BUYING CANNON WITH 1K BALLS FOR TORGS HAMMERS!!
Nugget89 replied to The_guy12345's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
1k cannonballs alone or a cannon by itself is worth more than torag hammers. Besides, this is in the wrong forum. -
The only benefit to the wooden dagger is that the splinters would act like a f2p poison, only with less damage and shorter period of time. Someone could use it 4 times, put it in their inventory when they go to the wildy and attack someone with it. It'd break (and splinter the opponent) and then they could switch to a better weapon. Not so useless after all.

When you have to stretch an idea this much to make it work, it's usually a good indication that it won't.

Exactly. I have a pure with 50 def and only 61 ranged. All the pures with 70 ranged and 1 def will always say "Def noob, I 0wn J00!!!", but what's funny is that very shortly after they they all seem to tele for some reason... In fact, the only time I've been owned by a pure of a reasonably close level is when a level 61 with 1 def and 91 ranged attacked me. But as a general rule: def is about as important as any of the other stats. With low def and higher att and str...you might be able to hit higher, but it's not as though you can hit when you're forced to eat constantly.

RuneScape's Apocalypse Drawing Nearer?
Nugget89 replied to someone_els's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
People always seem to forget the massive amount of cash Jagex also gets from the ads on the site. RS might fade, but I doubt it'll ever be completely scrapped. -
You see...a bank pin doesn't do anything if your items are equipped or in your inventory. Most people who have a rare want to wear it. Hacker comes along, your valuables aren't in the bank, and you're screwed. That's the flaw with the bank pin.
-
Exactly. If you're going to get to 99 mage, you should actually have a spell that benefits you...not one that can't be used in the wilderness and can't even be used at all. The sheer lack of usefulness makes this spell nearly impossible to abuse.
-
Well, considering that jagex has already said that they're going to make player-owned houses, this isn't really an idea at all.
-
Man...people must not come up with ideas very often. I swear this was only on like the 3-4th page. Anyway, my bad on that. I'll check the post date next time.

"Dude, what's with the random quotation marks?" "It really doesn't seem to make any sense." "You only use these when you're directly quoting what someone else has said." "And if you do that, you usually give the name of the person who said that."

I don't know why people have a problem with drop trading. Multi-logins are banned, so how else are we supposed to transfer items to our noob accounts? Personally, I think this is a thing that Jagex...and most of runescape, care little about. They've got their hands full with massive reports on scamming and macroing. I doubt they'll come after the people who are just trying to give their noob a few deaths.

Lmao. Am I the only one who caught this? "You know, I'm having a lot of trouble with predicting how the Dow average will go..." "Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm sitting around eating Cheez-it's and watching TV and the cheese always gets on the remote. Real drag." That was the greatest comment ever. Brr, I salute you.

Yeah, if you gave it negative def bonuses, and made sure only wearing one at a time would be beneficial, (like you said, +25 no matter how many are worn) it could work. I like the idea...you'd probably have to change the stone name now that onyx is actually a gem. One thing though...how does mixing powder and a "chemical" make a gem? I mean...I know of man-made gems...but I could have sworn onyx was natural. Even if it isn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæshoving some dust into a bottle of peroxide doesn't really seem like it'd make a gem. Even if that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s what they basically do like you say̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæthere̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s gotta be a little more to it than that. I think you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d have to add some more to it to make it plausible. I think that'd have to be tweaked some, but overall I like it. And to whoever said ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åanyways, the idea is too unbalanced any mage wearing all 3 of those will be king of wildy̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

Except I wasn't talking about pking at all with the inventory. I was talking about training skills and how amazingly easy they'd become...how unfair it'd be to the people who trained long and hard with only 28 spaces, and all of a sudden people have 38 and level in a fraction of the time it took originally.
-
Dude, everything is okay the way it is. Everything is decent...everything is at least mildly acceptable. But this forum is to post suggestions. If you don't like the change, that's fine. But this forum is built on trying to find ways to improve the game. If you don't think it will, then say so. But don't say, "it's decently decent now. No need to work on it."
-
I'd like extra inventory space as much as anyone else, but there's no way you could do it without messing everything up. It'd change prices (like lpinkus said) and it'd also make the highscores irrelevant. The extra inventory space would make...every skill easier to train. It really just wouldn't be fair to their people who had to do it the old way.

Well, to be fair, it ties into gardening under your interpretation of it. That being said, I do agree with you. It'd be better if it tied into gardening...and even if it didn't, the chances of jagex releasing it into f2p are slim to none.
-
Yeah, this is a pretty bad idea all around. With the inventory check, you might avoid dying a few times, but it'd also kill you when you were trying to pk. People would instantly be able to check if you had pots, tele runes, snare runes, everything. It'd kill any and all chances of taking someone by surprising someone (ie. going in full rune, tricking a mage into attacking you, then switching to d hide). As for the stat checking...that would kill the effectiveness of pures. If some noob could automatically check your stats and see that you might only be like 30, but have 59 magic, then you'd never kill anyone. You can't just think about how you died in the wildy last week or whenever it was...you also have to think about it from the other point of view.

That, obviously, is a perfect way to bring more and more profanity into the game. Report and report again. Yes, JAGeX gets a lot of then. Yes, there's no way they read them all. However, it make a difference, I'm sure. If people can't enjoy playing Runescape without swearing, they oughta be at a nightclub instead. lpinkus Unfortunately, the mass majority of the morons swearing constantly are probably around 10 or something...nightclubs aren't really an option for them. They're younger...and cussing seems cool and adult to them. In my experience, most people 18 or older have probably done their fair share of cursing...or at least heard their fair share. A lot (obviously not all. There's always the occasional drunk who plays) are tired of it, and would rather express themselves in a better way...one that requires more intelligence and shows it. Obviously, not all people 10-13 are going around cursing like sailors...and it's equally obvious that not all 21 year olds are all clean in their speech. But that's just the kind of general trend that I've found.

I like that idea the best. It'd be better if it were a mini-quest reward, like a scavenger hunt of some sort, but I still like the concept. I'd love to dress up as a Hobgoblin and go out to the Hob Mine, just for the weirdness factor. --Darg-- Yeah, that'd be pretty beast for pking too. Just hang out in the hobgob mine...walk around inconspicuously, then boom! I'm for this idea if for no other reason than that. Yeah, I think we're all for something that you can actually wear this year. It's not like we actually carry around our yo-yo's or rubber chickens. It'd be nice to have something that actually gets used. And to whoever said they're content with their frog mask, please stop wearing that...immediately. It's pretty much written in stone: the bane of runescape are beggars, scammers, and people who chose the frog mask over the prince clothes. It's especially bad if you wear it around all the time. Jk

Maybe they should have a patience amulet/ring. -Peace in- Lmao

Plus, it doesn't seem quite fair some people to have to have their house is Pollinovich and others right in Fally. Unless they had some "teleport me to my house" option, I don't see how that'd work. They'll probably have to do it like they do with farming plots...with each house looking different to each person. Either that or restrict people to certain worlds and specific cities...that they probably couldn't choose from.
