I will send you a PM with the 'approved' rulebooks. But, for the most part, if you can link me to the page reference I will probably allow it.

Deleted my responce...darn internet. (There was an analysis of the theory, if this conversation goes anywhere I may retype it, though given the 'ending' comes out on Tuesday I see little point) Alg: My prediction is that they have added ending coloured sparkles. (Can't be that stupid? I point your attention at their last attempt) Earth: Indoctrination theory works in most senses, but requires the player to sit down and make a vast number of logical leaps and sort of demands you go in with the preconception that 'It has to make sense, those people are experts.' However it is all rather hollow, rushed, etc. As a GM I can understand them not wanting to go 'Ah, but you are indoctrinated, no choices!' but really they needed to do what STALKER did and have a cul-der-sac ending (which is what they have), but also a get out clause, which you could do (preferably by killing swordman on Asari Homeworld, or some last minute, urgent, mission to recover the McGuffin which offers a chance for Sheperd to be Indoctrinated...Or several chances and the level of Indoctrination defines which of the two sets of endings you get), and that gives access to an alternative ending, the real ending...or a set of real endings, depending on how you played the game. As it stands they failed to really hit any of the objectives for a memorable ending.

Do you mean Nex? Elsewise I have no idea what you mean.

Oh, Nef isn't playing. And please, always room.

Channel is up. We will not be starting early, I don't want to get sidetracked again

Most of them... Its a requirement of several of the courses, not to mention not knowing how computers, mechanically, work makes designing software far more tricky (Within reason, it is fairly easy to code and what not without knowledge of how computers work...gets harder when you are coding to use the hardware). Furthermore I don't know of any (Actually one) of them who would not be insulted to be told they were not a hardcore gamer. Like I said before, its probably a case of different circles, and given that we have successfully proved no one knows what you were talking about, in the Tavern, the matter is effectively closed. Don't use terms that only someone deeply stooped in the subject would understand...at least not without explaination. In other news very nearly decapitated myself on a coffee table, so have taken to not wearing socks (Polished floors, huzzah) and now my feet are cold.
-
And other platitudes. In other news, Potatos can be put in the oven for 6 hours, at 250 degrees C, and it is still edible. Its pretty impressive.

This is extremely helpful if you can spare 2 sheets of paper (or 1 if Duplex) http://zorconsword.blogspot.co.uk/2011/04/dark-heresy-character-sheet-v3.html

I am reasonably impressed. Turns out that out of the dozen or so people I contacted* after you said something I wasn't sure on (midi) only one person gave any indication of something similar to what you said. (Person who sells computers, suprise, suprise) Now, rather than a...person...of 18 years, these people hold varying degrees in education as well as being professionals who work in the gaming industry (Only one directly works at a gaming company, though others work in the computer industry generally). (The wonders of going to University) I don't really want to bother them again, though I can't imagine any of them would say "Yeah, you know what makes a gaming computer? Size. It has to be really really small." Its just as nonsensical as anything else you ever say when your argument collapses around you...cobbled together like a blind shoemaker. Now I make no claim to know where you get your information, it is entirely possible that 'Midi' is more well used in your circles than in my circles, for reasons of country, language and other stuff. However the broad consensus, that I can find, is that 'Midi' is a term that people use when they have an inadequate understanding of computers, to describe whatever computer they have, in order to make it sound like they have a cutting edge computer... *Rather than shout 'I AM A HARDCORE GAMER' because I spend a lot of time playing games, I freely admit I am a Jack of All Traits, who looks at a game, solves the game, and then moves on. I am reasonably happy to play a game on medium or low graphics and tolerate it, rather than being able to see all the individual stitches on the armour of a guy two miles away, standing in a sea of other nameless soliders that I kill several seconds later. Like Physics, Chemistry, and the like, I don't rely on my own interpretation, but ask a multitude of people who have a greater intellect than I, nominally who have proven themselves useful and self-cogent. ...I don't claim to have an encyclopedic knowledge of all subjects, but I know someone(or several) who has an encyclopedic knowledge of one subject, and so I ask them, they tell me, I do a little research to make sure it actually makes sense, and then I respond. PS. Congrats Earth.

So rather than 'Desktop' or 'Tower', two things that if you put them into a search engine would return useful results, you decided to choose Midi, or salesman jargon for Mini-Mid Ranged cases to go around a desktop PC... Seriously, do a search before you actually repeat the stuff you heard in the store...In those scenarios there is supposedly an expert on hand to explain it, here there is not.

'Hey, Earth, get into a fight with someone who controls your housing, food, electric, water and general other utilities. Make your argument on the premise of ownership and/or the indestructiblity of your device, safe in the knowledge that she would never think of dropping the device into water/boiling oil, or just simply selling it. For less drastic action she would never think of tearing/cutting the power cable, or confiscating it, not now that you have said 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ITS MINESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' 'Oh, but what you do then is threaten, or actually, phone the police. This obviously has no comeback on you, whatsoever. Further, when she is forced to buy you a new computer, and/or pay the legal fees you both incurred, that money will, in no way, come out of your food allowance. Naturally she will simply roll over in the face of the law, and every time you say 'But the law says you can't punish me' she will bend her knee and serve you piles of gold plated hot dogs, while staving herself. 'Of course she isn't really starving herself, because actually she has a bottomless barrel of money hidden somewhere in the house, it is only because she is incredibly meanspirited that she doesn't use that money to get you a computer. She has deserted her subserviant role as woman/mother and now you must use the law to restore her to her rightful place, or else madess shall surely follow.' I am always amazed at how blindly incapable people are at recognising that reality differs from a) your own perception b) from the legal interpretation of things. The most reasonable course of action would be to accept the punishment, strive not to repeat the action that lead to it - at least until you can safely (in the real world) do so without fear of punishment - and work towards extricating yourself from the clearly dependant position you are in... As opposed to underhandedly attempting to avoid punishment whilst indulging in that behaviour, or making a declaration of war. I am also not entirely sure how buying a keyboard/musical instrument would specifically help....Unless Midi means something other than Musical Instrument Digital Interface...

Last time he did that she snapped the laptop in half. (No, really) If you ever played Singularity then I imagine it going down something like when Devlin is shot by Demichev. Search: Let's Play Singularity (Part 6/33) On youtube and skip to 06:38. The actual dialogue is clean, but the commentary is not, so yeah... And finished Thaumcraft, though I wanted to one up my previous track record of blowing up my house (mostly because I avoided building a house) so blew up the world, and character....Huzzah.

Or a fleet of carrier pigeons.

On an unrelated subject...after deleating the region files, setting up near a nice Japanese Village, and spending a few hours setting up my new house...critical failure and it deletes the region files...Thankfully the Alchemy bag I carry around is not effected.

Handy. I am assuming the incredibly stupid thing is also somewhat embaressing and it not just 'Lolz, ask me what I did' Facebookery.

'Finished' Buildcraft. Having finished Build and Industrial Craft there are two common themes: 1) When you start there a tonne of stuff to do, made more complicated because you don't know what you are doing. 2) When you are finished you end up blowing up your house by accident. It is fairly annoying when your house just goes 'Boom'. The first time was understandable (Leave a Nuclear Reactor unattended for several hours and it is bound to happen) the second time... Get attacked, inside a well lit, well fortified, house/cave/factory, by a giant that smashes blocks as it moves. Fight it off reasonably easily because you are near the endgame. Several minutes later your house explodes were wire A was cut. So fairly annoying... The same house had suffered manic lightening storms (and storms generally) throughout the game for some ungodly reason, as well as you testing several explosives which turned out to have a higher yield than you expected, several other incursions by barely explained monsters and so on... I think what I will probably do is collect up some stuff and then delete the region files...Start again, but with endgame tech, while I work out how to finish Thaumcraft.

Earth, funny story, Technic has Thaumcraft included (Though not as multiplayer). And I have recently build a house onto a cave, and renovated several parts of it. Unfortunately most of the cave is now gone thanks to Mine Turtles and Quarries...with their endless stream of cobblestone going into the Anti-Matter Relay to make the EMC to be fed into the Alchemy Tablet, to make the Diamonds to build more Quarries, and the Charcoal to power them. Life is good.

More that they just say all the villians are Vampires with a huge conspiracy that is poorly explained. So yeah...its like playing the huge number of Gears of War clones...And about as interactive. And MSN is forcing me to update

Well, Abraham Lincon, Vampire Hunter... Everyone except the Lincon family and the Slaves are vampires, but only the Southerners are evil. After having his mother killed by a vampire, his first wife murdered by a vampire, the his second wife is murdered by the vampire, then his friend, then he is killed by a vampire too, only to be brought back to life as a vampire, by his friend, who is a vampire. Stories were EVERYTHING is related to the plot are so mind numblingly tedious...A subplot is not 'Oh I am going out with this girl' *Next scene* 'Mr Lincon, your girl has been killed by a vampire'. At anyrate, don't watch it or read the book. Also the 'Believe' advert by Bieber is tiresome the first time and doesn't get better.

For reference, starting two hours earlier since the things I thought would get in the way, aren't. Sessions will be on Friday. About 9 pm GMT, 4 pm Eastern All subject to change, of course.

Minimum of two players, perferably four. I only want one of each class, so please choose a type that is not already claimed. You start at 400 xp. The Campaign shouldn't include any demons or warp entities, for reference. You will mostly be investigating, fighting other humans, and the normal Dark Heresy stuff (trying to make money because your stipend is insufficent, riding on public transport while watching people getting mugged, etc). You have been given your orders, via datanet, by your mysterious (And unmet) Inquistor Liege, and were directed to the starship The Sounding Joy as it collected you from your various planets of origin on a multi-month trading route. Your briefing includes very little useful information, other than your planet of destination: Quaddis You also start with twice your monthly stipend. If you want to trade starting equipment for money then make an Inquiry check. If you succeed then you can sell it for 60%, plus 5% per degree of success, if you fail then you cannot attempt to sell it again. [hide] Population: Unknown/Variable (resident population estimated to be fewer than 5 million). Tithe Grade: Colonial Exemption (planet not developed to point of tithing) Climate/Geography/Biosphere: Abundant flora, ideal life sustaining conditions, few hazardous life forms other than those introduced from off-world. Extensive tropical equatorial region, with wild, uncultivated temperate zones and saline seas covering the majority of the landmass. Ice-bound Polar Regions. The only major settlement is in the northern polar region (Xicarphcolonial centre of governance). Governmental Type: Colonial administrationCentral Authority Indefinitely Suspended Planetary Governor: None (Last Colonial Governor RegentThaddeus Haarlock circa 457-690. M41) Adept Presence: Minor Adeptus Administratum and Adeptus Ministorum presence. Note that due to its unique history, Quaddis is adjudged not to be fully part of the Imperium of Man nor subject to the full weight of its law. Military: None except private vassals of the fief owners Trade/Economy: None; Quaddis has no industry, has nothing to trade, and has no basis for any economy other than the intrinsic wealth of its masters. [/hide] Sessions will be on Friday. About 9 pm GMT, 4 pm Eastern:
