I do wonder. As far as I know you do not get any smithing experience. You will get magic experience! you get smithing xp + magic xp. you need the required smithing level to superheat the metal.

erh, if your password changes, its most probably cos someone changed it. scan your comp and make sure there's no keyloggers there. report tis to jagex too..maybe its some weird bug.

i recommend that you change your recovery questions and write them down somewhere.. save them in your phone or pda or somewhere unrelated to the computer you use to play runescape. and please do not name it as runescape password or something like that. and try to look at the details of your last login every time you start playing. if its different than what you normally see, send it to jagex or something.

i think the best way to level firemaking is to burn the highest level log that you can... if you can afford it.

If you're doing that quest you need mith+. Use the bestiary to find what monsters drop. Just buy from anouther player and if you have the smithing you can make a mithril 2h spear. i've checked a few guides and its stated that only an iron or better spear is needed..

where do you get spears from? particularly those above iron. i need them for tai bwo wannai quest, so making them from barbarian training is out.

yup.. i think its only 10cooking xp per fish. but then you wont get any cooking xp from shilo if you sell the fish.

i guess doing tasks that give more xp will raise your approval faster.. like when cutting maples, teak or mahogany.. mahogany raises it faster.

wear melee armour and protect mage. should be ok as long as your prayer can last the fight.

it seems that you get the most from 100%maples and 50%coal now.

you can also plant redberry bushes.. if you're a member.

if you've the money, put in enough for a week.. you get better rewards.
