(ie, agree mostly with cadbury's post, except I think there is blending, its just bad blending. do NOT feather the hell out of your stocks, place objects (brushing, ect) over the stock to blend)

The following only applies if it looks fine playing before you saved it: Make sure that the .GIF is allowed to use all 256 colours, and If it is already, this means that there are 256 shades of blue already in there. In the save for web//save optimized dialoge, you should be able to choose manually which colours you would like to show up in the .GIF.

dkjestrup: you are too close, your camera isnt focusing properly. your camera should come with a paper that tells you the minimum focusing distance for each focal length.

How much money do you have to spend? Nikon d40, comes with a lense.

on some a Nikon d80, on some a Sony DSC H5

Images on Deviant Art are copyrighted and using them for stocks is Illegal. You should never use stocks from that site. To get the glossy effect, just take the eliptical marquee too and select the area on top that would become glossy. Then just make a new layer and in the selection fill it with white ( press "d" let go, press "x" let go, press "alt+backspace" let go.) then change the opactity to 25% or whatever loooks good. I personally dont like this effect, you will find many many tutorials for good effects at my site if you want to take a look at them. the link is in my sig.

Not too bad, man, but being so monotone is really bad for this tag. I would give it some colour. Maybe yellows and golds? Anyways, move the text near the focal point, having text in a corner totally draws off the eyes focus and hurts tags. Also, i think a 1pxblck border or no border at all would suit it better than the current. Finally, I think the effects are pretty nice, but the direction is a little random on a few of them; I would make sure all of the blast looks to be originating from the sprite (via angle).

way too much void, dude, like the previous poster said. Also, there is no harmony between colours at all. the effects look rushed and over saturated. Also, on the text, id place it a bit lower and on the other side of the stock.

for pixel work, save as .gif will make really small file size. =D for future referrence.

hello, i am trying to play at school, but there is a firnfilter, it wont let me go to runescape.com. . Once, i got thru the filter (luck), i got to the enter password name ect. but when i pressed ok, it said check internet settings, please help me, i want to play. please..... "broward.k12" is the schools secure proxy I can go through a proxy, but it is unsecure, i need help.....its.....kris.nu if u need more info, dont hesitate to ask
