  1. I saw Norma Jean live awhile back, they sound amazing live... all in all I'm jealous of you ^^ must have been a hell of a show
  2. A Christmas Story :P such a funny movie
  3. dam i hate when people do this lol. We know who the * he is. no need for facts to make yourself look cool. Flea is one crazy * bassist. If you look him up on putfile and that vid is sweet. James Jamerson Cliff Burton was sweet bassist too like he said.....   not all people know who he is, especially with all the noobs on these messageboards, it was probably worth mentioning   cliff burton for me too         if your posting in "best Bassist ever" why wouldn't you kno who cliff burton is? but yeah i guess some emo good person kids don't know or some kid who only watches bands on mtv.          I'm an emo, and I knew who he was... so stop being dumb and steryotyping
  4. well all of theirs have screaming in them atreyu is screamo.......hawthorne heights is nothing like that. Maybe the CD I mulled over was different than all the others? "If only you were lonely" its called Erm read my first post, I said it wasn't screamo :P Screamo is stuff like = Atreyu Silverstein Underoath Norma Jean
  5. well all of theirs have screaming in them
  6. Hrm 2 things 1) Screamo usually has much better lyrics and the instrumental pieces are better. 2)Hawthorne Heights is NOT really screamo
  7. Gladiator for sure.. the music really led you through it
  8. Flea for sure... he's by far unmatched at bass
  9. Well I myself just recently bought a Gibson SG Supreme... but thats above your current range... for a first guitar I'd really consider an Epiphone or a lower priced ESP... both great for beginners And on the subject of Strats The only ones around 300 dollars are the Strats made out of the US You are looking to pay $650 + for an American strat, depending on specs
  10. This is about "Underground" bands. Not "featured on Mtv's website" bands. My post does have them, I'm sorry I like more than just underground music son.. guess I can't comment on bands someone else likes without you interuppting?
  11. Everyone hates emo? Good joke, the scene is growing fast.... Maybe if you actually listened to the music rather than just jumping on the hater bandwagon, you'd realise most of the singers have really good voices.. idiots... and on the subject of the musical layout... Listen to some screamo, and you'll prove yourself wrong
  12. Some rap has substance, most doesn't but doesn't mean all rap is bad
  13. Bayside (R.I.P. "Beatz") is great and Panic! At the Disco are good
  14. Anti-Flag The Juliana Theory Aiden With Broken Wings
  15. No Stevie Ray love yet ;( such a shame, he was an amazing guitarist
  16. Bands such as RHCP and Blink 182 did a lot for their genres, think they will be remembered solely for that reason
  17. Yes because all emo is, is a bunch of suicidal people  Two real problems with that A) You use such a steryotypical view of emo, rather than knowing anything B) There are easily other genres of music that bring suicide into the picture.. rather than just emo
  18. But I can easily argue.. the same message being passed on by other forms of music.. why can you so easily diss one genre when most others do the same.. How can you insult one form. when mosts others easily do the same to people

    Emo

Ah the heated debate continues... on why people need to steryotype people who listen to emo, so post your comments on the subject.
  20. My god, so easy.. 1) Stevie Ray Vaughan (he is by far the greatest, not enough credit given to him) 2) Joe Satriani 3) Jimmy Page 4) Steve Vai 5) Tom Delonge (he's not big on solos but he can make those power chords just sound hella good)
  21. Hrm this is a tough one so I'll do a list of 5 1) Taking Back Sunday - There's No "I" in Team 2) Linkin Park - Easier to Run 3) Fall Out Boy - Yule Shoot Your Eye Out 4) Panic! at the Disco - I Write Sins Not Tragedies 5) The Juliana Theory - If I Told You This Was Killing Me, Would You Stop?
  22. Favorite Band: Toughie.... between The Juliana Theory and The Used Favorite Guitarist : Stevie Ray Vaughan, he was true greatness Favorite Bassist : Tough one, I think I'll have to say Mark Hoppus of Blink 182
