Minimum of two players, perferably four. I only want one of each class, so please choose a type that is not already claimed.

 

You start at 400 xp.

 

The Campaign shouldn't include any demons or warp entities, for reference. You will mostly be investigating, fighting other humans, and the normal Dark Heresy stuff (trying to make money because your stipend is insufficent, riding on public transport while watching people getting mugged, etc).

 

You have been given your orders, via datanet, by your mysterious (And unmet) Inquistor Liege, and were directed to the starship The Sounding Joy as it collected you from your various planets of origin on a multi-month trading route. Your briefing includes very little useful information, other than your planet of destination: Quaddis

 

You also start with twice your monthly stipend.

If you want to trade starting equipment for money then make an Inquiry check. If you succeed then you can sell it for 60%, plus 5% per degree of success, if you fail then you cannot attempt to sell it again.

Well, Retech intends to join, so here's hoping he has a character soon.

 

And maybe there will be some sort of miracle and Ross or Grim or Stork or Alg or someone will come so we have more than two players.

 

If we have a player deficit, I could always try to find interested folks offsite... I promise I'll be careful this time.

Play a Generic character, we can kill them off or put them on a bus when you finish your regular one. Or, you could not obsess about it, and just keep playing that guy.

Well, I knew that the session was not today, so I am not near anywhere done.

 

Just thought of a few ideas, and read up on the mechanics of using automatic and semiautomatic weapons, since they weren't available in Crossroads.

You haven't even spent a single throne, much less any exp. Of course I can make it better. :D

 

Sounds like you want an action menu sort of thing? Attack, Defend, Flee, Ultima, et cetera. The Tech Priest has a few neat simple-activation abilities, though a few of them you'll want to be careful with, as they generate Fatigue (when it reaches a certain number, you're KO'd). You won't want Toughness as a dump stat, tank or no. A high Will would also do you good.

 

For some reason most Tech Priest characters I hear about end up with blunt instruments lodged in their skulls, so you might do well with some... 'Discouraging' ordnance on hand. In my mind, that means Solid Projectile weapons rather than the traditional Las guns, but since there's little mechanical difference I'll try to keep practicality in mind. Knowing you, you'll want Intimidate as soon as it becomes available to TPs, though I'm not sure when that is, so it may be impractical... Feedback Screech is one little dealie that might serve to compensate, without necessarily needing any skill roll.

 

I'll start getting stuff together tomorrow. One last thing you want to think about is character identity; Tech Priests are generally portrayed as little more than robots, and I doubt you could do the emotionless thing. Maybe something's wrong with your implants, or they never had the chance to work much on your cranial circuitry, or you're just consummately irrepressible. However you choose to play it, keep in mind that people will expect a sort of cold logic from you, so don't be surprised if they end up being surprised.

Question: Starting equipment wise, are we limited to just the core rulebook, or can we branch out for more character appropriate weapons from other DH books (with GM approval of course).
