No one listens to death metal for the lyrics or vocals... imo they're just there to make the song less repetitive. And if you listen to cannibal corpse and mortician of course your going to have terrible lyrics. Check death, berzerker, kataklysm heaps i cant remember right now, they have great lyrics. I'm pretty sure the gore thing is just when they dont care at all. I can understand a bit of the lyrics on a few bands. Btw best death metal singer imo: Bloodbath's singers.
