July 28th -Anim. Pack 1, The Poison Arrow, Aquanite, Patches

It's because you clicked it twice. There's a slight delay in the time it takes for the prayer icon to show up, so that tricks people into clicking the prayer icon multiple times in desperation, which, ironically, turns off prayer. I clicked it - waited a few seconds and nothing happened so I clicked it once more and again nothing happened. Perhaps I'll sell up the things I have, grab some ahrims, bunch of barrage/blitz runes, a dark bow and some arrows and go show those people what PKing is really about  Today's PvP update was fantastic but it's long overdue and it still doesn't fix the problem of what is a sad excuse for PKing these days. PKing hit it's prime around 2004 imo when each class was roughly balanced. I spent many many hours PKing with a few friends in high level wilderness and mage bank, not caring if I'd die and just killing anything that moved. I also enjoyed Solo PKing around Green Dragons etc. That was always a load of fun. It's when PKing turned into "Edge pking" as the only viable solo option. PKing at mage bank led you into groups of 20 maxed level people who'd take turns hitting you leaving you almost no chance to escape. It's a shame PKing is dead and it died a long time before the trade limits were put in despite what a lot of people seem to think. I admire Jagex's efforts to try and fix it but it can never be restored to it's prime and the state PvP is in now is upsetting to be honest. As a long long term player the updates this year have been appalling, last year to some extent too. I've killed all the boss monsters to death (pun not intended lol), there's no armour/weapon upgrades that I need (Whip is still the best for 95% of things) so have nothing to aim for. Training non-combat skills is pointless due to the fact that none of them have anything to aim for, there's nothing unique to any skill that can't be traded. If this game is going to have any lasting appeal then Jagex needs to add a lot more end game content, add items to skills that can ONLY be obtained by having that level in the skill and non-tradeable. I'll still stick around, I'll still keep a close eye on the game and comment on it but I'm playing very little as it is (I guess I've played maybe 10 hours in the last 2 months) and with these upgrades that Jagex are doing - while they're all very good updates that fix a lot of problems with the game, there simply is not enough content in this game. Although it has taken me about 7 year to get to that point lol. -

PvP is filled with more morons than ever now. Just went to a server, NO ONE else my level was there to PK, a bunch of morons with just 1 item and the rest with protect from melee on and dragon claws. Died due to the new interface too and the prayer not switching on in time, gf my last 1M gp. Guess I need to play more with the new interface to actually get used to it, but still there's no reason why my prayer didn't switch it both times I clicked it... =/ Guess I'll be leaving RS now as I have nothing left  -

Ok, I love that PvP update sooo much. Might make me start playing properly again -
Congrats to wave 1 of our new mod trainees!

08'ers? People whose account was made in 2008 I'm guessing. -
The spring coming off in itself is a freak incident, it's never happened before and it'll never happen again. There's a lot of things on an F1 car, any single thing could have caused it to happen or even perhaps a lot of little things.
-
Did Massa actually get a chance to do anything? I believe the moment the spring hit him he was knocked out and his feet both slammed on the brakes and the accelerator which is why his car was in full throttle as he went into the wall and continued to be for a few seconds afterwards. Either way he certainly was unconscious before he hit the tyre wall.

This is a horrid accident and he's not out of the woods yet unfortunately :( It's such a freak accident that this would never happen again even if you physically tried to replicate it, although I bet that was said after last week's accident too :( Hopefully he'll be fine, will be horrid if he doesn't make it through this, especially as he has a child on the way :(

PvP is alot less safe then you could imagine (DDOS'ing)

I've edited your post and removed the names of the people you mentioned in your post and the irc channel etc. Naming players in a negative light is not allowed. Thanks. -
Have a lot of decent gear now, just one blue left (helm). 7 213s 1 219 (Tier 8 Legs from VoA10 :D) Then 1 200 blue and the rest are 200 epics. Really need to try and get into a pug run of Ulduar 10 this week but so far nothing :(

All PMs for people that have been accepted have been sent for sure. All of the ones for people who weren't successful should also have a PM, however we did have hundreds of PMs and it's possible that somehow we missed out sending you a PM, however I can assure you that all applicants were looked at and taken into account. So we're sorry to say if you have not received a PM back yet then you have not been accepted. Only exception to this would be if you applied for the clan boards which are being dealt with separately. -

Congrats everyone  -
No Doubt <3 Shame the song in GH5 and GH Band Hero or whatever it's called are both in RB2 DLC :( Both look like crap setlists so far, not a huge Beatles fan either so no big releases for me for the rest of this year. Will have to see what RB2 DLC comes out I guess.

Gah, for the second week in a row the maintenance has been extended (and the week before it was scheduled extended). Was hoping to get a couple of hours in before I have to head out :(
-
I appear to have lost your 3 from that 30. Just means I have 0 left

I swear VoA10 attracts the worst people. After about 5 Pug attempts where most of the time it was only me and someone else doing above 2k DPS finally got in a good group which had 7 people above 2k dps including one of the tanks lol. Emalon dropped two priest gloves (gladiator + tier 8 I believe)... except we had no priest in our group :wall: Archavon dropped Hunter chest and rogue Legs, neither of which was needed. Oh well, always next week.

My thoughts with PASSWORDS and helpful info.

While this topic had good intentions to start with it's now turned into a flame fest. On top of that it has multiple people providing information which they should not be (password length etc.) for that reason I am locking this topic. Thanks. -
I just remembered I've not posted here in a while.

What is this "Oraganise" you speak of? Off the top of my head it is Runes/amulets/gems/other such things in first tab, Summoning, Slayer, Skilling stuff (hatchets/logs etc.), Currency and other consumables, Equipment, Misc Equipment. Believe that's what it was anyway, it's no longer even close to being like that lol

Ran Naxx25 today, although the server was having huge huge lag problems so had to give up 3 bosses from the end when most of the people DCed. Had 3rd overall DPS and even got highest DPS on some bosses
-
I'd expect that kind of stereotype pker mindset ignorance from certain other people on this forum, but not from an administrator. Pk'ers aren't that influential. Gravestones make Protect item useless in most PvM scenarios, yes it still has a couple of uses but there's no point having it in PvP worlds at all. I don't understand why Jagex didn't make it so instead of having it auto protect 1 item on these new worlds that instead you had to use the protect item spell. I'm not saying it's completely useless but very rarely does it make a huge difference (only thing I can really think of is soloing or if using a full barrows set). However it's main function always was PvP use
-
They might as well just remove the protect item prayer now, it's useless. Honestly don't understand why these worlds can't just allow you to use protect item (and auto-skull you), would make it worthwhile getting 25 prayer for protect item. Oh well, this is a good update anyway

3k dps is normally enough to get me highest on the DPS meter. I get more on bosses (3.5k+ normally). Anyway, finally did Naxx10 today, wasn't a bad run, had most damage done over the raid and got a few epics out of it, although no Tier 7 dropped for mages all Raid :( had enough tokens to buy Tier 7 top though which is helping a lot with mana. http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet ... =Milfamore 13 epics now, 5 of which are 213. Need to try and run Naxx25 tomorrow and get a lot of gear from that but I think I'm more than geared for it now. I didn't die a single time on any of the bosses (unless we wiped), well I did on Gluth but that's because I was kiting and wasn't getting healed enough, really needed someone else with me to help with the kiting but no one else was able to so had to do it solo. I imagine after I've run Naxx25 this week and next week I'll be roughly geared enough for Ulduar 10 atleast, I assume I'd need to have full epics and majority of which would need to be 213 before I can start running Ulduar though? So I guess it'll be a bit more than that. Would be nice to be geared for the new Raid when that comes out, but I doubt I'd be able to do that :(

Except any risk which is greater than 75k does not significantly increase your reward. Last I cared to check d scims were 100kish and whips were 1.4mish, right? I seriously doubt that using a whip will get you 14 times as many kills as you would get while using a scimitar, so the risk does not scale in a linear fashion with the reward...Risk >= Reward would be a bit more accurate, I believe. You have a very good point. But wouldn't you agree that a person using an AGS would have a better KO potential than somebody using a whip? Perhaps slightly - however with Smite you could get rid of protect prayer anyway, thus they are risking more. On top of that the whip is a lot quicker too which sort of balances the weapons out. Umm the noobs that used ags and claws had invos full of sara brews and prayer pots and all they do is prayer switch and run to the nearest safe zone wich is normaly for them about 20-100 spaces away. They would never fight anyone one spec and if they didnt get the KO then they run away. Wrong, I was talking about people who were actually using AGS to pk with, not those who jumped in halfway through a fight. Most of those people fight until they're out of food and if you got lucky yes it was possible to smite their prayer out, unlikely but still possible.
-
If someone's standing next to you with his AGS out, eager to spec you, usually people attack them because of their shiny sword. Otherwise, you should be well aware of what's going to happen when your opponent takes a break from attacking you. Melee pray. Run away. Call a friend. Do ANYTHING other than complain about having no chances of survival in that situation. If I'm fighting someone else I have most of my concentration on fighting them and most of the time the "rusher" in this case stands at the edge of the screen out of the way and most of them have protect from melee on, thus no one attacks them. There are a lot of "breaks" during a fight due to the way the combat system works, are you saying I should put protect from melee on and run away every time? No, especially as most of the times when I can be attacked is when I'm close to KOing someone so why should I have to run away. Jagex need to make it that if you've been in combat at all in the last 10 seconds (attacking or attacked another player) then you can't be attacked until after those 10 seconds. It's not that difficult to be aware of your surroundings. It's only hard when there's dozens of people around you... in which case the dozens of others are usually keeping an eye on those with expensive PJing gear. My point is, there aren't any situations like this in which you have a 0% chances of survival. If there were, then everybody would be exploiting that (granted, people exploit the system and unprepared people die anyway). Plus, people ambushing you with an AGS in the middle of the fight should occur less and less after these updates. Why will it be occurring less? Perhaps ever so slightly but most of the people that did it previously did so with protect melee on, they're going to be still be doing that with the same chance of death as they had previously. Don't think I've ever seen a claws/AGS rusher get killed before this update and doubt it will happen now after. People are still going to be doing it and there's nothing you can do to stop them other than getting lucky with what they hit on you.
