  1. You too? We must be brothers. You better not fall asleep or I'm going to punch you right in the face
  2. I have friends who are maxed in all skills and still hold down very respectable jobs. I, myself, am close to maxed in all skills. Does that make me a no-life? What is 'no-lifing', by definition? Someone who is good at the game? Because that's the common misconception amongst many young RS players; You cannot have high skills without no-lifing. That being said, I don't see where it's anyone elses business what somebody does with their life. I've done my share of no-lifing. The majority of players in any MMORPG have. If you're arrogant and pretentious enough to look down your nose at somebody, for not living as you deem fit, you should examine your own life. I'm sure you'll find many, many places where you can grow and excel from where you're lacking.
  3. This was very well put. I agree whole-heartedly with stormveritas's stance here. Although if looked at from a deeper, more psychological point of view (mostly talking to the older folks on the forum), the qualities mentioned "condescending attitudes, arrogant elitist, mean," in which these pseudo-intellectuals -trolls- hold so close to heart, are obvious internet facades. I can understand not being a flower-child, tree-hugging bubble-blower with the naive thought process that everything is inherently good; But from what I've seen on every forum I attend recently (not ust RuneScape related), the maturity levels are dropping very rapidly. This is substantiated in-game, as well. Again, not just RuneScape. It's my thought that it's not so much people are becomming more immature, it's that the more immature people -children mostly- are becomming more abundant. I agree that something should be done. Possibly harsher penalties for stepping out of line.
  4. It's not made of stone though, it's made of onyx. The enchantment on the ring is what gives the ring its name. Worse still, if this onyx ring gave defense bonuses comparable to other stone armor we have--namely granite--would you call it even superior to a Warrior Ring? Or even a Diamond Ring (i)? Most likely not, especially considering the price tag for it. The biggest hindrance to changing this ring is the materials used to make it. Putting effort into reworking this item, like they had with the Regen Brace, seems like wasted effort. I could even have a problem understanding whether or not a graphical update would be sensible, since the old mining rock style is still around as decoration. Not to go too off-topic, but RS isn't exactly meant to be realistic. Just think: Magic, firemaking with a box, and the quest Perils of Ice Mountain, none of which occur in our world. Furthermore, as with our current rings, they aren't directly hit, and are, at the same time, enchanted magically to hold properties it wouldn't normally have had. This seems perfect to me. Off-topic: Your firemaking-in-a-box logic is flawed. Back before matches or lighters people actually used what's called 'flint and steel', in which they would keep pieces of charred cloth and frayed rope/birch bark in a tiny box, along with a piece of steel (which resembles brass knuckles) and a piece of flint stone. It took skill and precision but, striking the steel against the flint stone whilst thumbing a piece of charred cloth, would create a spark which would catch on the cloth and then be able to be turned into fire. On-topic: This ring needs an update. I remember buying them when they first came out, in hopes an update would come so I could merch them. Hahah, 6+ years later... I honestly can't tell if this is even a serious post. It's almost as if you're trying to argue over something so stupid, you just want attention. Anyone with the reading comprehension of a 12 year old could, quite clearly, understand the meaning of my post without feeling the need to pointlessly flame over an over-analysis of a phrase I said. You know the thread, "What happened to this community?" This is the kind of horrible post it's addressing. Lurk more. Please, feel free to show me a fire being lit purely by dropping the contents of a box onto firewood. Hmg not possible? Better over analyze this post too! My "logic" that I supposedly need to deduce common sense must be flawed[/sarcasm]. Sigh. Why are the majority of runescape players so sensitive? There was no need to make an entirely off topic post to address me. If pointing our the fact that a tinder box is historically accurate, is considered flaming in your eyes, I would hate to see how you respond to trolls. I was merely educating you on something you did not know exists. instead of being hostile and standoff'ish, you should thank me for shedding some light on a subject for you. As far as "dropping a box" goes, it's a game, fool. They obviously aren't going to go through the whole process, that would be absurd. please, calm down and just relax. No ones going to steal your cookies.

  6. Ted. My, my.. I did not expect to see you here. How have you been, man??? Anyhow, I'm curious as to how the dragon defender will upset the combat system. I haven't been on in a while, but I can only imagine what people are griping about these days.
  7. Looks legit. Thank you, sir. Sorry for the confusion.
  8. Well, hello there Tip.It users. I guess this is a re-introduction of sorts (I'm hoping this is in the right section, considering it said to introduce yourself). Anyhow, I've been playing RuneScape off and on for the better part of 9 years. I recently took a one year hiatus and am now attempting my triumphant (yeah right) return. The last time I posted on these forums I was a snotty little teenager with a net ego the size of Africa. Haha. At any rate, I hope to become an active member again on RuneScape and, as such, on Tip.It.
  9. These first ones are just this week/tonight ^^ My first win off him. Went on with him for 2 or 3 more stakes until he walked away. ^^ One of the other stakes from him. ^^ You can see the ring and fury in my inventory. I staked 1M for the boots before this and he won I won them back with my 1m, lol. ^^ Well known staker. I got first hit and beasted him for 24 24 22 on the first 3 hits, lol. Called me sad.. Funny, but meh.. I got your pixels. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Below This Line Are Older Ones.. Just A Few! ^^ The red squares are other things I won off him. SWAMPTHING38 - PATHETIC WALL OF SHAME! He tried putting on gloves, ect.. Well, I caught him first time. I won 10m off him, we restake and he does this.. SAD. Oh well, I'm still up. Good job loser. (He's wearing a Torag helm by the way..) Just one PK: Yes, I have a tele tab.. I skull with dharoks/whip and there are TONS of 1 items that barrage.
  10. I digress. RSC pures were not judged on their magic levels, although your magic level could infact make you impure due to raising your combat above your hitpoints. But pures were judged on their hit point levels being so much above their combat level. there were still 'defence pures' in RSC. They were addy pures/plate pures, ect. Defence is not a factor in being 'pure'- your hitpoints is all that mattered. That is not the case now (With the onslaught of Pest Control 'pures'). I just thought I'd clear that up. As for the arguing: What's the point? It's ridiculous and serves no purpose. Your gallery is mediocre at best. And if bones got defence because he couldn't hack it being pure, so-be-it. Who are you to judge?
