  1. To check if the problem is with you or the runescape site, next time you get connection problems switch to another brower window and try going to any of your bookmarked sites. If the other sites come straight up while the runescape connection still hangs that tends to indicate a rs problem. If the other sites take ages to load and/or come up with an "unable to connect" message its aproblem your end or with your ISP. Personally I have suffered from both, on occasion. And as one person above said, going to a full server is riskier than normal when you are somewhere really dangerous like metal drags cos you WILL get more lag then. On occasions where I seem to be having a few problems with connection I make sure I do something not too risky, and stash my good gear in the bank. Oh, and don't PK in full barrows during a thunderstorm :)
  2. According to the Jagex knowledge base, speed is identical. Knives have longer range and do slightly more damage. Also more expensive, since 1 bar makes 10 dart tips (then need 1 feather per tip) or only 5 knives.
  3. I think rune(g) is a bit Essex Boy/Girl bling. 8-) Rune(t) is not so in-yer-face. Pleasantly understated. YMMV. Heh.
  4. Is it just me, or has it become MUCH more difficult to find unoccupied ranging spots for blues and greens? I used to range blues all the time in Ogre Enlcave (need watchtower quest). Very rarely had to hop more than a couple of times to find a good spot, and quite often on a quiet server i could happily occupy the spot near the exit where u can power range 2 drags. Axe exp, ace money + level 3 clues as well. Then I took a break for a few weeks and last couple of days I went back EVERY SINGLE PLACE WAS CHOCKA. All the spots occupied, even on slow servers, and even in wildy every single spot was also chocka with people. Seemed a lot of chinese and random numeric names. What's other people's experience?
  5. Did you get mature ales more often Timmis400?
  6. Just in case anyone doesn't know, doing the quest "My arm's big adventure" will give you a fifth herb patch, one where the herbs never die. So you can grow your best stuff there and leave it a good 2 or 3 hours to make sure it's grown and have no worries.
  7. It can take longer. I've waited nearly 2 days for a batch. If you use "the stuff" from Trouble Brewing I think it may cut down brewing time, as well as impriving chance of Mature Chef's Delite.
  8. I've seen a "ghost" in edgeville bank, or rather NOT seen one, just a line of text appearing "boo! I'm a ghost". This sounds like the effect people have described with the scrying pools, but how would you achieve this in edgeville bank?? It was INSIDE THE BANK, ie not at the tele spot outside (tho you can't use scrying pools for there anyway).
  9. From memory, I think it may only be the Dense Forest that you need the pies for - so a couple may be enough - I think you only have to go through dense forest a couple of times. Check walkthrough though - my memory is not 100%.
  10. Argh! disregard my previous post, I didn't realise that Kharhyll (spelling?) = Canifis. Sorry.
  11. ??? Don't think so. You can only change focus to the places listed in the manual and Canifis is not amongst them.
  12. Got everything and full emotes, been playing for maybe 3-4 years. Was over a year before I got my first mime. Got full camo while telegrabbing Wine of Zamorak - bizarre. Got the random every other time I tele'd one day. Not happened since. Have over 30 frog tokens in bank. Rarest random for me has been freaky forester. Only just had it enough times to get the set. I range and train tradeskills a lot - maybe that has something to do with it.
  13. Gnomeballs are also one of the possible rewards in the Gnome Delivery minigame.
  14. Not quite all. They also look cool. To anyone with good eyesight or a big monitor.
  15. I think it is just 2 red spider eggs in varrock sewers (I've been known to be wrong). There are, however, SIX spawns in edge dungeon, it's only about lvl 5 wildy there. IIRC straight north from the wildy gate. Look for (surprise surprise) the red spiders. Small chance of being pkd of course so dont take more than 3 valuable items, and a bit of food if you are low enough that spiders will attack you.
  16. Actually I think it grows 1-6 branches every 5 mins
  17. Another note on Penwie - I finally found him just outside the glider area - seems he wanders around quite a large area.
  18. I know you said non-wildy, but have you considered : Run up to the hobgob mining area (lvl 32 wildy) with only rune pick, glory, and drag hide body, or poss rune. Plus maybe 3 lobs. Turn off auto-retaliate. There are SEVEN addy rocks there, and a lot of mith. You fill up on addy and mith, or change world for all addy, then glory back to edge and repeat. All you are going to lose if you get pk'd here is a bit of your time this way. I have mined hundreds of addy and mith here and so far noone even attkd me - hopefully most people realise it's not worth their time. Actually, you could canoe up their I guess, looks even faster - been a while since I mined at all so haven't tried that one yet.
  19. What Koddo said, the grove at Tae Bwo village. Also, move your house to Brimhaven. Tele from the grove to a bank when full, then back to house.
  20. As Jake said, protection flowers or scarecrow just protect, they have no effect on yield. Also, paying the farmer just protects, it has no effect on yield, however if you pay the farmer that crop will ALWAYS grow successfully - you DO NOT HAVE TO CHECK IT OR WATER IT AT ALL. Whereas protection flowers and scarecrows just decrease chance of disease, they do not eliminate it completely. Once a patch has grown, you can leave it as long as you like and it will not change. Won't die, and yield will not increase. The way to increase yield is to use compost, or for maximum effect SUPER COMPOST. So for best yield with minimum effort, 1) use supercompost before planting seeds then 2) pay the farmer. Then you can forget about it until it's grown.
  21. Bippitee

    Camo?

There are 3 in all - cap, jacket, and pants.
  22. Ranging them works ace - 2 good ranging spots at graveyard.
  23. Oh, sorry, I just realised I wasn't answering the question you actually asked. That's been answered so.... I don't know if there are safe ranging spots for baby blues.
  24. There are at least 2 ranging spots on Moss Giant Island (head west from Brimhaven ferry to find it). These are far less crowded than the mossies north of Ardy. Apart from the exp, mossies are good droppers of herb seeds - you seem to get a fair few ranarr (worth minimum 15k if u sell). Also take a fire staff with you cos they drop stuff like black shields and mith swords, also nats, so you can make a few k alcing.
