What's wrong with people who don't read books? I haven't read a book that wasn't for class in 10 years, and rarely read books that are assigned (skim through them at most, usually).
Granted he shouldn't have flamed... but some of us don't care much for reading ;)
I'm resisting the urge to flame here. OK, some people don't like reading, but saaying there's nothing wrong with people who don't read books? I'm at a loss for words. Reading is incredibly important. Books make you think, give you knowledge, and give us the ability to reason and argue sensibly.
Anyway, back on topic. The original post was a very interesting read. Its points were made logically, and tie in with what i believe we must always remember - Jagex is a company. Companies only do things to make a profit. They might say they care for their customers, or the environment, but really thats just to give us, the consumers, a good impression of them.
However, i prefer the idea one poster came up with (sorry, cant remember who!) that Jagex doesn't completely sort out the macroers because it would cost too much.
RAHK's thoughts are all logical, and cant really be faulted on the whole, but i think that the laziness idea is more likely. After all, Jagex as a whole is a company, but a company is made up of people. And unless all the staff are completely immoral, someone would have spilt the beans.
Speaking of which, raw carrots

personally I think its going to be like a "badge of shame" , if someone runs from you in the wild , and you nail them with a pie , other players will somehow be able to see that you got pie in the face for running from a fight :P
Thats what i think it should be. Yet another thing to cause damage would be a bit dull. But custard pie throwing is much more interesting - perhaps something would appear above your head, like skulls! then people can see your shame

I fletch and alch yew longs - the raw materials cost 750, they alch for 768. Profit and magic experience. Unfortunately its rather slow, but i'm not spending money (in the long run), and thats what counts!

i love the idea of stuff made out of dragon bones - imagine a dragon skull as a helmet!
-
Fairly well off, intelligent, evil, power hungry
Some sort of low level merchant, trying to gain power and influence - i'd manage it too!

I hate the new outfit, black mystic still owns. The stats of it dont worry me as i normally never do very much combat, i wear my outfit for status and becuase it looks good..
Black Mistic gives more status than full infinity?

Full rune, dragon spear (s) for Hill Giants. But i was killing over 1000 of them in a run, so i was bound to get one!
-
i actually kill abbys without actually being 85 slayer
Poisen tactic
How do you do that?
-
How about the satisfaction of a job well done? that should be reason enough to do them. It relieves the monotony of training

My favourite has to be Crafting. Its not my highest (only 56) but the vast range of different things to make, the fact that nearly every level there is something new, and that so many things are quite useful. Its quite annoying to level, but so is everything else. Being able to realisticly make all your equipment for level 40 ranging is an attraction, and something I aim to be able to do, prefereably by the time i get to level 40 ranged.

I'd like a hard quest that you have to think about. Not one where high levels will make you breeze through, because any dumb shmuck with too much time can get high levels (not wanting to insult people with high levels who aren't dumb shmucks). Not one where a quest guide will make it easy.
Something with a vary random element, which good logic will help you overcome. Maybe a play on the Twelve Tasks of Hercules, with a mixture of logic, lateral thinking and skills. That would be a good quest.

I love it!
This would be much more worthwhile than any other possible update Jagex could do. It would have to be p2p only of course.
For a start it would mean an end to spending ages sorting it all out, then it being a mess a week later.
Please do it Jagex

You were the guy who goes around attacking helpless miners and trainers, hypocrite.
And your ten seconds idea doesn't actually solve the problem, since what kind of Pk Victim dies in ten seconds? Hardly. Unless you team, which just becomes more hypocritical.
Not hypocritical, just an evil %&$ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã# for attacking defenceless people
The teleport is there to save people who really don't want to get into fight. I like the 1 minute idea, as this would stop people being dishonourable, while giving scaredy cats like me a way out.
It would let people who want to fight, and protect the weak and scared

I think this might be relatively unknown but here it goes.
I was in the Hero Guild caves to recharge my ammy and this guy says to me. "hey, can you kill this blue dragon for me?" "The other guy logged out and the dragon has like 10 hp left." So stupid me goes in there WITHOUT my antidragon shield *slaps self*. I tried to escape but they guy just kept closing the gates on me preventing me from escaping. So I die and lose about 600-700k worth of items on me:'(
couple of people did that to me - luckily i had a lot of food and a glory. After a while running up and down i managed to teleport out on 5 health. Looks like i was luckier than you!

Rildur here.
And Miscellania is rubbish. I got the coal at about 250 each, with full popularity and 100k in the coffers.
Then i withdrew it all and ran

i just saw the lumby caves one, but i am fletching in the bank and didn't go - shame i didnt go with my bullseye  that would annoy them

Tomato will you PLEASE have my babies?
I love how you bumped your dead 10 day old topic that had little content to begin with just to try and sound clever.
I love how you try to sound clever by acting like you're superior to everyone by replying with nothing but cutting remarks when really, you could be a bigger man and just let it die.
Note that I fully realize the irony of this post. Sh.
I hate it when then happensd - you really, really want to reply to someones annoyingness, but cant because it makes you seem bad

TPUM wears glasses

i kinda like the skill total idea - but i don't see it happening, as it would be far too unpopular

To plant flowers (for those who've asked) you need mithril seeds. You get these from the Legends guild (wish i could!) or the waterfall quest

why should rewards for doing something amazing be buyable?
Should military medals be buyable? Rich people would pay the govt for a medal! It removes the sense that having one means something.
Acheiment should be recognised, and that recognition should not be bought

something as simple as a unique, good looking cape for each skill. It would give an advantage in the skill - the fire cape puts your bonusses up.
A...fishing cape would increase the rate at which you get the better option from your patch - more swordies as opposed to tuna.
And so on..
Something recognisable, that gives a good effect, for every skill. Possibly it could materialise out of thin air when you hit lvl 99.
-
poorly cooked karambwan hits you for 5 damage when you eat it - you'd need a lot, but you could get down low enough with it, then eat more when your health rises again.
I'd love to take part - as to the Pker problem...dunno, maybe try to reason with them?
