get a crossover cable, connect it to the pc taht is connected to a land line. Switch internet sharing on and done. Or get a router. Google it

If u cant shutdown using start>shutdown try ctrl+alt+del and select shutdown from there. But try disabling norton and also scan for adaware and spyware.

If you have a bad computer dont leave it on for days on end. My [cabbage]box computer i left on for 40 hours the harddrive died and the cpu was on its last legs. So yer when your done with it at night just turn it off
