12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
I've posted quite a few, but yes, definitely worth the time it takes to read them. The best are the boss ones (Astra/Lexi) and M. and Thok

Once you've unlocked the boss door, you can talk to the smuggler and he will tell you the tricks/strategies for the boss Hah, didn't know that. Still, that removes the fun - for me. So I won't be telling my partner. :P

Guilty as charged. It reminds me of the glory days I had in RS, with people. Before I developed the "grind to GWD then you'll be happy" mentality. <3 Billy Personally, I've found that anymore than 3 people and the bosses start to get ludicrous. 2 seems ideal pace, solo is fine, and three is great if you have that extra mate that wants to tag along. Any more, and you're just doing it for the funsies.

This guy is very tough. Summons hordes of tomes to attack you and has a nasty magic attack.

So if I have 15 prestige, I reset, do 3 floors, my prestige is still 15? Does it matter which floors I do?

Block the corpses. One stand infront of each. That is all there is to it.

At least one boss which you will struggle to kill with melee. And I never bother to craft armour :P

Gago, the room where the boss is in doesn't get any bigger :P and there are more attacks because there are more people so less space to dodge them :) @flyingjj, it's not that bad to get the hang of, but if you do get a bit of lag it can screw you over
-

If you run in circles and don't lag, yes, but it's much harder when you're not solo.

Essentially.. no, it isn't. It requires some training in other skills, and the basis is in combat (fine, you win, it's attack but called dungeoneering!), but the majority of the skill is new. You don't solve logic puzzles in Hunter, for example. There is a resemblance to certain quests, I admit.

That's your personal opinion and you can't blame Jagex for not asking your opinion on every stage of game design. I don't like Agility but I don't moan because of that, and there are plenty who do enjoy it, so how can I say Jagex are at fault there?

I can honestly say I have not found one aspect of this skill repetitive, apart from not having the requirements to open certain doors. That is frustrating :P Yes, ok, Daemonheim is the portal to the landscape, at the moment there are 3 settings of Dungeon (and judging from the music book, I think that's it), which ok isn't the most variety in the world, but I still remain happy that I'm not being bored by doing the same movements over and over, as say I am during, firemaking, construction, prayer, agility, mining, fletching, crafting, thieving, runecrafting, woodcutting..

what up bonecrusher indeed, and I fully intend to use the rewards from dungeoneering outside daemonheim as well, that 5x rapid heal looks delicious for camping AZ's, for example

Why does it have to give back something to Hunter? Does Construction let you do more Fishing? Does agility let you do more firemaking?
