its 1 time for iron. and if it doesnt make much difference or gives much advantage, what is the use of it then? mining is very gd as it is. i wouldn't like to see everything dropping all of a sudden. ARgh. imagine how many more ppl getting 85 mining. =) consider the economy. jagex has been trying hard to stabilize it. would it introduce something that would render its past work useless? but anyway, all new items introduced in the past always seem to cause one or two days of trouble in the market. and if you think about it. i wouldn't want a lvl 80 miner to use a bronze pickaxe to mine rune ore. number one, he wont get any ores out of it. number two, he doesnt have to waste inventory space and yet he gets exp. ppl could do it for hours and get exp for every hit. WOW

an alternative to showing your stats would be to use freeweb's signature. just put inside the image tag. http://sig.runeweb.net/sig/1/urusername.png remove *urusername* with your username. haha. =) ur mining is high so keep with it. u get a screenshot by pressing the button beside F12. and above INSERT. its called PRINT SCREEN it will take a picture of ur computer screen. just paste it by pressing Ctrl + V on powerpoint or microsoft word or anything else that can paste a picture and crop it to ur wanted image. thats it.

=) u will never be a n00b unless you call urself one. trust me. theres nothing much to do in f2p runescape. juz get urself a nice set of full rune and scimmy tts all. unless u wanna train magic or range. then i think you should become a member or it would be very hard to become a high lvl mage or ranger. ... i spent 2 yrs earning so much until i realized that having more than 10 mill is quite useless in f2p. but if u insist, merchanting is the way. that is if you have quite alot of cash to start with and you are willing to lose a little before you start earning. the 2nd fastest way is either fishing, mining or woodcutting. like wad bloodangel said, its all up to your skill. get ur highest skill out of the three and train it to: 1) fishing 40. tts obviously for lobs fishing. sell for 250 ea if u can find the right buyer. if not, 200 ea. i would advise you to fly fish longer to a higher lvl cauz you would really get quite fed up with the time u take to catch lobsters. 2) mining mine iron. one hit for one ore. sell for 100 ea. until you are quite a pro, do not try coal cauz its slower. imagine. u could mine 4 iron during the time taken to mine one coal. and coals sell for 150 ea. i dunno the prices much. i take it according to prices 2 mths ago. 3) woodcutting willows 40 ea to members. cut at draynor. don't even bother to try yew logs. its torturing. yews sell for 200 - 250 ea. that would mean about 6 willows would be the price of one yew log. but the time difference is very very SIGNIFICANT. so only touch yews when you are lvl 75 wc. 90 wc would be the best if you have the patience. if im not wrong, wc speed boosts are once every 15 lvls. i havent confirmed that yet. but my friends agree with me though. 3rd way would be pking ... go whack those rune ore miners. i dont do that but my friends do. its evil ... but if you get those loot, u r rich ... depends on ur combat stats though. and of course, their combat stats

haha. theres no recognition at all for even completing ALL the quests in both non member and member. obviously there wont be. imagine, if you finish all the quests this month. u get a reward. then next month, theres 2 more quests. do you lose the reward? or do you get another reward when you finish those 2 quests? =) too confusing that jagex doesnt bother to do anything. i finished all of the f2p quests 2 yrs ago and didnt get ANYTHING. but at 32 quest pts ( or isit 31? ) i get to go champs guild. but champs guild is quite useless so it was nothing much

striker's right. stuff that i ever merchanted with are: - willow logs ( go nonmemb draynor and buy for 30. go memb camelot sell for 40 ) - cowhides ( this is hard. u need constant buyers. buy for 100 sell for 140 ) - coal ( easier but you need to find the right ppl. buy for 150 and sell for 200 ) - feathers ( you can buy for as low as 3gp and sell to memb high lvl fishers for 10 ea. they luv fly fishing ) - glory ammies ( im not sure abt their prices now cauz i havent played for 2 mths. i bought them for 75k and sold them for 80k. buy in big nos. ) - abby whips ( i bought them from my friends who had 85 slayers for cheap prices and sold in world 2 fally. u hav to hav loads of cash to do this. i bought at least 3 in one go from my friend ) - runes. any of them can do. even cosmic. just need to know the lowest and highest prices. the update for mage arena increased the popularity of some runes that were deemed useless like cosmics. - rares. provided u hav loads of money, don't do this. you can lose alot of money. find out the time zones when the prices r low and when they r high. if u play much, you can actually discover that some times, the prices r 3 mill cheaper. buy them and sell them later on in the day for higher prices. - lobs ( i bought them for 200 and sold for 250. juz find a high lvl fisher who will sell to you regularly. u could meet with him once a wk to buy all his lobs and sell them within the week. im not sure whether lobs r still hot though ) Don't merchant these items: - rune items ( you wont profit much. many ppl r familiar with the prices ) - treasure trail items especially trimmed armor ( prices fluctuate ) - gold bars ( i don't know much about these but i lost alot of my cash ) - rune ess ( miners noe the prices ) - potions ( unless you are really an expert merchanter which i am not ) there are loads more. but start from the basic. when you have quite some cash, experiment around. you could even be better than me. but have loads of patience. i lost loads of cash and at times, you may seem to lose alot and not earn profit. persevere. haha. its been 2 mths since i played. when you have enough, just buy some rares ( wearable ones preferably ). i logged back in today to find that my mask set rose by at least 5 mill in price.

white knights? juz bring some food and you can train for a few hours there without needing to make a trip back. but the drops aren't that good. or you can try going to those lvl 21 guards at varrock castle. u can kill them in 2-3 hits. but nothing much. that's good however. you don't have to waste inventory space. just keep getting the bones and bury them. and their respawning speeds are fast. if you are a member, there shouldn't be any ppl competing with you for guards.

u could buy the flowers? im not sure if the seeds r tradeable but i think they are.

make tiaras provided u hav loads of cowhides.

After two or more months of quitting runescape, im back. to think i suffered withdrawal symptoms for nothing. 1) sleepless nights 2) spacing out endlessly for more than 10 minutes 3) coughing nervously when doing nothing many more. anyways, my marks considerably went up and after i recovered totally from runescape, i went on to play maplestory, conquer online and a few textbased games. but it was sure hard to get back into society. then for a period i stopped playing altogether. and from an outsider's point of view, i saw rpg games in a new perspective. its like, why do u train till so high a lvl? what's the entire point. what would u do when you have reached the maximum? i recalled my runescaping days and realized that runescape was one of the rpgs that were considerably different from the rest. the addictive factor was the fun and the friendly game community. for other games, it was just the leveling factor that was hooking you up. anyway, i saw my friend playing runescape and i suddenly felt the pang and urge to login to my acc. and there ... once i logined, the next day, i logged on again. and the third and fourth time, i was back hooked. but this time, im more matured. i think im kinda more friendly to newbies and i don't really have that much ambitions ( party hats, lvling to 120+, being super rich, high non-combat lvls ). all i want is just fun, thats all. i wont be really playing much like in the past but browsing the tip it foruums are as interesting as playing runescape. i dun tink rs will die out. the population is still growing as im typing. =) btw, any of you guys can inform me of the latest mask set prices? thanks.

i agree. rs is only boring for f2ps. for p2ps, theres always somethg to do every mth. however, the prob is u get addicted too easily in p2p. and then when you have finally finished most of the p2p quests, you eventually will start to aim for something. but that something requires loads of repetitive actions and you get bored. in f2p, you get bored faster. i mean, after finishing the quests, you can probably memorize and draw out ur own map of runescape. and you lvled most of your skills up and reach the point where it is hard to go higher if you dont have that patience and the money to upkeep your expenses. for me, i quitted because my friends all left runescape. real life friends. and so, i had played because of competition. they grow strong, i must become stronger. yet, when they left, i had no reason to continue. and at my lvl, ppl dun really wan 2 become friends with me anymore. most just feel like becoming friends because they are after my cash? it is boring.

yea. i don't have fun anymore. i get bored faster and logoff faster. its quite obvious since I train much more and do repeated stuff alot, like burning logs, woodcutting, fishing. >.< i dunno, but as a f2p, there's sure nothing much i can look forward to. theres no point for me to earn any more money cept to boast but i got me a mask set? i'm like 2+ years old in runescape and i don't think i will be staying around in there any longer. its been a month since i played and weeks since i visited this forum. basically, i agree with what you guys say. im only 15 but i feel very much older in runescape. The n00b stage was sure fun. It was like, breathtaking? every moment of runescape was exhilarating where you learn new stuff, gain experience, learn more new areas and maps. then i came to the intermediate state where i became member and started earning stuff. thats when i got scammed like 80+ mill cauz i was stupid in merchanting. yea, member quests were fun but i did not really had an organized schedule and plan made out so i lost mainly to my friends in the fight for total lvls and exp. then i reached the old boy stage where i mainly logon to train. all my friends left runescape for other games. i stayed behind for no apparent reason. now i just do basically nothing in runescape except to stone around. serious, its boring.

nice stuff. yea. the gods are a race, not from our world? thats wad the mini-quest Ghostly robes told us. So this more powerful god could be from another race? perhaps one that is almost extinct, leave, lets say, him. and zaros is evil. i dun think he's dead, juz banished. but it is quite impossible for jagex to bring back zaros all everything in rs is gonna be unbalanced. cauz guthix is the god of balance, if zaros comes back, 2 evil and 1 good. So somehow, either theres one more good god or that extra evil god must be kicked out. and i dun think the fate of rs is gonna be laid on our shoulders through a quest. no way man. maybe, when runescape shuts down in the future, the ending of the game would be zaros comin back in a fury, wipin out everythg in his path? then everybody trys to log in, and can't.

you can't get them yet. anyway. i tink they will juz be some yummy chocolate eggs that does nothing but for us to eat. but maybe we all can hatch a little pet? cauz they r supposed to be magical right? well. but most likely, they will disappear when the whole thing's over, leave for the emote.
