  1. Cool, how old are you? It took me about that long back in Grade 4. Now I can clear 6 decks :P
  2. Actually a 59% is. Actually depends on where you live. Where I live it's.... 92-100 A 84-91 B 75-83 C 67-74 D 0-66 F And compare that to Canada's: 86-100 A 73-85 B 68-72 C+ 60-67 C 50-59 C- 0-49 F
  3. Another reason that I love Canada for. Plus the easier marking system. Haha, a 50% is a fail in America...

    Punk ?

I agree 100% with you. Great bands..
  5. All time favourite guitar solo. Love it. I think any Nirvana song is worth listening to. Completly different styles of music and are the pioneers of the Grunge genre of music...
  6. If I update this thread weekly, do you think it deserves a stick? I'll be updating it this weekend, when exams are finished :P .
  7. Soooo eh, did you get KOTOR2?  Go to hell  Its fun to be angry!
  8. Great song, it was in Happy Gilmore :D
  9. Yeah, it had alot of freedom and things that have never been seen before. If they had of put in online play over XBox Live it would of been incredible and more content would of been nice. Awesome game though!

I like 9/10 of those bands :P . I just hate some genres and they are directed to a certain group of people.
  11. Haha, yeah Beach was great. Frenchies vs Teddies!
  12. Glad this thread is useful. Expect an update soon.

Not really. Your neighbors must think you are suicidal. Simple plan- Nowhere near suicidal music Linkin park- About the same Skillet- probably....but they're Christian, so it's all good Another "pop punk" group is Anberlin, they have a good song. Linkin Park is for people who are insecure about themselves and does have many hints to suicide in their lyrics. 'In the End' 'One step closer' C'mon, think about the meanings of those titles for a moment.
  14. It was :P This post is making me miss Scapeboard... Hehe, want to read the omegawytch chronicles again? Moridin managed to save them all, and reposted them at rsinn :P Phil is such a gangster.

    Halo 2

Took me 2 weeks to beat it on legendary... It's easy to beat it if you know how you play. I'll play you online and see if you actually have beat it online. I got stuck half way through the first level, and I know how to play. Call me a "noob", but I was a level 20 before the ranks were reset and now I'm a 30.

  18. Ok, I decided this would be a great and very useful thread. Pretty much, just list games that you know are great. I'll do some XBox ones. *Note* - All prices are in Canadian currency. XBox FPS's Halo:Combat Evolved This is the game that sparked XBox on its release date. It boosted XBox sales and took advantages of the XBox's features. It features an excellent campaign, cooperative, splitscreen, and system-link game modes. It was a remake of Bungie's older series, Marathon. All XBox owners and First Person Shooter fans should own this game. Company: Bungie Price: $29.99 Year made: 2001 Electric Playground Review Score: 9/10 Halo 2 The sequel to the huge hit, Halo:Combat Evolved. The huge upgrade to this game was the XBox Live online feature. It uses all of XBox Live's latest updates and features. The storyline is continued and has all the loved elements from the previous installment. Another instant XBox classic. Company: Bungie Price: $59.99 Year made: 2004 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Unreal Championship 2:The Liandri Conflict The sequel to the original, which was a huge hit over XBox Live. This version is built completly new from the ground up. They have made a new graphics engine using the Unreal Technology, added a new third person camera view with melee weapons, new campaign mode, and has the same great XBox Live experience. This is game that any Unreal fan should own or any fans of the FPS genre. Company: Midway Price: $59.99 Year made: 2005 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Brothers in Arms:Road to Hill 30 This game is partly based on a true story in World War II. You play as Matthew Baker, and are incharge of a squad. The realism in this game is fantastic and the squad tactics work very well. The storyline and cinematics are blended very well together and the online play is very different from what you would expect. Instead of getting your average Capture the Flag and Deathmatch modes, you get mission objects while you are leading you squad against other online squad leaders. This may possibly be the best WWII FPS on any console. Company: Ubisoft Price: $59.99 Year made: 2005 Electric Playground Review Score:: N/A DOOM 3 This game was originally made on the PC in 2004, and ported to the XBox. This is not a straight port, though. They have redesigned the game to fit the XBox and the transition was amazing. It still keeps its breathtaking graphics, it utilizes Dolby Sorround Sound 5.1, and it takes advantage of XBox Live. The controls are very smooth and are familiar to XBox users, and you can play cooperative only via XBox Live or System-Link. Company: ID Software Price: $69.99 Year made: 2005 Electric Playground Review Score: 8/10 The Chronicles of Rid[bleep]:Escape from Butcher's Bay An extraordinary video game spawned from a movie, one of the best since 007:Goldeneye. The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is very unique. You can use stealth to your advantage or try and go guns a blazin'. A great campaign, but multiplayer was missing here. Company: Sierra Price: $59.99 Year made: 2004 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Star Wars:Republic Commando The first tactical first person shooter in the Star Wars series. Definatly a great job making this game. With gorgous graphics, an awesome HUD, great animations, and cool gun upgrades, this game is hard to put down. You can give your squad a number of commands to accomplish an objective and the gameplay is fantastic. The only real negative is the cheap multiplayer they seemed to throw into this game. Company: Lucas Arts Price: $59.99 Year released: 2005 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Rainbow Six 3:Black Arrow Black Arrow is a multiplayer expansion from the original game, Rainbow Six 3. Black Arrow offers all the latest XBox Live updates and features and has some great maps and weapons. The realism in this shooter is excellent, but this results in a very steep learning curve. If you are expecting to go online and kick some [wagon], you probably won't without some practice. If your a FPS fanatic or you want some realism, pick this game up. Company: Ubisoft Price: Unknown Year made: 2004 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A ===================================================== Role Playing Games Knights of the Old Republic This is arguebly the best Star Wars game ever. It is a turned base role playing game that you decide the fate of your jedi. You have choices to make which impact the outcome of the game. You build your own party and customize your own light sabre. This is a must own for all Star War and RPG fans. Company: Bioware Price: $29.99 Year made:: 2003 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Knights of the Old Republic II:The Sith Lords The follow up to the game of the year in 2003. KOTOR II was made by a different company, Lucas Arts, instead of Bioware. This game is similiar to iits prequel and continues the epic story of Darth Revan and Darth Malak. Company: Lucas Arts Price: $69.99 Year made: 2004 Electric Playground Review Score: 8.5/10 Fable Fable is a game unlike anything I have ever played. The freedom and features in it are amazing. For example, you could go into a town, kill some civilians, break some windows, and get charged for murder and vandalism. You can buy stores, houses, and start families. The single player is also very good and the controls are easy to adjust to. Company: Big Blue Box Price: $39.99 Year made: 2004 Electric Playground Review Score: 9/10 Phantasy Star Online This game was made originally on the Dreamcast and then ported to XBox and Gamecube. This is a fantastic idea and a good start on MMORPG's for consoles. You can play splitscreen and over XBox Live which is a great feature for XBox Live. It still needs some work, and you have to pay a monthly fee if playing online. Company: Sega Price: Unknown Year made: 2003 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Morrowind:Game of the Year edition Morrowind is a game with a huge and vast world to explore and the freedom to do pretty much anything you see. The game does have some bugs, and can be slow paced at times, but it pays off with the replay value. Hundreds of hours can be spent playing this game and finding bonuses. Company: Ubisoft Price: $29.99 Year made: 2002 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Jade Empire Jade Empire was made by the company that gave us the original KOTOR and this game takes place in ancient China. The fighting system is quite different from Bioware's other RPG's and this time it is more real-time, like a game such as Fable. There is a great storyline with lots of depth and a long single player experience. Company: Bioware Price: $59.99 Year made: 2005 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A ======================================================= Racing Games Burnout 3 Burnout 3 is truly a unique and amazing game. Its a game that you can have fun winning, or losing, and be amazed at the graphics and car crashes. It features XBox Live multiplayer, 2 player splitscreen, and a long single player that will take most gamers over 30 hours to complete. Company: Electronic Arts Price: $24.99 Year made: 2004 Electric Playground Review Score: 9.5/10 Forza Motorsport Forza Motorsport was hyped to be 'The Gran Turismo 4 Killer'. It definatly lived up to its hype and showed how well racing games could be done online. The online and single player are blended very together and have many features including selling/buying cars, starting car collections with friends, and racing competativly against others. The physics and car damage are extremly realistic in this game and really portray each car realisticlly. The car customization and upgrades are very fun and easy to do, and make the car designs unlimited. Company: Microsoft Price: $59.99 Year made: 2005 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Project Gotham Racing 2 Project Gotham Racing 2 is an amazing racing experience and the first racing simulator to feature XBox Live. It has licenses to many big name car companies and realistic car damage. If you are looking for a cheaper car racer and you want to play with your friends over XBox Live, this is the right game for you. Company: Microsoft Price: $29.99 Year made: 2003 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Need for Speed Underground 2 Need for Speed Underground 2 is the sequel to the original hit. It offers XBox Live online play and amazing car customization. This is a great game for any street racer fans or racing junkies. Company: Electronic Arts Price: $69.99 Year made: 2004 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Midnight Club 3:DUB Edition Midnight Club 3:DUB Edition is possibly the biggest and best street racer available on the XBox. Although the concept of street racing is getting a bit stale now, Midnight 3 still delivers some new ideas. The graphics and enviroments look beautiful and the car customization is great. The online is better than NFSU2 and has some awesome features. Company: Rockstar Price: $59.99 Year made: 2005 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Rallisport Challenge 2 One of the only [and definatly the best] rally racing games on the XBox, this game really shows what rally racing is all about. The physics and visuals show the gamer what rally racing really is. The dirt is incredible and the XBox Live feature and leaderboards never get old. Company: Microsoft Price: $29.99 Year made: 2004 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A ======================================================= Action/Adventure Games Ninja Gaiden Ninja Gaiden is an amazing game to say the least. Possibly the best ninja/samurai game ever made. The abilities and moves you can pull off in this game are incredible and the graphics are unbelievable. The storyline is very good and the boss fights are extremly hard. The overall game is very hard for new gamers and the learning curve is very steep, but the payoff is well worth it. Company: Tecmo Price: $49.99 Year made: 2004 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2 Ghost Recon 2 is an excellent army war game and the guns and enviroments are very realistic. There is a huge arsenal of weapons and the XBox Live mode is fantastic. You can bring people from splitscreen onto XBox Live and play against others on Co-op, Squad, or against each other. The storyline is about threats in North Korea and another new feature in this game is the option to move the camera to over-the-shoulder. Company: Ubisoft Price: $39.99 Year made: 2004 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Tom Clany's Splinter Cell Choas Theory Splinter Cell Choas Thoery offers a vast way to play the game. You can now play online, or offline via splitscreen, and complete missions with a friend with exclusive cooperative moves. There is also the loved multiplayer modes from Pandora Tomorrow. The graphics are top-notch on the XBox and it is a very dark game, so take out the night-vision goggles. Company: Ubisoft Price: $59.99 Year made: 2005 Electric Playground Review Score: 9.5/10 Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time can be recommended wholeheartedly. It looks fantastic and features responsive controls, some original play mechanics, a good story, and plenty of thrilling adventure. It is also a remake of an 80's hit. Company: Ubisoft Price: $19.99 Year made: 2003 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Prince of Persia:Warrior Within PoP:Warrior Within is the sequel to 2003's huge hit and it is more dark sequel. The music style is more heavy rock and there is much more gore and violence. Although this game was a dissapointment to some, it is still a very enjoyable game and a long-lasting campaign experience. Company: Ubisoft Price: $39.99 Year made: 2004 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Mercenaries Mercenaries is a very unique game. You play the role as one of three characters and you can use any vehicle that you see. Every building or structure that you see is fully destructable and this makes for more replay value and fun. Company: Lucas Arts Price: $69.99 Year made: 2004 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Oddworld:Strangers Wrath Strangers Wrath is another installment in the Oddworld series. This time round, you are a bounty hunter who's weapon is a crossbow that uses live ammunition. There is first person and third person modes and the game has quite a few twists through the duration of the storyline. Company: Oddworld Price: $39.99 Year made: 2005 Electric Playground Review Score: 8.5/10 Grand Theft Auto:Double Pack Grand Theft Auto:Double Pack includes both hit games originally on the Playstation 2 (GTA 3 + GTA:Vice City) for a great price. This double pack will keep you busy for weeks and is a great deal. If you never experienced these games on PS2, you should definatly pick up GTA:Double Pack. Company: Rockstar Price: Unknown Year made: 2003 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A Grand Theft Auto:San Andreas Grand Theft Auto:San Andreas was a massive hit game on the Playstation 2 released in October 2004, and it is now available on the XBox. Other than altered graphics, it is pretty much the same game. If you havn't played it on the PS2, you should check it out. If you already own the PS2 version, this is not worth the rent or buy. Company: Rockstar Price: $49.99 Year made: 2005 Electric Playground Review Score: N/A ======================================================= Anticipated Games Conker:Live and Reloaded Conker:Live and Reloaded is a remake of the Nintendo 64 classic. The graphics are completly revamped and there are some new features; the biggest one being XBox Live online play. The storyline has been tweaked and the online will support 16 players. Company: Rare Price: $59.99 Release Date: June 21st, 2005 Half Life 2 Half Life 2 is officially being ported the XBox. There will be more great multiplayer similiar to what you experienced in Black Arrow and a great Campaign mode. Company: Ubisoft Price: Unknown Release Date: September, 2005 ======================================================== I will update this list in the future.
  19. How about...Pop-hard rock. They are a bunch of sold out, bad musicians who only know how to play open power chords and have no connections to their lyrics, they just know teens will buy their stuff if their lyrics are suicidal and insecure. Linkin Park + Good Charlotte + MTV = Worst music ever.
  20. I've been told that different models of xbox360 (2) will be sold for different prices. A smaller one to suit those that thought the original is to big which is not playback compatible. One similar to the original with hard drive that is. And a 3rd one that is almost like an xcomputer that is also playback compatible. I don't know how reliable my sorce is however. Nope. You are somewhat right, but its a bit different. All XBox 360's will have backwards compatability. They are doing it a bit differently, though. Since Nivida made the original XBox's graphics card, and ATI made XBox 360's graphics card, doing backwards compatability was difficult. So instead, they only did it for the big hits on XBox. You can probably expect games like Halo and KOTOR, etc. I also heard you can buy 2 different XBox 360's. The normal 20 gig one that is $300 and then the upgraded version with more memory for $400. But after seeing E3 and Microsoft's conferences, it looks like this is false.
  21. People keep bragging about specs and stats. If the games interest you, buy the system If the games suck, the system won't be much fun.
  22. Cell > 3.2Ghz processor I wasn't informed of any benchmarks being released? In any case, some sites seem to claim the Xbox 360 uses three CPU cores each running at 3.2ghz. Whether this would outdo the Cell, which is also a multicore processor, isn't something that can be told by statistics. As we all know the hertz means very little when determining actual power. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox360/factsheet.htm If that site isn't credible I don't know what is ;) And it would appear that it *is* compatible with old games.... http://www.xbreporter.com/xbox_2_news.php And cut the "fanboy" argument *now*. Else this gets locked. I don't see any reason why this thread should get locked. Its just a good discussion on the next gen system, no swearing or racism or anything inappropriate.
  23. Just by saying Halo is overrated makes the rest of your post sound absolutley ridiculous. Your completly right, since you don't think the MP maps are great, the whole Multiplayer feature must be garbage. The maps are fine, I have played tons of FPS's (only genre I am really interested in) and maps like Zanzibar, Turf, Containment, and Lockout are some of the best I have ever seen. Time Splitters Future Perfect has nothing new other than a decent map maker. Its fun for a while, but gets stale and has linear gameplay. So Forza isn't much even though you have not even played it? Wow. Just wow. Reread that sentence if you don't understand what you posted. http://www.gamerankings.com , a website that averages most review websites/shows and Forza has 94.8% is pretty damned good. Infact, with that score, I wouldn't be surprised if Forza Motorsport wins game of the year award from alot of review sites. All Tom Clancy's games suck? They are for people who are into more realistic shooters and usually have great single player, multiplayer, and graphical features. Just because you don't like them doesn't make them bad games. Lastly, I completly disagree with you posting that XBox has the most RPG's yet they are the crappiest. I find that PS2 has the most and XBox has the least. And lately, XBox's RPGs have kicked [wagon]. Jade Empire, awesome experience. Fable, really innovative (as Nintendo likes to overuse the innovative word), and a unique experience you cannot have with any other game. Its a great game. KOTOR series, arguebly the best Star Wars based games ever. You can manipulate your sorroundings and it has an amazing storyline. Phantasy Star Online, the first MMORPG on a console.
  24. Yeah, thats why I bought an XBox. FPS's, because I have had bad computer luck in the past and expenses are insane. Then I discovered how XBox did more than 1 genre well. The graphics were also a bit better than my other consoles IMO. Fable has a similiar combat system to the Zelda's on N64. And has some really awesome features (like obeying the law in the city, owning houses, getting married, etc.) I agree with you though, each console has better genres. I'm a huge FPS fan so thats mainly why I picked up my XBox.
