I used to think Keyboard + Mouse was the only way to go, especially for FPS's. Since I "mastered" the S-Type controller on the XBox by playing Halo:Combat Evolved alot, now it feels better than the mouse. Most FPS's have great control on the XBox like Halo, DOOM 3, and Unreal Championship 2. Those aren't the only good RPG's, those are the well-known RPG's on XBox. I myself am not a huge RPG gamer so I do not know much about the titles available on XBox, but the 5 big ones are KOTOR 1 and 2, Fable, Jade Empire, and Phantasy Star Online. Those are 5 mainsteam RPG titles for XBox.

Except the $1,500 for the PC, plus upgrading it every few years to fit the games. All you need is a $200 XBox and 5$ a month to play any xbox live game. Jade Empire was great. Fable was great. Phantasy Star Online was a good attempt at an MMORPG.

Heh, using your logic, you can't call me a fanboy. I actually own a PS2, too, and to be honest, I actually prefer it over the gamecube. Nintendo mucked up on the third party support big time, really, and Nintendo of Europe are so bad it hurts, too. I have to admit the Gamecube should be the best console, but it isn't. But the fact is, it is a really decent console, and better than the Xbox. Simple as that. Of course, Xbox live has decent features, but it would help immensely if there were decent games to go along with them! Something which is distinctly lacking. The above games you mentioned for the Xbox, of which are all pretty dire, im afraid, and Conker is another useless port, I didn't rate it on the N64. Halo is out on a format I use, in which case, I should be hyping it up, but at least I can see that it is the most overrated game ever! It is absolutely no match for Timesplitters. It is the definition of a fanboy's game. And will Perfect Dark Zero ever come out? I was really annoyed when Rare were sold off, but they seem to have completely lost their way. Grabbed by the Ghoulies anyone? Your personal opinion is that Halo 2 is overrated, my opinion is it is not. I have played Timesplitters, other than the map editor, its got nothin' on Halo 2. Perfect Dark Zero is comming out on XBox 360 launch if you read my post. Conker is not a port if you knew anything about it. Your opinion is that XBox is the worst. The games I listed are great. You can't just say they are all bad or linear in 1 post when you probably have not played them all. What was so bad about Grabbed by the Ghoulies? So they took a different approach to video games, it doesn't make the game bad. Katamari Demanchie, anyone? Jesselt, a game being innovative doesn't mean its good. Remember that. And I guess I should of seen this comming, being on a Runescape board and all. Your judging XBox because of low quanitity of RPG's? At least the RPG's they do, they do them right (KOTOR, KOTOR 2, Jade Empire, Fable, Phantasy Star Online).

I also own all 3 systems, and in no way am I dissapointed in the gamecube. What I am dissapointed in is the lack of good games on Xbox. Gamecube may not have great 3rd party support, but at least it has good games. SSBM, Tales of Symphonia, Baten Kaitos, Paper Mario, Zelda Game, etc. They may seem like little kid games, but none of the ones I just named are for kids. How do you think that xbox 360 will out do the Revolution if they charge for their service? Revolution will have backwards compatibility with the Gamecube and Wireless connectivity with the DS (which will also have free internet access). Anyways, you have fun paying to play Halo online. Been playing Halo 2 everyday since November 9th, won't get bored any time soon. XBox has had an amazing lineup of games, especially in the past 2 years. Fable Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 Project Gotham 1 and 2 Halo 1 and 2 Unreal Championship 1 and 2 Grand Theft Auto 3 and Vice City (and in June, San Andreas) Splinter Cell series Ghost Recon series Rainbow Six series (Rainbow Six 4 will be out soon, featuring 4 player online cooperative mode) Forza Motorsport Brothers in Arms DOOM 3 Burnout 3:Takedown Rallisport Challenge 2 Chronicles of Riddik:Escape from Butchers Bay Ninja Gaiden Plus they are getting Conker:Live and Reloaded, Half Life 2, and Farcry in the summer. People will use the new XBox Live system even if there is a fee because the original service surpassed most people's expectations so they know that XBox 360's online service won't disssapoint either. Take my word for it, it will have much more features and more revolutionary technology than Nintendo or Sony has to offer. I will come back to this thread when all the systems are out if I have to.

I wouldn't say that it was the underdog, as Microsoft already had a good reputation software wise, and I would say that they were on a par with the Gamecube, as the N64 didn't do all that well beforehand. And here is when you go into your extreme fanboy phase: Xbox has the best online gaming system of any console of all time - Xbox live is terrible. Im not 100% on the price, but lets just say it isn't steep, its bloody vertical. And the games don't make good use of it either. On Pro Evo 4, you can quit in the middle of a game if you are losing 4-0 and it won't register as a loss for you. And if you are in a winning position with a minute to go, the losing player could quit and it wouldn't go down as a win for you. Its ridiculous. And what else can the Xbox muster in the online stakes? Halo 2, the most overrated game ever, and a couple of rubbish RPG's, that offer nothing new. Most of the features you mentioned for the Xbox and the upcoming one were thought up first by one innovative company: Nintendo. You rave about wireless controllers, but its all been done before. And I haven't seen the lineup, but I bet it is full of crap such as Halo 3, some terrible RPG's, and a few N64 ports made by Rare. Against Halo 2, against XBox Live. Ok, first lets discuss the price. $5.99 Canadian a month. Wow, that so expensive! Only about 1/3 the price you pay for 1 Nintendo Power magazine. Second, you probably havn't played all the games. Halo 2 isn't overrated, but it always seems to be the Nintendo fanboys who think it is. Its got download content, a great new innovative "Party System", a great matchmaking system, clans, and online stats and leaderboards, splitscreen (you can even play with 3 friends on 1 tv against other people online), co-op, system link, and a great campaign storyline and enviroments and you even get to see the Covenant side.. I know some games are not very good online, but there are quite a few good ones and you have to know which ones to play. Here is a very small list of great XBox Live enabled games off the top of my head: DOOM 3 - Online co-op, multiplayer, and download content. Star Wars Battlefront - online multiplayer and download content. Halo 2 - already mentioned reasons above. Forza Motorsport - Great features, can't name them since I have not played it yet. All I know is my friend is constantly playing it and it has a cool garage mode (kind of like a "clan" for racing) and great online competition. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory - Great online multiplayer, downlaod content, and online co-op. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Black Arrow - Great multiplayer and download content + use of new xbox live updates. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 3 - Online co-op, online multiplayer, download content. Unreal Championship 2 - Great online multiplayer and download content. Another great game that will be comming out is Conker:Live and Reloaded. There are plenty more great online titles, but those are just ones I like and can think of right now. What titles are ports of N64? Conker:Live and Reloaded isn't a port, and its comming out for XBox, not XBox 360! Perfect Dark Zero is definatly not a port. Its a sequel. Halo 3 isn't a launch title, its rumoured to come out on PS3's launch. And you can say its overrated, ITS NOT OUT YET AND HAS NO INFORMATION ON IT. Your post is full of ignorance. If Halo 2 was available on every console, Nintendo fanboys would be hyping Halo 3 like there is no tomorrow. Other launch titles are Project Gotham Racing 3, Tom Clany's Ghost Recon 3, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06, Gears of War, Kameo:Elements of Power, and Need for Speed Most Wanted. Once again, I am not a fanboy. Usually a fanboy only owns 1 console, while I own all 3. I just prefer XBox over the other 2, because I think it has done alot of things that other consoles have not and the games have been great.

I prefer my XBox, although I used to love Nintendo back with N64 and SNES. I just don't think the Gamecube had games or technology that appealed to me. You can say "SURE, THATS WHAT YOU SAY BUT REALLY YOU ONLY OWN AN XBOX!!!", but you could also take my word for it. Second, so what if Microsoft hyped their original xbox and said it was for the l33t gamers? It kind of is. XBox Live lets you compete against people all over the world, so it is for leet gamers if you want to put it that way. The XBox 360's internet has 2 different selections. You can use the "silver edition" which allows you to use the online system for free on weekends. Or, you can use the "Gold edition" which allows you to use it any time all week for a small fee about the same as the original XBox. Also, XBox has more experience in online gaming and have an incredible amount of new features (plus the old ones) and will most likely out-do Nintendo in this section of gaming. Your just upset Nintendo isn't what it used to be and really dropped the ball for Third Party support with Gamecube. Not only did it lack that, but it also lacked DVD play, online gaming, and they didn't allow you to play N64 games on it (because of their "anti-piracy mini discs" which allowed you to store less on each disc). They could of added a slot to put cartridges in so you could play N64 games, but they didn't.

Weed isn't as bad as most people think. Its something fun to do once and a while if used responsibly and fun to do with friends. MMORPG's are much more unhealthy, addictive, anti-social, and pointless. Weed is just to have a good time every once and a while. I'm still getting a B average and I smoke up every now and then. And I go to a Private School, 3rd best school in Canada.

Half Life - Revolutionary Warcraft 2 - First good RTS, In my opinion Counter-Strike - First great online FPS Worms 2 - Agree with earlier poster, this game rocks and is fun to play with friends. Takes so much stradegy, tactics, and is definatly a unique experience. Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory - Free online FPS, has the BEST maps ever. Thats right, they are the best I have played to date. Download 'Temple' and you can see the awesomeness. World of Warcraft - Best MMORPG to date Half Life 2 - Revolutionary physics and graphics
