dont stake or pk. youll get owned (no offence). make a def pure if you want to stake or a str pure to pk. unless your pking or staking for fun, your gona loose bigtime.

This is all centered around you. You were very lucky (or clever) to avoid being killed at that level. But if you're unsure of yourself or if you are looking for a quick fix, then the Barrows is not for you. i think skillful is the word =P. no such thing as luck (unless, ofcourse your talking about my guthats plate drop) when it comes to combat. but honestly its not THAT hard xd also everyone crowds around you wating for you to die. its kinda funny.

Ok, so using Prayer on 5 out of 6 brothers won't waste you money? Since you're not using Slayer Dart then you'll have to use modern or ancient mage. Both will be expensive, particularly Ancients. Not to mention the high risk of dying due to your low combat level. Due to your Defence level, the finding of the chest will be very annoying as you can expect to take a lot of damage from the monsters. 1. fire bolt is 60 gp per cast + chaos gaunts = a ton of 15's. also when using fire bolt you get chaos runes from the chest EVERY SINGLE time (atleast i did) 2. after his first few trips he should be able to cut it down to 3 prayer pots per trip (i did) 3. with a kc of 11 (thats preety much ideal because youll basically get your runes back) thats only about 1 or 2 lobs. wearing full rune your enemies will hit you only a few times; you will never receive 'alot' of damage (as long as your only killing the rats and such, higher level monsters do not increase your kc more) 4. as long as his IQ is above 10, finding the chest is not hard. all you do is run around until you find a door leading inward, then repeat that. 5. at the same exact level as him, i never died and made a profit off runes. i also ended up with guthans plate on 12th then quit for a bit. 6. his range + mage are much higher then mine, and he has 50 prayer, leading to a faster ahrim kill time and less prayer pots wasted. done correctly, he should be able to cut it down to mabye even 2 and 1/2 pots per trip. since his stats are much better then mine when i did barrows, he wont have trouble unless hes just downright bad at autocasting and digging crypts...

lol rofl :roll: . dont listen to him he doesnt know what hes talking about, even if he does have 90 mage. ps: if you actually calculated the runes + racks, you end up with a profit even without a barows item :roll: . also dont pray on torag. i did barows at exactly your lvl and managed to not pray on torag every trip. same defence too. just bring 3 sharks or so for him. pray on him your first few trips tho, until you feel comfortable not praying on him. wear full rune + kite + your farseer helm while fighting him.

there is where yopur completely wrong. personally i use fire bolt, and i get back every single chaos. the spell only costs 60gp for me. i use chaos gaunts. barows is not hard at all without slayer dart . and it wont cost you alot of money if you dont use slayer dart either. i dont know where you got that from. yes, go for it, barrows is EXTREMELY easy. slayer dart doesnt increase your chances of getting a barrows item either...

us americans dont say ch because it doesnt fit in our language, not because were lazy. if we had the ch sound (that of the europeans) then our language wouldnt be balanced. it would throw an accent that isnt coordinated with the other sounds in there. wed have like all oranges and then bam an apple!

.im planning on making my current main a staker. all i need is 70 def before hes 70,70,70. im planning to also get him 94 mage and 70 range. which would be more beneficial to staking: 99 defence, 70 atk, and 70 str or 99 str, 70 atk, and 70 defence. currently im not considering changing the other two 70's, unless your an experienced staker that can convince me otherwise :wink: .

interesting point mentioning that pros come from college. but like mr putter said, if they dont make pro they go work at a fast food place half of the time. sadly thats 100% true. so i think that when they are in college, they not only play for love, but play so that mabye they wont be making min. wage, which gives a dobule motivation wammy. i guess that explains the college to pro transfer.

mage + range + def. because pking is not a good way to make money cause youll only be pking other pures. staking, on the other hand, is a much, much better way to make money if you are skilled enough (its NOT luck!!!!!). plus staking is much more in-depth. for pking with pures theres only a few methods. however staking is your own personal compiliation. inventories are much different, and so are stratagies. if you disagree with me look at the avg. pure pking invo: a super set, d scim\whip, dds, and a bunch of sharks and runes. personally i think youll have alot more fun staking, but if you want to make a pking pure then do mage + str.

actually, id go with the small rares. a purple is what 90m? then this is how I would divide it up for max profit: mask set = 40m about 6 santas = 48m. or 2 blue masks and a red. or, which i think would be the best, 1 santa, 1 blue, and 1 red. say santas increase 100k ea in a week = 600k. plus a mask set may increase possible 1m a week which equals 1.6m possible a week. ofcourse masks do increase more. there was a 1.5m jump in greens (im NOT talking about the giant santa/mask jump) a few weeks ago. so the combined increase of all these would definitely be greater then that of a single rare. Also, these rares spread your peices throught the board, which gives you a giant advantage

actually your calculations are incorrect. you forgot runes and bolt racks. you have actually probably made an 100%-150% profit on runes compared to prayer pots total. when i did a simple 10 barrows runs i came out with 70k+ profit just from the runes.

sorry, but there is NO solution to inflation. it is a natural occurance in the economy. im not only talking about the rs economy, but im talking about real life economy also.

im 70 str. im almost at 70 def also. im already 70 atk. im planning to get somewhere along the lines of 90 strength with 70 atk and defence. i hate training with dragon weapons, and since i cant str trian with a whip, im stuck. dharocks is too risky for me. plus prayer pots are like 10k each and i dont have that kind of money. are there any alternatives to dragon weapons for str training. i currently use d scimmy, but i really want to use barrows armor. is full veracs a good idea? or is dharocks with higher then 25 hp a good idea?
