Yeah. You get the shield for free DURING the quest. Get to the part where you have spoken to that guy who sells rune plates and he's like you gotta fight this dragon. If you don't already have one somewhere, you'll just have to tell the Duke that you need the shield to fight dragons.

I wouldn't hold my breath though. There's still ruby, diamond, and dragonstone that don't have uses except to look pretty.

Grow more. You could also find alternative ways of obtaining these items. For example, instead of growing potatos for the farmer go pick them at a farm somewhere. Instead of growing oranges for payment, buy at the store in the Grand Tree. Instead of growing tomatos, take them from the respawn in that witch's place in Draynor.

Just try to have fun. Higher skills may help with some stuff, but the most important thing is to have fun.

Hmm... I've fought tons of shades back in my f2p days and never once got a shade robe drop. I've fought maybe 7 shades while p2p and got 5 shade robe drops. So... Idk. I think they're only dropped in p2p. Or you get a better chance.

I don't know how much people buy them for, but I do know that they will be members who use them in Herblore and getting it themselves is too slow.

No, the same as other amulets. Yep. You better start differentiating between a necklace and an amulet right now or you'll fall for that scam again. Amulets are made with an amulet mold and you can't wear it until you string it. Necklaces are made with a necklace mold and are wearable without any further work.

I wouldn't beat up Jagex. It's well known that there are a ton of necklaces that can't be enchanted. Although beating up Jagex for making those necklaces cratable could be in order. It's called an Amulet of Fury. Not a Fury Necklace. Becareful next time dude. And by the way, only necklaces up to emerald are enchantable.
