so i ended up maging them, it took on average 20 deaths to kill each giant. i also brought along a yew short and steel arrows for backup, the kills were slow but not annoyingly so. thanks for the advice!

does that advice still stand if i only have death runes? no bloods right now...

hey here's my stats: combat 82 att 70 str 67 def 71 range 46 mage 68 prayer 45 and i just got a fire giant slayer task. i'm probably going to baxtorian falls, and my goal is to stay there as long as possible, which is why i'm asking for advice. i don't mind training range on them, but i'm guessing with 46 range that would be slow. i've got runes to mage them, but not sure if there's any good spots to mage from in the falls. i've got a whip and a d scim, i thought the whip would be faster kills, but with d scim i could train str. does anybody have an opinion on best plan of attack for me? i feel i may have to make alot of bank runs. most ppl i know that train on fire giants are much higher stats than me....also any advice on fast transportation/banking runs would be appreciated. (deuling ring tele to cw bank, games necklace tele to barbarian, walk down to falls?) thanks! --m

anyone know a way to be a monkey outside ape atoll? i thought of taking a teleport tablet with me to ape atoll, becoming a monkey, then smashing the teleport tablet? jagex has probably already thought of that. i do remember seeing someone as a huge gorilla at edgy wild one day, and it *freaked* me out! cool! i wanna do it.

there is a new, clever as heck, account scam. it works like this: a person says they're quitting rs and gives you their pass. you say thanks, change the pass on the account, try to set the recovery questions, then log into the account and find out it's a sweet pk'ing account with really good stats, but only clothing in the bank. the person is hoping you will put a bunch of good items or money on the account because you're excited to play such a good character. they then use the pass recovery system to get the account back (you'd be suprised how fast they can do it, only takes a few hours), and if you put anything in the bank or on the character, you lose it. i almost fell for this, but i didn't put anything on the account. while checking out the character, i got pm'ed by someone who did get scammed but only lost 30 lobs. they even pk'ed with the account for 4 hours before it got taken away from them.

i've tried using a gamepad (via joy2key) for camera controls and also assigning the ctrl key to one of the LR buttons for running, and used this setup in the wild. then you have the gamepad in your left hand, mouse in the right. it's nice and comfortable, and you can drop the gamepad if you want to type to someone, but in the end i just went back to keyboard & mouse.
