  1. Does the Herblore update not count as high level? Or is level 95 too low level for you? Same with Agility and the Living Caverns update, that's 3 'high level' updates in a short space of time. On top of that - Ardounge Elite Tasks and even Within the Light had fairly high requirements.
  2. http://forum.tip.it/topic/246929-post-all-rs-screenshots-videos-and-sounds-here/ Please post it then that topic. Thanks.
  3. I agree to a certain extent, although some the game content this year has been awesome (Herblore Update, The Achievement diaries, Living Rock Caverns). On top of that I have enjoyed the majority of the quests this year. Some 'bigger' updates would indeed be nice, and I believe we're going to get one before the year is out. In my opinion, the game is much much more playable (and to me, that means it's more enjoyable) than it was a year ago. This to me is far more important than new content.
  4. While some say that there's not been too much content this year, there has been a fair amount of it and most of that is of a high quality. However, all the 'upgrades' this year, when combined, make 2009 one of the best years of updates we've had, here's why. The year started off with a bang when only the second update increased the logout timer to 5 minutes. This is a HUGE update to the game and it changes so much and makes everyone's lives that little bit easier. You make take this for granted now but the old logout timer was annoying and we just got used to it. Along with this update came the increase in the System Update timer to 10 minutes, which like the above, will be taken for granted but certainly helps out those who needed the extra time to finish what they were doing and get themselves to a safe place. Now, still in January we had the update that added to the option to right click on PMs to reply to them, something which I personally use all the time and I assume most of you do too, no more having to switch tab to reply to PMs. Along with this update was a very small update, and the sort of update that when combined with similar ones, makes this year one of the best for the player. "The Slayer ring, combat bracelet and the skills necklace have had their 'delays' removed when operating them." A very, very small update as I said, however it's nuisances like that which have now been fixed making the game better overall. From here on out I'll just post the updates that personally effect me in every day playing and I'd imagine effects a lot of you too without realising it. This is without going into the depths of the patch notes. Magic Interface Sort, Random Event Update, Price-Checker, Quest-List Update, Deposit All, Route Finding Update, Renew Familiar, Spam Filter, Run Energy Update, Animation Update, Runetek 5, Spell Auotcast Update, Right click equipment update, 'redbars' fixed, Resizable UI update (see all stats at once), Fight Caves Disconnect update, auto-repick option, Confirmation on Alching, Fair Ring Autodial. As I said, these are just the upgrades that I personally find beneficial in day to day playing that make the game 'easier' and more fun to play. That is not even touching the patch notes which include a hell of a lot more similar updates that. Then of course there has been the content updates to consider on top of that, a lot of them adding something to the game that is used day to day. While it's true that most of those updates are very small and minor things and when you see them the week they come out you are sometimes left a little disappointed. However, when you combine them together, along with the patch notes and new content you'll be left with, in my opinion, one of the best years of updates we've had.

    Lag

Yeah It's loaded fine. What's interesting, after having updated to Java 6 Version 17 I'm having no lag this evening :o It might just be 'luck' but if it keeps up like this all evening it appears the problem was due to the (old) newest version of Java. Will have to see, but hopefully it's fixed now!
  6. Wow, very nice Val  I swear when these finally drop it's shortly after you arrive/log for that session. My only scroll (zombie) only took me about 5 of them that day :D

    Lag

Having read the RSOF, I'm 95% sure this is an issue on Jagex's end, which is a shame, especially how I've had it for a long time now (about a month) and they've only recently started acknowledging that such a problem MIGHT exist.

    Lag

I have almost the exact same problem, it's fine for periods of the day then out of the blue it'll stop receiving data for a period of seconds, sometimes enough to disconnect me (but reconnect automatically as you said). However I have noticed that during this time I am still able to SEND data to the game, for example during this 'lag' I can right click drop on items and when I start receiving data again the items have been dropped. Same applies for things such as firemaking where I can still manage to do it despite the lag. It is strange and I have yet to find a solution, it appears to only really happen during 'peak' times, but this weekend it has been pretty much unplayable other than early morning which is slightly annoying. As far as I've found, changing server doesn't work and the lag can appear for a while then just randomly vanish. I wish I knew what was causing this as it seriously cuts back what I can do over the weekend which at the moment is basically struggle around doing a few farming runs. Out of curiosity, who's your ISP? I'm with Sky at the moment (but overall it's a rubbish service and will be changing in February to hopefully a proper provider).
  9. Finished the first playthrough today, to be honest I wasn't impressed. Will do the 2nd playthrough probably but I was expecting more out of this game.
  10. Yes, you only need the stats to start it and not actually during the quest, I boosted my Farming when I did it.

  12. Then there would be impling abuse! :( /me rushes off to make a stop impling abuse signature Edit: Here we go!
  13. XP isn't 'terrible', got 6k in an hour and a half and most of that was just running around not actually catching anything, if I bothered to catch whatever is in my way it'd be much better xp, increasing it to about 10-15k an hour is all that's needed in my opinion and any more would make it far too crowded and not worth it. I play the game for fun and not experience, the experience is just a bonus and I hope they keep it that way, which it sounds like what they're doing, just hope they don't make it too high.
  14. I'm normally very lazy and just stick my whole music folder (122GB) into one giant playlist and let it decide what comes up, have a large variety of Music in there so it's always interesting when it goes from something like Megadeth to Duran Duran to No Doubt to Blanket etc. lol Other times I'll just select one/a few bands and put that on, don't really have any specific playlists for activities though, just skip a song that comes up and I don't feel like listening to. I need to get myself a 120GB+ MP3 player, would love to get something let an iPod touch but they're far too small capacity wise and I'm not sure if they play FLAC or not? (Don't have too much FLAC though, just a few albums)
  15. I've just started playing this mini-game recently and am loving it despite only being able to catch up to magpie (with potions :P), so this update will be welcome to me - as long as it doesn't make it too crowded. I'd settle for slightly faster experience rate and perhaps slightly better respawns as long as the game stays roughly the same. Will be looking forward to this update anyway
  16. This is still not spam btw

  17. "Strange" Drops that I've seen. Mystic Robe Bottom Dragon Boots No Barrows drops either, which is kind of a shame. They will hopefully update it so that it tracks more things, and hopefully with an option to disable certain messages appearing (such as PKing messages, my log is spammed with my friends' kills :()
  18. Had this account for roughly 7.5 years, 211 days over 7.5 years is 0.077, or 7.7% of the last 7 and a half years I have spent playing Runescape. Which is 1.85 hours a day average.
  19. Time Played: 211 days 19 hours Honestly surprised that's so low.
  20. Wonder if this'll be released today (fully) then? Not sure I want to see my total time played, going to be very high considering that my stats suck :P It can't be much worse than my WoW playtime where I had about 25 days played over a period of 6 months :ohnoes:... can it? Expecting it to be >250, not sure though. Always wanted this feature though so really looking forward to it.
  21. I'm not viewing your profile

  22. Yes this is possible, assuming you're running Windows, go into your network adaptors and select the wireless + wired, right click on one and bridge connections. That's what I use to get my 360 online (Router -> Wireless Card -> Ethernet -> Xbox). So it should work the other way around.
  23. After 2 weeks with no WoW now, want to play a bit again. Was looking at the new Zygor guide and thought "I know, I'll log on and create a new character" then moments later I remembered my subscription expired =P Has been fun playing RS instead and doing other things, plus I work evenings now so Raiding would not be 100%. Would really like to get a subscription back just in time for Ice Crown but it'll probably be a month until I have the option of subscribing again, Ice-Crown might be out a little before then? No idea how long it'll be now but I know it's in PTR so it can't be much more than a month off.
