I suggest any monster that drops a clue scroll, because I find doing clues to be pretty good. I don't fight many low level monsters. Because I'm obviously at a very high level. But any monster that drops a level 1 clue scroll (like al-kharid warriors) will do. Al-Kharid warriors also drop air staffs pretty often, and that can give a decent amount of money. So if you're at a low level I'd say go for Al-Kharid warriors. There probably are better monsters to fight. But I don't fight low level monsters often, so that's really the best advice I can give.

I have done a lot of hard clues, and it is rare that I get a god armor or something like that. It has happened but it's rare. I'm sure the special armor for elite clues is also supposed to be rare. It's a good thing that those items are rare. Because that does, in my opinion at least, make the clues more interesting. Because it will feel more rewarding. If treasure trail exclusive items were common, I don't think the treasure trails would be very interesting. But if there is anything that is bothering me it's the fact that elite clues are rare. I have killed like 2,000 steel dragons and have only recieved an elite clue once, and yeah the items I got were just a few potions that aren't worth much.

My dungeoneering level is very low. I should train that skill since those resoucre dungeons are useful. But not now, I am gonna finish collecting those roots by killing hill giants, as well as collecting other herblore ingredients I need. But after I'm done training herblore I am going to train dungeoneering for a bit.

I'm currently training herblore and am fighting hill giants, but I will say I hate fighting those monsters. Besides the limpwurt roots those monsters drop nothing but junk. Low amount of arrows and runes at an uncommon rate, useless seeds and awful metal items. Hill giants suck. And I only fight them for the limpwurt roots, they are not worth it for anything else.

Granted, they never leave anything at all so open and never share anything online. I wish for the same abilities the Hulk has.
