try shorter strokes for the grass with some bushes, just like the one you have in front. for the sky...hmmm try more "solid" strokes...meaning less lines visible...make it blend...

yes it's a technique, so it's optional, some pieces of work look better with it others don't, but still that comes into opinion, although you see that sue's work needs dithering, (s)he (sorry don't know what you are) doesn't think so... therefore, i have a great wonderful statement: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder Sue made it, so let 'em do what (s)he wants... looks like you didn't put on enough coats of color and it dried up in the kiln also i don't like the colors... they "clash"

i think you need something so they can connect your piece... but looks good or it could be the top....

it's looking great, but the angle of the head looks kinda awkward for what you want make him in a blood slaughtered room with some broken windows, mangeled chairs old photos, beat down dresser it'd look "nice" :XD:
