  1. Perhaps my title is poorly worded, but allow me to explain. I have played RuneScape on and off for a number of years, though the last time I played for more than a day at a time was a solid year ago, and for more than a month at a time a year or two before that. In this time, the game seems to have gone from a community of people questing and mini-gaming, with tip.it, for example, holding events (indeed, I was a member of the event team for a while, on a different TIF account, Andufusthebronze) to being dwarfed by a large skill-maxing/quest-finishing/monster-killing contingent. It seems that the 'casual' players have died out in favour of those who are more 'serious' about the game - just as an example, TET has become the Tip.It Monster Hunting team. I find this very interesting because I strongly believe myself to be a casual player: I have a singular level 99 that I gained over, what I can only assume, was literally around the 90-days played time mark. May I ask why people think this is? Or, am I wrong? Are the casual players equally distributed, I just can't find them? When did the game go from free-roaming to objective-based?
  2. For f2p and members, what is... 1) The most profitable way to train fishing? 2) The fastest way to train fishing? 3) The best balance between speed and money-making? I'm level 95 and used to train on Monkfish, before I left, but now I've come back I'm not sure if there are newer/better ways to train. Thanks!
  3. Sounds awesome xD
  4. Define semi-rare. Hard to find or rarely used? Because, for example, Lapras is a good example of a hard to find but is commonly used because Ash used one for so long, whereas Hypno is easy to find but not used very often.
  5. Fair enough I suppose! I always considered starting new characters when I came back but I didn't really see the point in losing all the progress I'd aleady made, so. :P Thanks :D
  6. Ok so I actually logged in and literally everything seems different - the UI, the graphics, to some extent the controls... Would it be easier for me to repeat the tutorial on a throwaway account to get back to grips with the how the hell you play this game?
  7. Ah, cheers. Sorry, didn't know that rule!
  8. Hey guys, I don't know if any of you will remember me at all - I used to frequent tip.it on an account called Andufusthebronze, but had to leave very suddenly due to personal issues and now can't access that account. I was a member of TET and I used off-topic more often than I used any other forum. Anyway, whether you remember me or not, I have a favour to ask. I'm in a public vote competition on Facebook to win a £10,000 bursary to 'make my mark on the world'. I want to use the money to help poorer/underprivileged schools with their basic literacy programs to raise the literacy rate in Britain. Unfortunately, I'm falling behind - this is why I've rejoined the forums: I've asked almost everyone I know to pitch in, and have over 520 votes, but it's not enough - I still need more. That's why I'm here - to ask TIF to vote for me as much as they can. To vote, click https://www.facebook...311018158993637 Then use the A-Z tab and press the 'O' to find my video, 'Opening the World of Books'. From there, you can either vote on the thumbnail of the video or use the red button just underneath the actual video itself. Voting ends at noon GMT on Friday - please spread the word as much as you can to help me with this. If any of you do actually recognize my username, please send me a private message - I'd love to get back in touch with you all :)
  9. Chocslice, hi! Why the new account? :) Thanks man :) Wow, your stats are looking mighty high. How long have you been playing for now, then? Hey Wouter! We keep running into each other by coming back at the same time - though you always seem to stick around longer. I'll send you a message in a sec :)
  10. I left RuneScape properly a few years ago (2-3, maybe). I've come back to it for maybe a week in that time, playing for a day or two at each interval. Each time I came back, there seemed to be a startling amount of change - new dungeons, quests, differing amounts of players... Now, I'm not neccesarily considering coming back, but I was just wondering what the major changes have been? Questions like... What GOOD new things have they put in? What BAD new things have they put in? What have they taken out? What is the player-count like now? Thanks, Andufus
  11. I started playing because a couple of real-life friends from school were. I kept playing after they left because I really enjoyed questing and had made quite a few good friends here, particularly in the TET team. I quit because eventually the entire game felt like one long grind with little reward, especially as more and more of my friends left.

  13. She's terrible. She can pick up and throw Tibbers, though. That's worth the IP cost in itself, just for the reaction of the enemy Annie.
