  1. The bit that does make it a tad evil is that the empty space is in the middle which does rather break the standard solve method for sliding puzzles that relies on empty space being bottom right. I solved it like it was a sliding puzzle and it didn't work.
  2. I really liked the event, especially the music. Nice to hear an RS take on the oompa loompas :) I will say that the last puzzle after completion is evil though, cannot work it out.
  3. There’s some Sliske business going in Gielinor this Easter – are you brave (or hungry) enough to find out what the malicious Mahjarrat is up to in his newly built chocolate factory? Also, gear up for the Chronicle open beta by taking part in a special event this week with some fantastic rewards. If you get a spare moment, check out the rogue outfits in Solomon’s Store too! Sliske and the Chocolate Factory This event is open to both free-to-play and RuneScape members. Sliske has set up a chocolate factory in the Empyrean Citadel for unknown reasons and is providing tours to lucky winners via rare chocolate butterflies that appeared alongside the yearly ones that arrive in memory of Guthix. Catch the last chocolate butterfly, get its golden ticket, sneak the Easter Bunny inside the citadel and investigate a factory filled with singing bobble-numbskulls and puzzles. What’s Sliske up to? Will the other tour winners be safe without your help? Will there be any mysterious "accidents" in the factory? There is only one way to find out - grab the ticket, take the ride! How to Start Head over to the Burthrope lodestone and speak to the Easter Bunny. Then, catch the last chocolate butterfly to receive a golden ticket. This will teleport you to Sliske’s Chocolate Factory. Rewards A unique emote, an everlasting gobstopper (has some interesting effects when used!), the ability to catch 5 more Guthixian butterflies per day, and 3 parts of the event can be dismantled to create component bags for Invention. These can be claimed by anyone, even free-to-play players, and will wait until you are eligible to start Invention. Keep an eye out for this week’s Treasure Hunter update which has a fun new format inspired by Guthixian butterflies and some awesome butterfly-themed rewards – let us know what you think! Chronicle Open Beta Celebration | Book Companion Pet The whole of Gielinor is gearing up for the open beta launch of our collectible card-game, Chronicle: RuneScape Legends on 23rd March. From now until 4th April, get in game and look for characters playing Chronicle on special tables. Near them will be a Gorajo hoardstalker with a special gift for you – a Chronicle book companion pet. “Read” your book pet and answer a new Chronicle question each day for 14 days. Correctly answering all questions will grant you either prismatic star or lamp. You can also use your book pet to “play” Chronicle. This starts a special animation and gives you a 5% XP boost for an hour. You can do this as many times as you like during the event. The pet must be active or used as a familiar override for this to work. We hope you have fun joining us to celebrate the important moves that Chronicle is making! Ironman players can answer questions and earn a lamp (but not a star). Ironman players are unable to receive the XP buff for "playing Chronicle" with the pet. Solomon’s Store | Rogue Outfit The season of new outfits continues in Solomon’s Store this week - if finery isn’t your thing, and you fancy yourself a bit of a vagabond, then the Rogue Outfit is here for you. 4. Invention is back with a bang, and the focus is onskilling. Get out there and discover new ways to augment your fishing and woodcutting tools. Also this week, get ready for a combat and skilling community event at the entrance of God Wars Dungeon 2. It starts on Thursday so keep your eyes peeled for more details later this week. Invention: Fishing and Woodcutting | General Improvements As requested by you, it gives us great pleasure to unleash the beast of Invention onto the world of skilling. First up are Fishing and Woodcutting which have freshly received the inventor’s treatment. From today’s update you can discover blueprints for a new device - the fishing rod-o-matic - as well as how to make tool gizmos. You can also augment your crystal and dragon hatchets and crystal rods. The crystal or dragon hatchets can also be augmented from your tool belt – speak to Doc in the Invention Guild north-east of Falador for more info. The possibility of adding perks that will aid (or hinder!) your fishing and woodcutting prowess has also been added. How does an augmented tool that can teleport logs directly to your bank sound? What about a fishing rod that also rewards other players stood in your vicinity? It’s all there to be discovered, so get inventing! Your newly augmented tools will also gain item XP and equipment levels, just as if they were augmented weapons. They also use significantly less charge than your invention weapons. Today’s update has also allowed for a few wholesale improvements to Invention, including: Charge drain has been decreased by 10% for everything Invention XP gained by disassembling and siphoning levelled equipment is now scaled to item tier - you get 15% more XP for tier 90 and 15% less for level 70 A new device - the Augmentation Dissolver - allows you to remove augmentations from equipment For a full list of Invention updates, as well as all other things included in this update, see the patch notes. There will be plenty of rewards and XP up for grabs, including some really cool things like animations and unique weapons. This event will run similarly to The Lost Sword of Raddallin, with personal and community goals to achieve for even more unlocks! 5. I finally hit 310 clue items, so here's a tab update :) Bonus barrows dye is included, and I still have the sack of effigies keepsaked.
  6. Blog Update: 310 Clue Items! (Took long enough, damn my luck) Thats right, ladies and gentlemen, I have 310 clue items at long last! Picture spam time! Obviously, bonus barrows dye and I still have my sack of effigies keepsaked as well.
  7. Its not a new map, its an updated map. Thats the original one from the guide.
  8. Its like Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing had a baby, but with a little more meat to it with some cool features that neither of those games have. If you liked either of those games or you just want to try something new I'd give it a shot, its a wonderful game with an inexpensive cost (its £11 in the UK and around $15 USD)
  9. Stardew Valley has stolen my soul. But I'm still messing around on Grenwall! Got an absolute tonne of mining to do when I log in tomorrow, for an urn challenge and a ceremonial steel armour challenge, as well as a load of barb fishing. Maybe I'll get lucky and get another golden fishing egg, I randomly got the Tuna egg whilst doing a challenge last week.
  10. I finally got 120 cooking! Wheee
  11. Blog Update: 120 Cooking Achieved! Thats right folks, I finally got it! Special thanks to Jason, Vikki, Kieran and Ian for coming to see me get it :) <3
  12. Still haven't done the new quest, but I have stocked up on Pawya for double xp! I'll most definitely be getting 120 cooking this weekend! I might start posting updates for Grenwall as well, although idk. Its still a noob of an account with nothing amazing on it as of yet. Maybe I'll get lucky on a clue scroll or something...Nah, when does that ever happen?
  13. There’s rather a lot going on in RuneScape this week, so bear with us. First up, we see the launch of RuneMetrics – a suite of powerful analytical tools to help you ‘Scape with maximum efficiency. God Books can now be put in pocket slots and have also received some love in the form of new god-themed procs. Finally, we have a fresh batch of Invention improvements to be discovered and then utilised. Phew! Read on for more… RuneMetrics RuneMetrics is a set of analytical tools that can be used to track your efficiency in all the ways you play RuneScape. It is useable both in game and via special sections of the RuneScape website. Everyone has access to the free version which provides basic XP trackers and the drop log. On top of this, there is also a more detailed version called RuneMetrics Pro. This level of the service allows you to check historical data and access more advanced analytical tools such as XP-per-hour, time to next level, and damage-per-minute counters. A subscription to RuneMetrics Pro can be purchased for 1 bond per month or via credit cards and PayPal. Gold Premier Club members will get an exclusive 2-week trial of RuneMetrics Pro, as well as a half-price discount for the rest of the year. Check out the RuneMetrics page of the website for more information. RuneMetrics has many uses and we’re excited to see the conclusions you draw from the data you track. Will you create graphs to determine the highest damage you can cause with your equipment and finally take-down that tricky boss? How much time will you save for other Gielinor activities when you know your exactly how soon you will level up a crucial skill? It’s all to play for, so let us know what you think via the forums. God Book Improvements Several changes have been made in today’s update to improve to both the functionality of god books and illuminated god books, and to review their balance. These include: God books are now equipped in the pocket slot instead of the off-hand slot. Each god book has a special proc effect that is unique to the god it represents, with a chance to activate whenever you attack. These are based on the original God Wars Dungeon bosses, so if you’ve ever fancied doing Nex’s ice prison attack or smashing your foes with K’ril Tsutsaroth’s slam attack, now is your chance! You can use god book pages on god books to recharge them. God books require 30 or 40 Prayer to wear (regular and illuminated versions respectively). Unfinished god books are wearable in the pocket slot but provide weaker bonuses and no proc effect. Reclaiming god books from a player-owned house bookcase now incurs a cost (100k for completed, 120k for illuminated). Invention | Update As always, our inventors have been tinkering with Invention and this week’s update sees the skill getting a healthy update. 19. Blog Update: A spree of Clues and one very prickly Grenwall I've been playing on Grenwall on and off again, along with Pawya. Been pretty ill, but finally starting to feel a lot better, but because of it my sleeping habit has gone to shit, so my playing of RS has been erratic. Not really training Invention. Its pretty complex and hard for me to understand fully. But, I did use everyone selling their gear to buy supplies to my advantage and bought a Nox Staff, meaning I finally have all tier 90 weaps now! Now I just need to work on getting the money back together for gold membs. I'm about 10m off 120 cooking as well, but I got sick of grinding for it so I'm taking a break from it. I mainly have double clue pics for you all today. Only one clue item off posting a tab update too, which is pretty cool!
  20. Invention is finally here and the tech-level of Gielinor is about to be pushed through the roof! Get in game today and begin augmenting your gear and discovering perks with this brand-new elite skill. Requirements You must be Level 80 in Divination, Smithing and Crafting. Where to start Go to the Guild of Inventors north of Falador and speak to Doc to begin your own journey of discovery. What’s Invention all about? Invention is all about changing the way you approach RuneScape and the challenges of Gielinor. It’s about augmenting and modifying your gear, adding perks that give new dimensions and possibilities. Build sets of gear that are truly your own, and finally overcome those tricky bosses by inventing items that give you a real advantage - it’s all to play for! How about a weapon that you’ve modified to deal extra damage to demons? What about armour that has a small chance of reducing received damage to just 1? Or how about a mysterious enhanced chinchompa that has dramatically increased destructive power (and cuteness)? Train the skill by disassembling your unwanted items and experimenting with their constituent materials at an Invention workbench. This is the core of Invention - discovering an ever-increasing number of special perks, adding them to your items and creating new ways to quest, skill and fight through Gielinor. As you use your augmented gear, it’ll accrue its own XP, levelling in its own right. You’ll find this to be beneficial as you make more discoveries and train Invention further. As you level up the skill, you’ll be able to branch out into specialisations, determining which type of tech you learn first. Will you prioritise Dwarven inventions, or do the volatile designs of the Goblin tech branch appeal more to your sensibilities? It’s up to you! It’s also a skill that’s about looking good. Ever been jealous of that adventurer with the impressively grand leg armour? Well now you can make your own EVEN BETTER leg armour, with spinning cogs and flashing lights and some strange side-effect that you can’t quite put your finger on… New inventions will be added to the game for you to discover each month this year, as part of major updates. There’ll be several bigger batches of Invention content, too. Keep an eye on the news for further updates. But for now, we can’t wait to see what you come up with, and to see you blazing a trail up the hiscores. To the workbench! You can check out the full patch notes for the update on the forum thread.
