  1. While this topic had good intentions to start with it's now turned into a flame fest. On top of that it has multiple people providing information which they should not be (password length etc.) for that reason I am locking this topic. Thanks.
  2. I just remembered I've not posted here in a while.
  3. What is this "Oraganise" you speak of? Off the top of my head it is Runes/amulets/gems/other such things in first tab, Summoning, Slayer, Skilling stuff (hatchets/logs etc.), Currency and other consumables, Equipment, Misc Equipment. Believe that's what it was anyway, it's no longer even close to being like that lol
  4. Ran Naxx25 today, although the server was having huge huge lag problems so had to give up 3 bosses from the end when most of the people DCed. Had 3rd overall DPS and even got highest DPS on some bosses
  5. I'd expect that kind of stereotype pker mindset ignorance from certain other people on this forum, but not from an administrator. Pk'ers aren't that influential. Gravestones make Protect item useless in most PvM scenarios, yes it still has a couple of uses but there's no point having it in PvP worlds at all. I don't understand why Jagex didn't make it so instead of having it auto protect 1 item on these new worlds that instead you had to use the protect item spell. I'm not saying it's completely useless but very rarely does it make a huge difference (only thing I can really think of is soloing or if using a full barrows set). However it's main function always was PvP use
  6. They might as well just remove the protect item prayer now, it's useless. Honestly don't understand why these worlds can't just allow you to use protect item (and auto-skull you), would make it worthwhile getting 25 prayer for protect item. Oh well, this is a good update anyway
  7. 3k dps is normally enough to get me highest on the DPS meter. I get more on bosses (3.5k+ normally). Anyway, finally did Naxx10 today, wasn't a bad run, had most damage done over the raid and got a few epics out of it, although no Tier 7 dropped for mages all Raid :( had enough tokens to buy Tier 7 top though which is helping a lot with mana. http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet ... =Milfamore 13 epics now, 5 of which are 213. Need to try and run Naxx25 tomorrow and get a lot of gear from that but I think I'm more than geared for it now. I didn't die a single time on any of the bosses (unless we wiped), well I did on Gluth but that's because I was kiting and wasn't getting healed enough, really needed someone else with me to help with the kiting but no one else was able to so had to do it solo. I imagine after I've run Naxx25 this week and next week I'll be roughly geared enough for Ulduar 10 atleast, I assume I'd need to have full epics and majority of which would need to be 213 before I can start running Ulduar though? So I guess it'll be a bit more than that. Would be nice to be geared for the new Raid when that comes out, but I doubt I'd be able to do that :(
  8. Except any risk which is greater than 75k does not significantly increase your reward. Last I cared to check d scims were 100kish and whips were 1.4mish, right? I seriously doubt that using a whip will get you 14 times as many kills as you would get while using a scimitar, so the risk does not scale in a linear fashion with the reward...Risk >= Reward would be a bit more accurate, I believe. You have a very good point. But wouldn't you agree that a person using an AGS would have a better KO potential than somebody using a whip? Perhaps slightly - however with Smite you could get rid of protect prayer anyway, thus they are risking more. On top of that the whip is a lot quicker too which sort of balances the weapons out. Umm the noobs that used ags and claws had invos full of sara brews and prayer pots and all they do is prayer switch and run to the nearest safe zone wich is normaly for them about 20-100 spaces away. They would never fight anyone one spec and if they didnt get the KO then they run away. Wrong, I was talking about people who were actually using AGS to pk with, not those who jumped in halfway through a fight. Most of those people fight until they're out of food and if you got lucky yes it was possible to smite their prayer out, unlikely but still possible.
  9. If someone's standing next to you with his AGS out, eager to spec you, usually people attack them because of their shiny sword. Otherwise, you should be well aware of what's going to happen when your opponent takes a break from attacking you. Melee pray. Run away. Call a friend. Do ANYTHING other than complain about having no chances of survival in that situation. If I'm fighting someone else I have most of my concentration on fighting them and most of the time the "rusher" in this case stands at the edge of the screen out of the way and most of them have protect from melee on, thus no one attacks them. There are a lot of "breaks" during a fight due to the way the combat system works, are you saying I should put protect from melee on and run away every time? No, especially as most of the times when I can be attacked is when I'm close to KOing someone so why should I have to run away. Jagex need to make it that if you've been in combat at all in the last 10 seconds (attacking or attacked another player) then you can't be attacked until after those 10 seconds. It's not that difficult to be aware of your surroundings. It's only hard when there's dozens of people around you... in which case the dozens of others are usually keeping an eye on those with expensive PJing gear. My point is, there aren't any situations like this in which you have a 0% chances of survival. If there were, then everybody would be exploiting that (granted, people exploit the system and unprepared people die anyway). Plus, people ambushing you with an AGS in the middle of the fight should occur less and less after these updates. Why will it be occurring less? Perhaps ever so slightly but most of the people that did it previously did so with protect melee on, they're going to be still be doing that with the same chance of death as they had previously. Don't think I've ever seen a claws/AGS rusher get killed before this update and doubt it will happen now after. People are still going to be doing it and there's nothing you can do to stop them other than getting lucky with what they hit on you.

  11. Because, there is always that slight chance that you will die, weather it be from lag, or some epic combo with dark bow or ags. And yes, complaining does get you somewhere, complaining could make jagex give us protect item back, theres always that slight chance (however rare from a company like jagex) that they will listen to there customers. Who cares if they can use the prayer to have no risk, they earned the 60 mill for the AGS, they should be able to use it in PVP with protect item. Well, you take that slight chance that you might die as soon as you log into a PvP world. The driving factor for PvP worlds has been "danger of losing minimal items if you use your prayers", now it's full out "bring what you will die with". Risk = Rewards, I would think this update made any REAL PKer happy. And let's be honest, clicking the spec bar twice takes no skill, that's not real PKing. As for the complaining, it's annoying, and the reason I hate the RSOF. Jagex doesn't make a big habit out of caring for their customers. But there's no point in risking the extra, there's no benefit from killing someone and them losing their whip you'd still get the same loot regardless. PKing has always been about risking most of your items but being able to protect one, for over 7 years it has been that way, why does it have to change now when there's never been a problem with it before? With protect item on people can still risk more if they want to, there's nothing stopping them from doing so. Everyone is acting like NO ONE risked anything prior to this update which is not true at all.

  13. Except it doesn't prevent against AGS attacks which when you're fighting someone else you have no chance to protect against as you'll already be low hp from fighting someone else. So you don't only get "rushed" when out of combat and with an ice spell first. You have no way to prevent that from happening and hope you just have to get lucky.
  14. They didn't have 10m+ weapons back in 06  metagame is so different from 06 I fail to see how that video holds any relevance. He risked 4.4M every time and he got PJ'd with 11 def all the time. Now we've got people with 99 defence and armor afraid to risk a 1.5M whip lol Not to mention he PK'd with all 3 combat styles... ...and got a kill, dropped food to make room for drops, got PJ'd, and stayed and fought to kill the PJ'er lol There's a very good reason why Mahatma's one of the very few people whom I hold in extremely high regard on this game lol He's not the only one who risks things, you're acting like NO ONE risked things prior to this update. I've PKed numerous times in full dharok and whip skulled etc. but that was my choice to pk with that and my choice to risk that. I shouldn't be forced to risk EVERYTHING. For the first time since PKing has come out we are now being forced to risk everything. Runescape already has an extremely high death penalty both in non-pvp and pvp (although non-pvp isn't anywhere near as bad as it used to be). Getting rid of the ability to protect item doesn't effect the game in any sort of positive way. Just because one person doesn't care what they lose, doesn't mean everyone is the same. people have preferences, not everyone likes the same things and it's stupid Jagex are forcing out about 80% of the PKing population from this one update or making PKing extremely boring for the ones who stay, everyone is always going to try and keep their health at max etc. On top of that Mahatma wasn't even that good :P [hide=Win][/hide]
  15. The difference now is that you risk more with a whip, but you have less worry about 1-itemers with D claws and AGS, and you're bound to get legit kills with potentially good drops since the noobs who are earning EPs with one item worth 76k or more, or even coins, are bound to lose them. I would say that you have even lesser chance of losing your whip than before. The people who rushed before with AGS/Claws etc. kept Protect Melee at all times making them unkillable, this has not changed. If you can't PK any player using protect prayers, then what kind of PKer have you been? Always having honorable, no food no pray fight? If I'm pking with Melee I can't kill people who use protect melee, if I then bring a bow I won't be able to hit them with range and I'll lose food, so I'd have to bring dragonhide which would lose me even more food and make them much more likely to kill me. If I'm in the middle of fighting someone and someone else runs in and specials me when I'm already low health, how is it fair that I should lose a whip? I can't do anything to stop them doing that unless I use protect melee the whole fight.

  17. Then remove protect from Melee/Range/Mage prayers too. I already risked 700k+ when I was pking with Whip and most of the time I didn't even pk close to that on each kill. PvP has NEVER been about having to risk everything, people still risked things before this update so that's not going to change for those people. It's pointless making people lose more and will draw people away from proper PvP and just leave rushers and 26kers to rule the worlds.
  18. It doesn't affect "honour" pkers that much. And the trick is useless and almost impossible. What do people gain from me losing my whip now? Nothing. Same with 4 iteming with Dharok, you'd always be risking things anyway so it wasn't effecting the drops the other person got, so people who complained about it obviously didn't understand the system. I honestly don't see what not being able to protect item was meant to achieve? It was ment to put a greater risk into pvp. For what purpose?

  20. Oh well, now PKing is next to impossible the only really fun thing left in the game is now dead :( This update basically only effected proper PKers, 26kers are uneffected as are the morons who rush you in the middle of a fight.
  21. If I'm on a slayer task or whatever and the spot has more people than I deem "too many" there, I'll always hop. I don't want my experience being slowed by having other players take monsters and making me have to move around the area more when there's plenty of other worlds. When I'm using a cannon I do the same, it's slower experience to dump one down on a server with other players so I honestly have no idea why people do it, you're actually slowing your potential XP down, as well as everyone else there too, just so you can seem more "powerful" in a game where no one is going to care about you or what you do.
  22. Managed to get into a Naxx25 group today. They already had done the arachnid quarter and were just starting on The Construct Quarter Cleared all bosses with minimal effort, Patchwerk went fine, died on Grobbulus after having the debuff thing on me and a healer not spotting me :( but I got the shoulders and the trinket from that :D Wiped at Gluth first time as the off-tank DCed, went perfect the second time, got him as he was casting decimate for the 2nd time. Thaddius went well, no trouble at all, being able to blink between the two sides helped a lot. Got the sash from that :) Now have 4 213 epics and only one item that's not 200 (black duskweave legs, 187, made myself). and 4 level 200 ones. http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet ... =Milfamore Still need to run VoA10 this week and hopefully next week can get a full clear of both Naxx10 and Naxx25.
  23. I have no idea =/
  24. Finally get into a Naxx10 group about 1/4 way through. Did the 4 horsemen and had most DPS and got the staff. Then went to the arachnid quarter, first boss there, do most DPS there too. So they kick me from the group =/ Pissed me off so much as now I'm going to have to wait until next week to run it again when I'm obviously geared for it. Hopefully can get into Naxx25 this/next week too.
  25. http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet ... =Milfamore Decent evening, got Black War Bear for "For The Horde!" then did Gundrak finally getting level 200 boots, then did VH getting epic bracers, then upgraded my necklace by spending 25 emblems on one =P Really want to get into Naxx10 this week so I can upgrade a lot of the gear then perhaps do Naxx25 as well.
