  1. I remember reading a list somewhere about which 5 were best to permanently block for the sake of effigy collecting, but I can't seem to find it. Also, what tasks should be skipped? 99 slayer, steel titan, cannon, etc
  2. yes you can, I did it like that a couple weeks ago.
  3. I am maxed combats (bar 95 prayer) and I personally use rapier, then crossbow (by extension, Rigour), then cls, then maul, then staff as far as how much time I spend wielding them in combat.
  4. Well I decided to give melee solo a shot, no claws because of my shoddy connection, and I got 14 kills in 30 minutes. Claws and slightly better gear could probably bump that up slightly. I was using karils and defender and rapier, no titan. Could you tell what gear you were using? EDIT: This was not in a completely full world, so it's highly possible that melee would be equivalent to mage with a touch better gear and a full world. I'll do more testing now.
  5. I don't have Torva either to test, though I am completely sure that would help. For solo melee tanking I am limited to bandos and CKS as far as defense is concerned. For duos I take karils and a defender. I would imagine that torva would make a massive difference, but I am completely unable to test that. As for the steel titan, I'll give that a shot next time I go. Unfortunately, I won't have stable internet until midday tomorrow, but I'll try and get you data ASAP.
  6. Actually, you only get the two highest spots you can cook AND fish. If you're like me and had 90 fishing before 90 cooking and expected to see Moray spots at 82 cooking you will be severely confused and disappointed.
  7. The solo rate isn't nearly as fast or as many kills per trip as having a weaker duo partner. I honestly haven't done THAT many solo trips to give you a real estimate, and I don't have a divine (which makes a massive difference I'm sure). My best solo trip was somewhere in the neighborhood of 18 kills, and the kills took quite a lot longer because nothing was attacking while I healed, which caused me to have to heal more because the minions were still on me. If you're doing K'ril over Graardor, it's because you want the most kills per hour, not necessarily large profit margins. That is why I highly suggest using a duo partner of a lower level and gear tier.
  8. In comparison to Graar his defense is quite low. Rapier hits far more accurate on him than any other chaotic on any other GWD boss, especially on a slayer task with overloads and turmoil. To Powerfrog - For duoing I prefer karils and dragon defender with protect from melee, whereas solo I prefer tank melee praying mage.
  9. Only the meleer is a greater. The ranger is a lesser, the mage is a black demon. I just have my partner get his tortoise/elemental titan to attack the meleer to pull aggro, we proceed to pile the ranger, then I take the mage and he takes the meleer. I never get a greater kill except from K'ril.
  10. Correct, 100% noted bones, never noted hide. The only other noted drops are things that come noted normally (IE: talismans from Prime) I don't know why they worded it the way they did instead of saying "noted bones", it's just confusing.
  11. Zammy seems to have far lower defense in my experience, and the odds of getting crashed/annoyed/etc at zammy is quite a lot lower. People don't barge in with max str and claws and spec restores just for the sake of leeching. I suppose it would work fine at Graardor too if you can get past that.
  12. According to the "close enough for who it's for" effigy drop rate calculator on the wiki and elsewhere, K'ril should drop an effigy every ~37 kills. K'ril also counts as a greater demon, so I figured I'd give him a shot for effigy collecting by getting greaters as a slayer task. I took a level 125ish (On purpose, I wanted to make sure I got 90% of the drops) to zammy GWD and we got 40 K'ril kills in an hour and 10 minutes, and he only recieved one boss drop, leaving 39 kills for myself at a chance at an effigy. Of course the agreement was that I split the drops with him after the trip was over. Point being: If you want effigies, take a relatively low level with you and duo Zamorak on a populated world for ~1 effigy per hour assuming you have nearly maxed gear. Using a partner allows you to split up the damage from the minions and hold spare supplies. If the partner is using a combat familiar they can also use it to pull the minions post-kill. Good plan? Bad plan?
  13. I can tell you from personal experience that the boots don't do much of anything on regular dagannoths, but at the Dagannoth Kings they seem to give around a 5% damage boost (accuracy too? no idea) and drop noted bones, not hides.
  14. I did use a ring of wealth, but I know that the first staff took at least 900 kills (that was when my RSS feed started kicking them off the bottom and I stopped keeping track.)
  15. I haven't a clue about the talon beast charms, but Glacors are absolutely amazing for charms. In the process of getting two armadyl staves, I have obtained nearly 3000 of both blue and crimson charms from them. Edit ^Agreed with the ~1.4-1.5 blues and crimsons per glacor. I can kill them in ~1 minute 20 seconds each using ahrims and void (two different setups, same kill time) Edit 2: since you mentioned effigies - 12 effigies from the first staff, 9 effigies from the second staff. Assuming 1/10 rate for shards, that is 21 effigies in 2000 kills. I wish I had more accurate killcounts but even the RSS feed for my adventurer's log didn't keep that many tracked.
