  1. Hey there, Recently there has been some changes to certain weapon skins, such as the godsword, whip, Zamorak Spear, Saradomin Sword etc. I have enjoyed most of these changes, but two I am not happy at all with, just like many other players. The Dragon scimitar and longsword. I propose a skin change for these weapons, to make them longer and not look so alike. Here is a quick version of what the scimitar would look like in my eyes. Clicky-Clicky for better view: I may do another one for the dragon long when I come up with an original idea for it. Currently I am thinking of a long sword, that has a dragon mouth from the handle and the blade coming out of its mouth. Anyway, post what you think!
  2. Yes you can do a lot of what I posted in the current version, that is true. But the current version sucks. It is way too easy. It also gives too much of an unfair advantage to teams and clans. This is a version for the single player that wants to look at the high scores and see how they are honestly doing against others that actually earn their levels as well. Instead of doing their own work and losing places every day because thousands of people just buy their levels. They buy their levels because making money in the game is too easy especially for those in a clan or that team up with others. Jagex wastes their own time on ignorant garbage like the in game music, or the constant pointless and usually moronic changing of the interface. Personally I don't really care if they come out with this version or not. I am just pointing out that it is what I would like to play. This crap that they have now is ridiculous. I used to play for over 70 hours a week. The last two weeks I have played for a total of about 15 hours and that just because I really didn't have anything else to do. I actually wish that I had not just recently payed for 3 more months. Imo, that is just sad. What the hell are you doing with your life if all you do is play Runescape? Hopefully this 'small' 15 hour week has shown you that there is more to life than Runescape. Runescape is a game, not a life goal to get all 99's. Wastes time on music? Well I am soooooo very sorry that some people might actually like it... BTW, I am still struggling to see the crap? I am betting you that if this was a forced game change, over 4/5 of the community would quit.
  3. Exactly. -65 is low, 75 medium, 85+ high imo, Jagex does not need to serve the small proportion of players (20k) that have 90 slayer. Stop being selfish, all it is that is wanted is a high slayer monster that drops rare items that will have a massive sale price due to small amounts of possible item extraction from the slayer skill. If you get bored with slayer, go do something else in Runescape or maybe even....dare I say.... in real life. Just don't complain. Notice that I am semi-retired.... Anyway, once again, it is a them and us situation, just like F2p vs. P2P opinions. This time the minority want high lvl slayer monster, but how about we say that if this lvl 78 requirement monster boosts the numbers of people with LOW (lower than 65) lvl slayer to reach this MID (75) lvl, then maybe, just maybe, Jagex might then add another one a few weeks/months later. They then repeat this process until sufficient numbers of players have slayer high enough that it is not some tiny minority of player that cry for more, but a influential part of the community. 20k players people, 20k. You could all walk from the game and the game would still be strong. It would suffer (the in game economics), but the game would still go on. I don't hear uproar from these skills: Prayer: most usefull thing is lvl 70, no new bones can be buried at anytime. Players lvl 90+ 15,000 Herblore: Caps at 82 highest item. Players lvl 90+ 5,000 Farming: 83 highest item. Players lvl 90+ 9,000 Runecrafting: Max is 92 with double nats - note, does not get them extra xp. Players 90+ 6,000 Still waiting for any argument against this marvelous idea Punitive D had (refer to red text). Members pay for the available service, not the right to tell Jagex what to do. We are lucky enough we can influence decisions, or even make them (the name). It is like buying some milk from the store, and then demanding the manufacture to make it chocolate milk because the normal milk does not have enough sugar. Remember, skills need room to grow, they always become easier as time goes on. Just look that the jump between RS classic and today.

  5. Abyssal whip is 4, Godsword is 3, Dharok's Axe is 2, and I think that the fastest (darts) is 7. according to wikia abyssal whip's speed - 6 , so it attacks every 2.4 seconds (6 sec - 0,6xspeed) GodSword - 4 , so it attacks every 3.6 seconds Dharok's Axe - 3 , every 4.2 seconds and the darts is indeed 7 , so it attacks every 1.8 seconds Thanks, I was going by memory, and mine isn't the best. I only got one right; too bad. Think of how much fun (and unbalanced) a weapon with a speed of 10 would be (server crashes due to an infinite loop, maybe?) Cannon! You can see that it has the infinite ability, just that it does not have infinite targets/ammo.
  6. That is what I am asking! All you need to tell us is your detailed methods + the final results. Then no one can flame you. I should not have to pick through the 76 pages of posts to find the few bits that I want to see. Adding your detailed methods + the final results would mean you get intelligent arguments.... think about it.
  7. I give up, I doubt many people would agree with you of your expectations. How do you think posting your results will = a flame war? Once you have your facts, and someone has theirs, there is no arguing with the better (method except for variables)
  8. Because I would have to read it all, taking at least a week of my time (don't get to go on that much). If I was in the same situation as you, I would have been fine, tho I might not have much time on the internet each day, it only so many posts can be made. So it is easy to keep up with, unlike now. I am not THAT dedicated to read the entire thread. PLUS, it is kind of expected that you read most of the responses to your thread. I just can't understand how you think it is logical for everyone that wants to respond to read your entire thread.
  9. I did it. Why should I bother responding to them if they can't bother reading my responses? You did what? Went through your entire post? You were able to as you were here when it was made and were able to keep track of it. The ones that want the stats have not been here the entire time. If you mean that you went and read through 75 pages on someone else thread, and arrived at the 60th page whereabouts, I have to say, you have much to much time on your hands.
  10. Can't you see that no one in their right mind would/could/should ever go through 75 pages of: [*:28sod21d]Statistics [*:28sod21d]Logical explanations [*:28sod21d]Flame wars and [*:28sod21d]Mindless gibberish How could you expect anyone to do that? I doubt you would ever do it if it was not your topic and you had arrived at the 60th page of posting.
  11. Yeah, I'm afraid you really didn't read much of anything. I love the skill, it's one of my favorites, but it is not the fastest method to train combat - and that is something that can only be backed up using numerical facts like XP rates. If you love the skill, why contradict your self with 'slayer sucks' as the title, as it is purely misleading. I have read your entire article, but that was about a year ago =P Your title should be more like: 'Ok, Slayer is a really bad way to train combat in my opinion, but is a fun skill to do! - RANT'
  12. I don't have time to read one thousand, four hundred and sixty three posts sorry. I think I have figured out why people are getting so agitated. You say slayer sucks, but the fact is that is all your opinion. The fact is, slayer does not suck. It is a good skill. It may not be the most efficient, cost effective, blah, blah, blah, but it is still a fun skill to level, unlike some other useless skills (fire making :P ). You have a slayer level of 85, you cannot say you hate it after all that.
  13. I need a good shave after all that talk and reading.
  14. Sorry, get you and Miner mixed up. One of the reasons I separate posts. Twice in 2 days, I need to work on that :? But I'm not talking about that. I was specifically referring to reaction time, so it should have been clear: I'm talking about when we're both standing in one spot, one spawns, and we both click to attack. All my issues are settled , dw about that mistake, I kind made one too :P
  15. Your argument that I'm a laid-back, slow slayer as the reason for my numbers being different. Lol, never said that. That was someone else... And that has precisely what to do with who gets the goblin when two people are standing there waiting for a spawn? Ok, gonna explain this real slow. Lets say it is you verse me to get 40 kill count, right? We both get a goblin first, as there are a few spawned around. I miss my first hit, you one hit your goblin. So far: Lord Firer - 0 DeviledEgg24 - 1 I then kill one, but by that time your on your second. Get the drift? My stats are lower, so I have a greater chance of missing, as your are higher, your accuracy is much better than mine. I never discounted the fact that you may click faster than your opponent, but you have to include everything, not just you clicking speed.
  16. But it pits my view of my abilities against yours, and as it's me we're talking about, it clearly defines my position and overrides your secondhand viewpoint. Uh? My abilities? Ever tried getting bandos KC? I'd advise trying it before you begin a debate about it. Since you obviously don't seem to know, we're talking about monsters with level 1 defence and 3-15 HP that are almost always 1 hit with 3-4 seconds spent waiting for a spawn between each kill. Yes, I have done bandos, thus I have gotten a bandos kill count off the goblins. Higher the level, higher the chance to hit/one hit kill them. Even at 84 attack I sometimes miss. A clear assumption on your behalf. EDIT: the get a life thing is a serious issue, not an insult. It's a health risk staying in doors all day grinding. Anyway.... There were two exact same posts before, just pointing it out..... stop jumping to conclusions.
  17. To Compfreak Not many people would be dedicated enough to read through 580 posts just so they can see some facts. Nice double post BTW. The whole point of a Skill, is to work your way through and get the 99, thats what Runescape is all about really, because if there were no skills but monsters, Runescape would be boring.. I don't understand grinding, it is boring, benefits you as a person in no way what so ever (except for maybe learning patience). All that for a game.... get a life ppl.
  18. Edited my post to reply to your statements. Lol, thekiller308 - good idea
  19. Therefore slayer rates are invalid and runescape discussions based on fact can not exist. Again not having a go at you but you have to assume that people are mildly trustworthy. Lol, don't know if that was to me or compfreak, but anyway, maybe I should clarify. There are rates, but it becomes blurry at a certain point where it is hard to see if someone is a very hard worker, or just plain lien'. Like you cannot say that it is impossible to kill 3 trolls in an hour with maxed stats and a decent weapon, but when you get to the upper reaches of 'facts' it is hard to prove. And you can't prove any of yours either. Therefore, it is utterly impossible to have any discussion whatsoever as the other party could be making it up. It's probably a good idea not to try and post in this discussion if your operating under the assumption that all of us are pathological liars. Ok, my what? I have not said any stats.... and I never said you were a liar, just said that saying "I am the fastest...." or whatever does not mean that I am going to believe you. Calm down. Could you show me proof that higher stats result in faster reaction time for grabbing monsters, 'cause I'm really not buying it... Grabbing a monster does not count as a kill, it is the killing I am talking about. Better stats -> faster kill -> less time till you can attack another one.
  20. You are on the internet, you cannot really prove any of your times sorry. Even video recording can be manipulated to look faster than they are. Not having a go at you, just a general statement of any times for runescape. And the kill count thing? Maybe cos you have maxed combat stat you beat them?
  21. Well I have quit members for a year, so I cannot do slayer atm lol. But I used to use Duradel, but I found it took me longer to do the tasks and get prepared for them than the easy, fast fairy ones.
  22. Chanedal or whatever her name is (the one in the fairy land), well I use her. Gives the best max exp per hour imo. Trolls, daggs and kalphites are great for slayer exp. Not bad drops from trolls too.
  23. Eww, not a fan of Duradel. Gives me really bad, long tasks. Black demons/iron dragons/steel dragons/black dragons/Mithril dragons < evil.
  24. Personally, I never train combat skills exclusively. I play the game to have fun, and I believe that slayer is a more exciting way to level combat. I like the change of targets, the different tactics used etc. It may not be the best/fastest/most efficient way to train, but the fact is that I find it fun, and to me, that is all that matters.
