i agree fully with this. (not in the rs example though or bush) One problem with politics these days is that people expect their leaders to do what THEY want, not what the leader wants. The point of a republic is to elect leaders that do what they want, not what the people want at that moment. The populus is easily swayed by attack ads for instance. The hope is that the leader will not be so easily swayed. At least that is how America's founders designed our government to reflect...

Pardon me for only enjoying what was the only adrenaline inducing activity left... the only area still slightly out of big brother's protection and still anti-newb. i've played for 6 years and this was the only thing that kept me coming back (besides the holiday updates which are always fun-haven't missed one in 5 or so years) This "vast" game just became less vast....

Imagine... no more castle pking.... no more danger involved in the wildy since u can just pick up ur stuff when stupid MONSTERS try to kill u... no more varrock pking... no more random gifts to random noobs... no more drop parties... no more having fun with your family... overreact? nah... seems like underreacting to me.

No practical use for typing???? omgosh!! you obviously have never written an essay..... Not to mention... FARMING!!! I would know absolutely nothing about hops and barley and such without the farming skill. Very useful. I also wouldn't know that you can make essentially everything out of any wood better than normal wood without nails!!

i was an early 2001 player. It was a lot funner because it was unknown. you had to figure things out like "does magic use up your runes when you fire it?" The kb kills such fun as does tutorial island and such. RSC was fun because there was no babysitting of newbes. I first logged in after choosing a class (i had zippo idea what that did for me at the time) and tried to move with my arrow keys. After a bit of help from my bro we walked past each other twice before finally meeting. gosh those were good times.

we saved up and bought a santa hat for 5 mill right after construction came out. In a week they cost 10 mill. Some of course was used on construction for turning wood into planks and buying rooms, etc. besides that, we pretty much save it all up and buy the occasional rare.

lol.... i find it funny how poor and desperate ppl are these days.... back in the day, (2001) i got cracked twice and got 2 blue phats. Me being the genius i am, sold one, (really cheap back then - 500) and traded one for a green and red. Me and my bro still have that red, along with another he made with his own money. IN addition, we have at last count 4 santa hats (one from original drop, another from a lucky pk, and a few bought with hard earned money), a few easter eggs, and 2 full sets of masks (We snatched them up right after the drop). We have never sold a rare except to buy another rare. Yet, we have millions in cash. its called HARD WORK!!! try it some time. all you fools say "i'm poor". Well, try some elbow grease. It isn't THAT hard to make money in rs!!!! do barrows, do treasure trails. get 85 mining. (FREE!!) THEN you can do wtvr you want. but knowing you all, you would simply waste that money on 99 construct or something... "Buying" skills is a complete sign of total stupidity. Check out my bro's character. Of all his skills, not one was bought. Oh no. His 109 combat? trained WITHOUT the use of pc. 91 range? guess who made the arrows. 60 prayer? HA! 0 bought bones. 92 magic? guess who made the alc runes. firemaking skill? He cut the wood for it. Construction? Practically our whole family cut wood for him. Mining? Powermining. Day after day. hour after hour. Ok you get the point. In my opinion everyone who has replied to this thread with either "I'd sell and get 99" or "I'd treasure it 4eva" either needs to get some work ethic, or get a life. Its a freakin GAME!!! that your friend just QUIT!! Do you think he gives a **** what YOU do with an item in a [developmentally delayed]ed game that HE just QUIT??? if you need material goods to remember someone..... can you still call yourself a friend? No it would not exist outside of the universe and we can still measure it and think about it all we want. So it is very useful as a concept. I personally use this concept everyday.
