I expect a lot of people are getting smoke, an image on the BBC site. Although, according to my really rough geography of US states, isn't Nevada to the west of California? Sorry if I'm wrong, we don't get taught the where-abouts of your states.I live in Nevada and we're getting smoke from the fires here even. My cousin has had to evacuate her large "payed by disability funds" house. Which does not matter to me, but it scares be because I have several family members in Southern California. I hope they get these out soon. -

The Nobel Prize-winning DNA pioneer James Watson has been suspended by his research institution in the US.
Dr Watson has drawn severe criticism over remarks he made in a British newspaper at the weekend.
In the interview, he was quoted as saying Africans were less intelligent than Europeans.
The Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory had already distanced itself from the scientist's comments but its trustee board has now suspended him.
A statement from the Long Island, New York, institution said the action was being taken "pending further deliberation by the board".
Unreserved apology
Dr Watson was due to give a lecture at the Science Museum in London on Friday as part of a book tour. But the museum cancelled the event, saying the scientist had gone beyond the point of acceptable debate.
The Bristol Festival of Ideas has also cancelled an appearance by Dr Watson.
And further critical comment of Dr Watson's views has come from Dr Craig Venter, the scientist/businessman who led the private effort to decode the human genome, and who, by coincidence, is also visiting the UK to promote a book.
"Skin colour as a surrogate for race is a social concept not a scientific one," Dr Venter said. "There is no basis in scientific fact or in the human genetic code for the notion that skin colour will be predictive of intelligence."

In his Sunday Times interview, Dr Watson was quoted as saying he was "inherently gloomy about the prospect of Africa" because "all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours - whereas all the testing says not really".
He was further quoted as saying that his hope was that everyone was equal but that "people who have to deal with black employees find this is not true".
The scientist has since said that the way the words were presented did not reflect properly his position.
"I can certainly understand why people, reading those words, have reacted in the ways they have," he said.
"To all those who have drawn the inference from my words that Africa, as a continent, is somehow genetically inferior, I can only apologise unreservedly.
"That is not what I meant. More importantly from my point of view, there is no scientific basis for such a belief."

And in comments published in The Independent newspaper on Friday, Dr Watson tries to clarify his position.
"We do not yet adequately understand the way in which the different environments in the world have selected over time the genes which determine our capacity to do different things," he is quoted as saying. "The overwhelming desire of society today is to assume that equal powers of reason are a universal heritage of humanity.
"It may well be. But simply wanting this to be the case is not enough. This is not science. To question this is not to give in to racism. This is not a discussion about superiority or inferiority, it is about seeking to understand differences, about why some of us are great musicians and others great engineers."
Dr Watson was a joint winner in 1962 of the Nobel Prize for discovering the structure of DNA, the molecule that lies at the heart of heredity in living organisms.
When, some 40 years later, Dr Venter and colleagues were finally able to read all of the DNA in our cells, they concluded the concept of race could not easily be described by our genetics.
Venter and his team pointed to the fact that people from different racial groups could be more genetically similar than individuals within the same group. Genetic studies show that there is more variability in the gene pool in Africa, than outside.

Yeah it was just hypothetical. China has allies as well you know...North Korea, some parts of Asia, some of the Middle East would help if it was against the US.chinas has quite a bit more troops than us but they could never defeat us unless they got some serious help cause we got Great Britain on our side and many other countries who would fight along side us in time of war but i dont think there will be another war cause the U.S. would prolly go under considering how bad our economy is and the leadership -
You are thinking of China as a lot less powerful that it actually is. They have a lot of nukes, a lot more troops, tanks, weapons, etc.

Yes but having more nukes is like having more muscle. Would you run at a NFL line man(U.S) if you were bill gates or someone(China). It's not smart to do that.

China may have unlimited troops but they arn't as well trained as the U.S troops. Also if China ever tries anything the U.S would have soo many allies against them it wouldn't be funny.

Mike, not many BB guns are used in robberies and you can easily tell if it's a BB gun or a real gun.
The 1979 Red Rider I have can shot rocks+metal BB's and will penitrate the skin. If i hit anyone in the right place I could seriously injure and or kill them.*
Also the Red Riders in 1979 look excatly like a rifle from 1979 so obviously someone would get scared.
*In 1979 the U.S had lose BB gun laws and the power of so was not limited. Also in 1979 the BB gun was for shoting cans not people.
Britain didn't go into Vietnam, so that's not as much as a problem here.

Yeah but when airsofting you should wear the safety googles, I do when I'm using pistol, either that or sunglasses. I'm pretty sure that any rifle or shotgun you buy comes with a set of safety googles (not pistols).
Btw yeah the 0.2g are awesome, when I went against my cousin I gave him my two pistols and I took the shotgun. As soon as we started he jumped for cover behind an upturned table, as I started shooting I hear him yelling 'Ahhh stop this s***', I was blowing chips off the plastic garden table and scaring the hell out of him :D

Yeah In use 0.2g BBs as well. Funny because you said you have been shot yet you still say things like:Hey baron8000 just before you post again, have you ever had a BB gun or been shot by one?I have 2, was shot by one by my cousin 2 weeks ago (in the leg and kidney, white, slightly heavier BBs).
On the same topic I've also shot paintball, real pistols (although rarely) but my real preference was for my 18-bore shotgun (which unfortunately had to be destroyed recently, which now means I have to use rented guns, #-o :notalk: ) for clay pigeon shooting (as mentioned before).
You should know they just sting, they do not maim or kill....do you think something that can (as we've been through) maim, if not kill... -

I think they left ammo on just so they don't completely ruin airsofting. If you don't believe me check this site that used to have a couple of hundred different types of gun on (I've brought from here)That's odd that you can buy the ammo online but not the guns themselves. An unloaded gun is useless... they should take the ammo off the internet as well. Just my opinion. -
And if they stop? If the two start competing for scare resources or fuels like petrol and gas when they start to run out? Anyway as I said, just a feeling...Not sure when but when I think when they do become a superpower they will war with America which will start another world war, just a feeling...Why would they want to go to war with the US? We buy all their cheaply made goods.
