Right, I've done a rough out line. Excuse the slight out-of proportion anatomy but I was going over the faint lines quickly. Just wanted to know whether it was okay and if you want anything changing. If you do I'll make another quick sketch for you until I've got it right. Then we'll go from there; I'll do a colour picture or a shade one. You get the gist but yeah. I like your character. He's quite fun to sketch.. So, one step at a time. You like it? And what you want changed? Oh, and ignore the screwed lips.. I'll change them later on. Here 'tis:

Yeah I will do you one. And yes, I do want a picture to copy but I would like to think someone would WANT it so if you're just gonna give me a picture to copy that's not what I mean if you understand. If you want one for your use then sure. =D

I enjoy art so I wondered if any of you wanted anything done. I'd like a character because I love drawing people but anything I'll have a go at. Post the picture here and I'll get it up as soon as possible. But please, if you've noticed a waiting list building up wait 'til I'm up to date. Thanks! =D

Hey, this is the first on only pixel I've ever done. I was on here about a year ago but with all my work and stuff I just forgot about it. I haven't been on here for ages but I wanted to finish this pixel off well before I move onto a new one. I don't like the face at all, but I don't know what I can do to make it look better or realistic at least. If I get better more subtle colours it doesn't look like anything's been happening. Any help anyone? I've noticed that this forum has started losing pixellors or something, but I need help. Argh! Thanks guys, here's the pixel as it stands now.

I would give it say.. a 9.5/10. I don't think it's quite hit the perfect milestone but still it's pretty darn near! I can't put my finger on what I dislike about it. Ah, yeah I think it is the faint lines around the dragon; nothing major but still a slight let-down. I reckon that if you spent a bit of time going around the lighter lines surrounding for example it's left wing it would make it that tad bit better. But of course you don't have to, I am a pain in the butt perfectionist so you know. Oh and hello people. Dunno if you remember me but I am back after what must be a year. Waves and grins!

I really like this, I would use it as my own signature anyday however, i do think that one criticism has to be made. If you put your render in front of the border, you should be able to see the whole of it not just the bold line where the render stops, if you are unable to do this it is probrably wiser to just trap the render behind the border.

It is really good, it looks like you've spent some time on it. The only thing I would have changed is where the candle would be placed; I would have tilted the dragon's head upwards and put a hole in his mouth instead, with a tea light holder so that it looked as though the dragon was breathing fire slightly. But other than that, there would be nothing I would change about it.

Thanks, but as I said in my previous post, the reason I have only used a few shades of colour is because of my limited pallette. If anyone would be willing to solve this problem for me, please see my previous post and post on this thread or 'pm' me. Terley, thanks for the ideas and advice, the blue would look better on the side of the mage's face... I'd love to see some of your pixels, if you would show me some, please post me a website if oyu have one, or post them here :) . I'm intrigued, I hear you make some mean pixel sigs! Yes, I would like an example of what you mean... you've left me slightly bewildered but I get the general gist of things. Another thing... I just don't seem to have enough colours on my pallette and therefore I can't shade gradually. I've tried saving my picture as PNG but I am still limited with the shades and colour variations... Yeah, I've been pondering over the orb on the staff for a while now, whatever I do, it just doesn't seem to look clear/magical/mystical... anyway, I decided to fully edit everything else about the mage... see my profile! I totally agree... why talk 'lyk dis' for the sake of a few letters? Surely if given the choice - which you have - you would type properly. Maybe you 'can't be bothered' :roll: but maybe we 'can't be bothered' to decipher you texts as to me, they are barely legible! Okay... well obviously I am going to add some grass to the signature when I'm done shading the man, and I am going to put a rune ... I've forgottern what they are called. It's like a ruin, you know where you go to add elements to your essence. I'm sure you know, but anyway, the ruins are going to go next to the mage and then I was thinking of having a few splatters of blood, maybe a cheap weapon, some bones etc... Here is a quick (and I mean REALLY quick) sketch of the basic features of this sig...

Sorry about this... it IS myfirst pixel signature after all... :D Anyway, the picture below has got all the details on it. There is just something about the shadowing and lighting on the arm that puts it into a strange perspective. It just looks incorrect. What can I do? Okay, new morning, new day. After I finished the linework of the man, I feel I rushed the shading... I am removing the shading to start afresh because I am not happy with the grain or the shading on the staff and the lighter colour on his cloak looks too rushed. Thanks for all the coments so far guys... keep them coming! Scotty +lordspyx+ EDIT! Here is the new and improved {hopefully anyway} pixel signature... I have begun taking out the black lines and replacing them with more subtle colours. I have added the moonlight on the mage's cloak, face, hair and belt. I am going to be working on the moonlight on the mage for a little while so any c/c would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Okay, I took your advice and shaded the staff a little... i tried to add some grain but I'm not sure whether it looks okay... what do you think. Secondly I have added a lighter colour along the side nearest to the moon, a darker colour on the side the furthest away from the moon and a dark colour where sleeves/hands etc block out the moonlight... what do you think? Hi all members of the tip.it community! I have been trying to create my own pixel signature. I was reccomended that I set up this thread for help, advice and c/c (wow, I feel so un-noobish using that word :D)! So I have drawn a moon which I am very happy with, I have created a mage coloured it basically and added a small bit of shading on it. Anyway, I am finding it very hard to shade using the computer. Any help or criticism would not go a miss and please feel free to have a go at colouring/shading/editting my pixel signature as you feel appropriate! Thanks so much! I would have a go for you... I am working on my first one now... I am really pleased with it so when it is finsihed I will put it up so you can see what you think. If you like it, I'll be quite happy to have a go for you as I wouldn't mind practicing and I do enjoy it... the one I'm working on at the moment has taken me 2.5 hours and I've only done the moon and begun shading the guy... Agh! I hope the fact that I've only done one doesn't put you off... if you wait for a couple of days to see my first pixel painting maybe you will be willing for me to have a go... Ah well done... we're only doing maths and science! No English :( now there's a bummer. My favourite subject is the only one we're not doing! Besides, it's ridiculous that we're not doing them all!
