Cropping Tutorial Heres a tut teaching you how to crop out a pic with a lot of detail. A lot of people use the magic wand or lasso tool but I think this works better. 1. Open up the picture you want to crop out. Like a person for example. I choose Mark Hoppus from Blink 182... lol his pic looked cool :P. Thanks David Atlas for the pic :). 2. I tried to magic tool this pic but when I came around the hair it started going crazy like this. This is why I would choose my way. 3. Press ctrl + alt + x. It will open up an extract screen. You have to get familiar to this screen. It has a brush tool, a magnifyer, and a paint bucket. 4. Zoom into the most detailed place.. in this picture the hair is. Use a small brush size and draw around it. Hold ctrl to get a better and easier draw around. BTW.. an easy way to zoom around something you want is hold and drag a box around it (with the magnifying glass) and it will zoom into that spot only :). 5. It should look something like this when you done. Dont worry if you didnt draw exactly around it. 6. Choose the bucket tool, and make the colour what every you want. I just used blue since its default. After filling it up press okay. 7. When its done extracting you will see its still slightly messy around some places. Just click on the eraser tool (hold down) and choose the background eraser tool. Put it really small (like 1-2) and erase the little things around your pic. Since its transparent you can put it anywhere and it wont block out your background (like no white will appear around the picture. Your done!.... You can use this is sigs or just random things. Heres something I put it in (didnt take too much work on it though :P). Enjoy! If there are any spelling mistakes in this tutorials just pm me :). There are different ways of cropping out a picture.. haha. You dont just have to use lassos or magic wand. Like for exp. I used Ctrl + alt +x.

Download the brush. Right click on the folder and extract all. Another folder will come up. Move that folder into like my documents or something (desktop wont work) and load brushes in photoshop. http://www.surrealproductionsx.com/brTutorial.html

you put the layers you want in front of it (so higher on the layer palette). EX. Bad : Dragon will be infront of everything Layer 1 - dragon Layer 2 - ground Layer 3 - person Layer 4 - Trees Layer 5 - Background Should change it to Good: dragon will be behind everything Layer - 1 ground Layer - 2 person Layer - 3 trees Layer 4 - Dragon Layer 5 - background (cant move this because its locked). Just drag the other layers over the dragon one :). To put the dragon in the background you have to crop him out first (use magic wand) or press ctrl + alt + x. When you use Ctrl + alt+ x a screen will come up. Zoom in around the dragon (or drag with the magnifying glass around him) and get the brush tool. Hold Ctrl and trace around him. When you've done that fill him in with the bucket and press okay. Now your layer will be transparent and have the dragon only. Move him in a layer above the background one and merge them :).

Everytime I make a picture in Photoshop it look good IMO, but when I upload it, or even transfer it to imageready (the button thing) all the colours change and it looks completely different. For example. I'll have a dark blue font colour, and when I upload it it will be blue/purple. Also i'll have a pretty bright background, I upload it and it gets darker. I use imageshack and I dont think anyone else has problems with them. Anyone know how to make it save my actual picture without screwing it up?

Heres my try. I can fix the font and the heart no problem.. just wanted you to see how it might look :P. the quality is always worse when I upload, even if its jpeg on 12 quality (top) or gif. It always changes a bit when I upload. If you like this sig I can send it over msn or aim and you'll see the better version. I didnt put a boarder on it because it can be done after, and UGH how did it turn out purple :@! heres as png. ^ lol didnt help.

Lol.. take more time on your sigs. This sig is very simple. It can look if a lot of effort is put into it but right now I think it needs improvement. 1 hour isnt a lot for a sig remember. ;).

The size limit for an avatar here is 6000 bytes :shock:. They should raise it to 10000 at least :P. It would probably take me about 15000-20000 to make a better one. After i'm done everyones avatars and have extra time i'll get to it ;).

Cell_snake... sorry for taking so long... I was at my friends house for a few hours haha. Here it is. I think the fire part is sortta lame :P. If I had a bigger limit i'd add some reactions, maybe some running around and stuff. ^ too big. ^ better one.

That is your best so far.. by a lot :shock:. I would use that as your current.. its just awesome. Usually I would like the pictures like dragon and guy, but in this picture the background in the thing that stands out (the dragon and the guy are still really, really good). 10/10. Its perfect Maybe try making the staff light brighter (that could ruin it) but just see the difference.
