Well the admin have shown themselves to ignore legitimate complaints, but instantly, and overzealously, destroy things that can used for fun...Ergo fastest way to get rid the things we don't like is to use them productively...

Where is the unlike button =p

Damn you evolution/internet, I don't want to feel elated when people like my posts -.- On a related note: Smilies are now harder to place, as are pictures....Does anyone know how to turn the drag and drop display off? The other thing I wanted to rail about was that despite them adding a bunch of new features, the smilely menu is still slow to load, and overal none of the problems have really been fixed (save for the security problems which affect almost nobody). Though now I am questioning whether I am genuinely angry, or whether I am just looking for more likes... Oh, I also agree with Nex.

Almost posted a 'Yet another stream up updates that screw things up' a few days ago, though decided that most people would have read it, also I am trying not to be a ultra-luddite...Sufficing to say it failed. I would probably say it has more to do with the growing tide towards centralisation of the Internet to combat the freedom of individuals, because it turns out that some individuals don't work for the betterment of all humanity, and therefore freedom should be quashed to protect freedom. Its actually rather entertaining really... Overall I am not too offended by the update. It has added an auto-save function to the posts (how effective it will be remains to be seen). I am not overly enthusastic about the like function, since it reduces conversation to a stream of 'like's...Really it would be nice if certain forums could opt-out of certain updates, but I guess it is far too much work. Anyway, need to go through the list of functions and fiddle with them. PS: Its good to see the continuing oppression of post counts continues into the like system. You get the feeling that Tip It is staffed by tired beaucrats who have made it their life's work to stamp out forum shenanigan...That or pathetic princes who resent any mark that might make a person seem on parallel to them.

Apparently a masocist as well... Anywho, due to several domestic issues I am now going to the Island of Wight for the weekend...And unless it rejoins the modern era that will mean no internet. <_< Toodle Pip.

Civ V Gods and Kings isn't doing so badly at the moment...There are a few annoyances, true, but at the moment it is managable. Also LA Noire is a suprisingly fun game.

http://forum.tip.it/topic/312759-forum-upgrade/page__view__findpost__p__5276386 The session will still be running. If IRC is down then please go to: http://scripts.aberddu.co.uk/chat.php I can't get the silly web client to work though, so please use a client, and join irc.avatastic.co.uk server. Obviously don't leave it to the last minute because the forums will be down and if IRC is down then its not like I can easily help you through the proccess. Once you are in just type /join #inn and it will be fine. For further information about the chat we are using: http://www.aber-warps.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl

I like how, in the future, America will have a British sense of humour :-P

I wish I had arrived in time to make a chronologically relevant post relating to a baked ham. Just enough time to oil up the rams before the Ham was cooked? Slavery was going before the map was made, the document which accompanies the map (The Papal Award of 1493) deals with the Portugese/Spain division of the New World, which Spain had been plastering with Slaves for several decades, while the Portuguese just set up trading posts with no real settlement, with the exception of Goa, which they made their Capital for a brief interlude. Although a Liberal WASP will argue that the Pope secretly had an army of slaves which carried around a solid gold throne which he used to crush liberty while shooting heresy and mind control out of his eyes, until he was blinded by the combined power of the DoI, BoR and Emancipation Declaration, while the Liberal Catholic (is an oxymoron) will argue that Slavery didn't exist, and if it did then the Pope went around on his solid gold throne using an American Automobile and there was definately no slaves. In reality slavery has always existed, and always will...Especially in America, where 1% of the population is held in slavery. More generally slavery exists because the world wouldn't work in the way it does without it. Tis rather amusing that America's answer to poor Race Relations is to bring back slavery. Then again I live in Britain, with the whole 'Abolished Slavery first' and 'Don't exploit the natives because it will come back and bite you in the backside'. Also I never liked MLK and was an advocate of the Atlanta Compromise, rather than magic wands.

[hide][/hide] It is rather amazing that maps of the 13-14th century should have so accurately mapped Africa, while completely failing at the Baltic...Even Kattegat/Skagerrak is done terribly. Its understandable that the dimensions of Crimea might be off, or the Thames Estury be merged with The Wash/North Sea...But really, they couldn't find a map from the most well mapped (Owing to trade) area of the period! Ok, its a map of the 'new' world and such, but <_<

Well, there is drooling and crying...Other than that there isn't anything that can't really be hidden. If there was a problem with the ears then thats more serious than embaressing. To be honest, a large part of it is that you don't expect your nose to betray you =P

Thats why you use a rifle, and/or a very high powered pistol. I entirely agree here, they are the most GOD AWFUL creatures. That said...You get very smug when you headshot a group of them. (You also get quite smug when you kill a group on the first attempt.) http://forum.tip.it/index.php?showtopic=307927&view=findpost&p=5196296 On an unrelated note, my nose is leaking...there are very few things more embaressing than not being able to control your nose.

Primarily: Grenades are your last line of defence/first line of offence. They are designed to clear up messes (Typically corners that you can't get out of because the game decided to boost armour at the wrong moment, or headshots don't work...or because of glass cannons) or start new ones (creating enough of a distraction to make things interesting or killing enough glass cannons to be achievable, or damaging their HP enough that a headshot will kill them). Launching a nuke is about killing everything at the earliest possible convienance, in the laziest way possible. Which is what a sissy would do. Alternatively about shooting the broadside of an elephant and having it die, it requires no skill at all. Sniper Rifle with high stopping power and accuracy...Can't say I would use it  Machine guns are for idiots who spray and pray. It requires almost no skill to use them, and denies you any ability to test your combat prowess by offering an easy get out. 'Surrounded by 20 Soliders, I will just pull out my machine gun and mow them down' as compared to my '20 headshots with a pistol. I can do this.' Cause really, if I wanted to kill things with the minimum degree of fuss, I would mow the lawn.

I played the entire Fallout series with 2 guns (Usually 1 each for the 'screw me overs' er, fellow travlers)...I think I also had a melee weapon. (Not including 'Hey, this looks fun' stuff) Typically one was a rifle and one was a pistol. The Rifle occassionally replaced with Rocket in the earlier Fallouts where your own skill counts for nothing so its all about hitting the enemy hard. Area of effect...Grenades? Automatic weapons are for sissies, as are 'Insane Damage Weapons'. Bleeding hit the target and stop being churlish. Then again I am a crack shot, so accuracy and sheer stopping power are the only requirements I have. In games with a decent Stealth system, Stealth trumps both of those, but mostly pinpoint targetting will kill so accuracy comes top of the list, with Sheer Stopping Power only being reluctantly given mention due to enemies spontanously getting stronger through the game. On the other hand, in ME3 multiplayer I rely on the Energy Drain/Rapid Fire Sniper Rifle...Primarily because slow time doesn't exist, and I can hit 9 out of 10 heads without it...But the reload speed is ridiculous, so use a low stopping power, multi-fire, accurate, sniper rifle. With Energy Drain for Phantoms and co. So reload speed features only as a 'If the game is penalises people with superiour visual acuity with god awful firing speed' So yeah...In terms of RoF, beyond 1 per second, I couldn't care less.

Nex, your sig-comic makes a varying degree of sense...travelling from incoherant ramblings to rather amusing scenes. Also Steam. Also, why would you need more than 2 guns...One is frequently enough, but games get a little odd so 2 is optimal. Also, update on my throat, it has now limited its pain to my left ear and left tonsil...
