I'm back! This is not a bump of an old topic, it's still new and I'm going to start trying again. During the summer, I lost the ability to play because the only computer I could play on got it's hard drive wiped, and it took a month to fix. It still doesn't play Runescape, but I got a brand new computer with XP and all the good stuff. So I'm back! This is also why I haven't been posting lately. Wish me luck!

My first job was to get a job... -.- Well, I'm still working at my first job, because I'm not in college yet (Only a Junior). I work at Schnuck's. As a bagger. I also have the privilege of pushing carts back inside from the parking lot.

I'm about to do the fight caves again, and I hate saradomin brews, so I'm thinking of bringing sharks. Is this a good idea? And can someone explain to me why saradomin brews are popular for this?

Metroid Prime Hunters-Anyone play? (Animal Crossing Too)
beniscool218 replied to French's topic in Off-Topic
I have had Metroid Prime Hunters for a while now, and I have a wireless router, but WiFi still doesn't work. I love the game, and since my little brother has a DS too, we can do download play, and that's sorta fun. I think the story is kind of diluted, because there really isn't too much of a background in it, and what you are doing doesn't really have an explanation. It's still fun though, but I'm stuck on a level, so I'm taking a break. -
Wrong forum buddy. Try "Help & Advice".

Actually it would be extremely easy and would look something like this: If targetMonster.isSlayerTask() { targetMonster.setDropGem(true); } ----- The downside to this suggestion is that sometimes a person would want a long slayer task; I know that I love getting large tasks of fire giants and lesser demons because they are easy to kill, and I wind up with alot of slayer exp. Well, actually, the tasks are still numbered, and you can get the drop and finish the numbered task. But you can only finish the task with one (e.g. You get 150 lesser demons as a task, and after 10 kills you get the drop. The task isn't over until you've turned in the gem, or you've killed 150. You still get slayer xp, until the task is over, you just now have an option to end it earlier.

I am very happy, and very pleased with this week of hard work. Now comes the test... I have studied fight cave guides (specifically muggi's) for the past week, and have found out the secrets of the fight caves. I am buying the required potions that the guide has specified, and am watching the videos again to make sure I have everything down. Tomorrow is the day I will make my first attempt. Below are pictures of my stats, what I'm bringing on my trip, and what I have equiped. I am determined to do this. I will do this! I will get the fire cape!!! Stats: Inventory: Equipped: This is what I am going in with, and I hope I am coming out with a fire cape. I'll post again tomorrow, hopefully showing off my new fire cape, but also giving details of the trip. I may even post a video of it. Wish me luck on my first attempt! Day 2: Today is the day I will make my first attempt at the fight caves. I watched muggi's "Completing Fight Caves W/o Guthan" videos again for the 5th, making sure the patterns and the tricks are glued in my head. After reading the posts, however, I have decided to postpone the first attempt in order to get some arrows with more power. Thanks to DegenerateX, I have made the decisions to go fight some ankous and get some adamant arrows. I will be doing this for the next hour, and hopeful I'll have over 1.5k adamant arrows. I managed to get 1k arrows, and am ready to do the fight caves. I am going for the first attempt now. Wish me luck! ... I just made my attempt, and while recording it, the video got too long, so I had to make another one to continue it. Well, someone told me that when you log out after a wave, it saves your progress. It doesn't!!! Now I have to do it all over again, lucky for me! Here you can see the first part of it where I was actually doing ok. Now I need to restock (which will be easy), and I need to get another c bow. Wonderful. Well wish me luck on my 1 and a half attempt. Ha ha, that's clever! \ Back to work! Here's the video \/ \/ \/ (Having Trouble Uploading, will be done soon) Day 3: I have the materials ready again, and I'm off for attempt 1 and a half (\)! I have the time now to do it all in one sitting, so I think if I'm ever going to do it, now is the time. Wish me luck! I made my first attempt, and was about to be on the wave where there are 2 lvl 180's, but when I killed the lvl 90's and 180 spawned where it could attack me right in the middle of Italy. I tried to run and move it out of the way but it didn't work, and the 180 hit a 23 and then a 19 before I could heal. Bad luck for me, but that won't stop me from trying again. I'm gonna get my supplies and stocked up again and go for attempt #1. Horrible luck... Wish me luck on my next attempt! Below are the videos for the waves I completed. Oh well... I got another crystal bow, this time full, and I have a mage bow with adamant arrows. I should do better this time, having learned from my mistakes previously. Below are pictures of my inventory, what I have equipped, and my stats, for attempt #2 at the fight caves. Inventory: Equipped: Stats: This is what I have for attempt #2. I'm feeling lucky this time! I was doing so well! I was on pace! I had everything under control! What could go wrong!? A glitch!!! I was fighting the 360, with 26 prayer left, and then two 45's come. I accidentally click to attack one, with prayer still on, and the 360 hits a 26 and kills me! What is this!? I mean seriously! I think I may just end this idea now if glitches like this are going to occur... I was doing so well... I will try to upload the video of the glitch so you can see what I mean. Man that's annoying!!! After reviewing the video, I have realized what happened. Apparently the 360's can use melee too, I didn't realize that. I got too close and it attacked me. Oh well... Later I'll decide if I'm going to make another attempt. I am doing better in my attempts, but so far I am not getting near close enough. I need to step it up a little bit, and really focus. Today I may try one more time if I can restock fast enough. Day 4: I didn't have enough time to restock and make another attempt last night, so now I am going this morning. I have the materials ready for another attempt and I am just getting mentally prepared at the moment. In all of my past attempts I have made some fatal mistake that made me lose, and now I have learned from it. I have been making it farther each time, so I hope to make to at least Wave 45. I made it to Wave 44, so I'm not too terribly disappointed. I know I can do better, so I'm going to make some more changes before my next attempt. Instead of Saradomin Brews, I'm just going to bring sharks, because the Saradomin Brews are just too much of a hassle, reduce my stats, which wastes doses of super restores and range potions. If this is the wrong thing to do, please inform me of this before I make my attempt, because currently, this is the plan. I hope I can make it to Jad in the next attempt. Day 6: I didn't have time to play yesterday, so I'm going to make my next attempt today. I don't know what I'm going to sell to get 2 c bows, but I have to decided now... I have a whip, a dragon square, and some other fairly valuable things. I just don't know what to sell... Since I don't profit from this, I don't know how many more times I can try before I am left with nothing. Well, time for attempt number 4, which I hope I can make it Jad. I have restocked, and have everything I need for another attempt. This time, I've made some changes. Instead of 1 full c bow, and a mage bow and some arrows, I have 2 full c bows, 18 super restores, 3 range potions, and 2 saradomin brews, with 3 lobsters, and a shark. I hate saradomin brews, so this is what I'm going with. Below are the pictures of what I have with me, and what I have equipped for attempt number 4 (stats are the same). Equipped: Inventory: I hope I will have the best run yet on this attempt, and hopefully make it to Jad. Here we go! Day 7: I didn't have enough time to finish my run at the fight caves, so I logged out at a wave with a 360 and a 45. I hope it saved my progress, and I hope I don't get 1 hitted before I can put my prayer on. On another note, I need to refine my knowledge of what to do with a 360, a 180, and a 90. To do this, I'm going to watch muggi's video again, and then I'm going to continue my run. I am so dumb... I didn't realize how much health sara brews restored, and I ran out of food and sara brews at the end, so I couldn't heal myself with 2 lvl 90's and a 360. I could have made it so much farther... On a better note, I have enough materials for another run, so I can try it one to two more times, and hopefully, I can at least make it to jad. This attempt was very disappointing, and I'm angry with myself for not taking sara brews... Oh well, all I can hope for now is a successfull 5th attempt. I don't know when I'll make another attempt, but I hope sometime today, maybe not. I am starting to become frustrated, and I may just give up soon. I'm running out of things to sell to get the money for the materials, but right now, this is the plan: This is the final thing I am going to do in Runescape. I am tired of the game, and there aren't enough fun things to do, and I just feel I need to quit. It is a game that distracts me from my schoolwork, and I feel it is time to end this. I need to focus on school, not Runescape, so it is time to quit. Once the summer is over, I will lay my account to rest. I will still be active on the forums, but no longer on Runescape. All I want to do before I quit, is get a firecape, and purchase a small rare that I hope will raise in price. So, right now, my main focus is a fire cape. Once I get that, and I still have enough money left, I will buy an easter egg, and then I will be done. That is the plan. Day 8: Well, since I didn't have time to do another run yesterday, I am going to do it now. I have enough materials for 2 more runs, then I will have to make some more money before I can try again. Well, here we go again! I made it to Wave 34 so far, but I have to stop. I will continue this attempt tomorrow, hopefully making it to Jad.

Thanks!

I am trying to get a fire cape, and to do so I need to buy saradomin brews. All I need to know is how much these buy and sell for, and I'll be set. Thanks!

Cya, and good luck with life and WoW. Just a quick question: will you still be active on the forums, or are you just quitting everything?

Hey, uh, you wanna train range levels? With mine you get to experience all those levels over again, and have that great sense of accomplish twice!  Well, anyway, I'm a wannabe ranger, and this post right here is my inspiration to become a good ranger, and slayer. Sweet job on the goals, and good luck with any other goals you have. :D

A Background I have been training slayer recently, and while doing so, I began to think about what slayer actually was. It was a skill designed to help you raise your combat, obviously; but what else was it? "Slayer" can mean just a person killing monsters, or in a way it can mean a bounty hunter. This is where my idea comes in... The Update My idea is that slayer should be more "bounty hunter"-esque oriented. For example, you receive a normal task of monsters (with a number), and now, the slayer master also names a special gem/item, which you can show to the slayer master, and you can receive money. Now you go to the monster's location. Then, once you start killing them, you have options. You can either kill the monster until you have finished the numbered task, or you can kill them until you get the gem/item. Doing either one of these finishes your task. However, there is more to the gem/item system. To answer an obvious question,"Well, can't you just kill different monsters until you get their special gem/item, then just show it to the slayer master?" The answer to this is simple. Jagex should have the technology to only allow the special object to be dropped when you have the monster as a task. This should answer that question. But now your asking,"But why does this make it any better?" Well, I have come up with a solution to that too. By continuing killing the monster until you have the special gem/item, and receiving this item, you can them turn it into the slayer master for a "Slayer Point". This is similar to Pest Control. You can keep turning in the gems/items until you want to spend the points, then which you can use them to gain experience in any combat skill (including slayer!). So, by killing the monster until you get the certain gem/item, you can show it to the slayer master for money, *OR* you can turn it into a "Slayer Point". Conclusion By doing this, all that is being accomplished, is putting a little spin on the slayer skill, and making it a bit more fun and profitable. *Note: You cannot get money and experience from a single gem/item. Well, I liked this idea, and I hope you will too. Just say if you agree, and I will put your name on the petition below. Thanks! Slayer Update Petition: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

I am not going to recommend a type of laptop, because I don't really know much about each type of computer, but I will say something about Dell... Don't get a Dell! The laptops are terrible, and a couple of my friends have had terrible experiences with Dell laptops. One of them bought one, and after 2 months, it began to crash, almost to the point where you couldn't use it for 15 minutes without it freezing and then shutting down. Then, when it couldn't be fixed, and they got rid of it, they decided that they would get another laptop. And for some reason they got another Dell... They have had it for a year now, and apparently they all hate it for some reason, and are very angry with it. If you get a laptop, just don't get a Dell.

I was actually just about to make a topic on this, when I saw your post! Lately when I've been doing things, I've noticed patterns in my random events. I'll list them below. Mini-Games: Never get random events About to teleport from metal dragon cave: All different types Killing Otherworldly Beings: Mime Cooking in Rogues' Den: Mysterious Old Man Killing Blue Dragons: Pete (?) The one where you have to light candles. So far, I've noticed distinct patterns doing these things. I think we may be on to something!

Even though my slayer isn't too high, it's still very fun. I enjoy it because while training this skill, you can also train any combat skill. So you can raise 2 skills, by only killing only 1 monster! That's why I like it.

Problem With Uploading Videos on my Site
beniscool218 replied to beniscool218's topic in Tech and Computers
I know for sure it has nothing to do with it's file size, because I read through the instructions thoroughly, to make sure I had the right sized file. And I only have one browser, which is Internet Explorer, and right now I don't think I'll be able to download another one. -
Problem With Uploading Videos on my Site
beniscool218 replied to beniscool218's topic in Tech and Computers
Well, that could work, but unfortunately my friend with the best computer is at camp in Wisconsin and won't be back until September (Dalcyte). My other friend with a good computer has been out of contact for like 2 weeks, and my third friend with a good computer, lives an hour away from me, and that's just too much time to just go there and fix my website.
