  1. He does extra damage to you but doesnt heal (at least nothing significant/that i noticed)
  2. Been getting alot of the really low abandoned bosses so posting this to help out people. Bulwark: First person in prays melee and after that the person getting 'looked at' (the tank) by bulwark prays melee. Everyone else prays range the whole time. Unless you have a good magic bonus (ie you looted spiritblooms) dont bother maging him at all. Seems to do a lot less damage if you all pray range and spread out around him so its clear who has to pray melee. Horde: Fast weapons rock as opposed to slower weapons, they seem to be incredibly weak to range/magic also (for skeletons at least) try and leave 1 type till last and pray against it, ie: kill mages as first priority and pray range (with meleers second priority) Hobogoblin geomancer: Seems to have lots and lots of ranged defence but seems to be easy to hit with slash (with 2h). Ragers make this boss alot easier. He doesnt seem to heal of turmoil but turmoil flash if your low hp/food otherwise if you think u can live you might wanna try regular turmoiling. Seriously I dont think ranging with hex is worth it (except if he holds you to the spot) unless his defence has been lowered alot and/or you have rigour. Also with shadow forger i have no idea still how the hell to reduce the chance of dieing other then spreading out and praying range but there must be some way to do it... maybe if you all synchronised meleeing it like thunderous he might blob out alot less but i honestly dont know... he does too much damage...
  3. Hi I was thinking about battleaxe + ccs. Would perhaps Longsword + ccs be at least on the same level as battleaxe? I say this because the damage of longsword is only slightly less, but you get an emergency stab (for high levelled leather dragons and 'maybe' very high levelled hellhounds) and everything that you normally crush (mainly skeletons) can be maged right? Only problem i can think of is that you would use alot of runes, but you can do logout trick or loot ess nd craft more runes right...

I cant be certain on fish ferret but im 100% sure you dont need feathers on pondskaters. also making a melee pot for clearing depends on your skills total and availability of pots on your team obviously. If your low total and theres plenty of pots, make a pot to clear with (or if you just leech of keyer and just do gtgd's etc just make a pot or w/e)
  6. its not overkill no, everyone (maybe not keyer) should be carrying 3 vials of water imo. You sacrifice 2 spots doing this that is all. (tip: drop the feathers u get from tk and theres 1 free space) as for seed planting it is overkill if more then 2 people do it, 1 person is plenty. and assuming everyone gates ht at start, soon as u get enough cash buy seconds (if you dont have high skills just buy 2x claws for melee + rejuv) on ur first trip back to ht to make runes. Also dont rush drops for coins when u have enough, if noone else takes then take it.
  7. btw heres something i 'discovered' as well. If everyone on the team has a high enough herblore level its very very worth it to drop 'excess' lycos and winters (from seeds) on ground and let them make unfs (everyone should have 3 vials of water from start imo). If everyone is carrying seconds like they should and have high enough skills, no more 'mgt to 93 wc then gt 93 wc etc' (on path)! otherwise you just make strong melees! also buckthorns are worth planting if noone wants to suicide, but everyone will have to make their own rejuv potions as the seed planter will just drop clean buckthorns on the ground in a gd etc and the rest just make unfs and then rejuvs. this is awesome if u have a boss like thunderous where u can hence turm the whole time because your whole team is turming and most of you have melee pots ready turns a 1min boss into a 30 sec boss :D. Also I copy tui for time saving (except suiciding) :P eyebeam for speed and toad for... everything, his word is law (except for no ragers on occs!!).
  8. im fine at not dieing just in warps its incredibly hard to not die and go fast at the same time. idk about u but i have full inventory slots and space for about 4 fish at a time these days because i make unfs and try and make ragers etc and warp stuffs rape edit: ill b more specific, im often carrying so much stuff such as unf potions and seconds etc so its rare for me to have lots of free spots for fish. As for keying i have more space... but well im keying and if the team is slow to gtgd, the 133 shade + pick + mage kills me (happened yesterday for example)
  9. ok no worries then ill stick to hood. I just honestly believe in warps hood is very limited (not useless) because everything hits hard! also who else noticed theres only 3 things that use range, skeletons, zombies and rangers (haha hoodlove) LOL
  10. You make sense and everything but u also reduce damage with having a body. I think people just havent tried it out enough and just assume its worse... but idk. As for puzzle rooms it depends on the circumstances whether hood > sagi body or otherwise. Lots of times i love my hood lots of times i hate it!! and for mimes thats trivial!! In general i really wanna try sagi body! i know bu11seye doesnt have hood etc (but he does suicide to be fair).
  11. I seem to never get survivor on warps (and im sick of often dieing 3+ times!!) and im close to c1'ing my abandons. So what is dgs's opinion on getting 99 defence and swapping hood for sagittarian body. Hood seems to be the best in abandons, but then its usefulness in occults is just 'after the mages in a gd are dead u can 1by 1 kill the skeletons/zombies..' (also im breaking hood anyway at 120 when i see a blood necklace!)
  12. When i get 99 attack, should I bind a battleaxe (question for grimy mainly please). my reason: soloable gd's (ie the zombie or skeleton gd etc) are annoying with 2hander. Also i do turmoil flash.

Something helpful i discovered, at start if you have a decent amount of coins after toolkit, buy 2 more empty vials (100gp) and fill all 3 immediately. and then ofcourse is what everyone does!! loot herbs and make unfs (with ur vials). also loot seconds, claw and moss are most important. also if you dont got a high herblore its better to let someone else take the lycos and winters grips unless they dont have vials of water. even buckthorn and featherfoil are very useful, strong rejuv gives an extra 3 rager scroll uses on boss (and prayer) :D if you dont use lyco/val/magebane by end u can easily make a melee potion as well for boss...

I have no concrete data nor did i do enough floors to know this for sure... but theres a new good way to hunt for ssh's! c6 small 5:5 furnished (and maybe abandoned) got an average of 1 spider a floor! (this included floors with dead bonus doors cuz we're not gonna pot for 100+ in a small :P) Also alot of fun tbh and the exp is decent, its like ur always doing a boss!! Just stomp + sagittare means long floors...

Hey if you're trying to survive on trio, why not just pray range and cancel out the mages (slow) attacks with gatestone teleport... if its still looking at you ready to hit you again, gt outside make new gate and enter. Ive used the trick on shadowforger/runebound in desperate situations before ;P

  18. Should work towards empowered fire, though. The 10% really helps and entgallow trees are everywhere. Blood spindle branches cost 1650 gp, which makes a fire staff. Also making an emp fire is often a waste of time for not much of an increase in damage. I think he missed the point, its cheap easy and doesnt need 80 rc 88 fletching 80 woodcutting to DIY. Not to mention you can get it almost straight away. I just think its important because of all the wind surging!

Hey can you add to guidelines for all csb users a DIY guide on making fire staff. collect 5k+ coins next time your at ht, count 4 branches across and/or buy the one just under 7k or 5k or whatever make staff make fire staff. otherwise: look out for spinebeam brances or t4(?) branches or better and make staff when you see rc altar or next time you're at ht, make fire staff It helps alot at speeding up those 296 fire giants, 199 ghosts and the odd black demon. And also if you cant use fire surge, then just make a earth/water staff lol i feel like a noob because i always thought i needed corpsthorn or entgallow to make empowered fire, but for prom warriors etc, regular is pretty much as good, and can be gotten earlier!

  21. Hey doesnt magic (on its own) have the best coverage over all. I'm thinking: is it crazy for someone whos 100 dungeoneering to have CCS, surgebox, and that t11 magic top and hood. If you designate mager on the best things to mage in order in each gd and meleers on best things to melee... wouldn't that be very good? You don't need alot of magic accuracy to hit hard and magic potions help alooooot, giving that extra accuracy from the top would give magic even more coverage. Am I right? Just curious because surge + 30% + mystic might + blazer! = alot of damage :)
