kuradal. Hopefully there will still be a way to gain very fast ranged xp in the new combat system. If not, finishing melees at sentinels should give me lots of ranged xp from titan. The update yesterday which allows maxed players to choose what challenges they want made me happy. Only around 520 days until 200M DG lol. It also saves me billions because I don't have to leech. The XP-reward from the DG-challenge is really overpowered but oh well, every skill is getting easier and I guess we just have to accept that this is the direction Jagex have chosen.

Has there even been any whining before your post? I've only seen a discussion (with fair arguments from both "sides") about whether this summoning thing is a good thing or not. That's usually what a discussion forum is about.

In Taverley you can use 7k+ charms per hour (10k according to GreenXen which is probably right). So you don't need nail beast charms for that, just a huge amount of blue and crimson charms. Anyway that's the record and not something that is the norm. The point is that gathering charms is what takes time, not using them.

Obviously it depends on how you define "game-breaking" but halving the preparation time for a skill like summoning is a very big deal. True... It's possible to go from 1-99 in 24 hours or so. I knew a guy named Dirtbag02 who did that on a non-BXPW day. What. It's possible to get 94M summoning XP in a 30-hour "day" which Dragonseance has shown. I thought it was clear that the change is about that you now only have to spend half(depending on goal obviously) the time at waterfiends/slaying/whatever to reach your goal.

Interesting. So they pretty much halved the amount of time you need to spend collecting charms for 200M sum. Sum/Slay ratio is no longer important. A shame that I'm missing this weekend but I'll just collect enough charms to get 200M on the next 2x sum weekend. Because well, I'm assuming they will be consistent when they've made such a game-breaking decision.

Hehe yea it usually is but for some reason 4 players were within 300k XP. Lost a rank while sleeping, by 6k. :P

Just a quick update as I reached 1,6B Overall. Farming pineapples makes me feel so rich... And when I logout I'll be rank 38 in Slayer, that's 4 ranks today. :D Yea not bad. There's some "blind" spots though where you can't see the loot if you don't check the minimap.
