from what i understand, you must take out the bars before you put in more ores. you can put in lots of coal, but metal ores cant be added until you move out some bars, and you cant have more than 28 metal ores and bars combined in the machine at any time also, if you load up the furnace with coal or ores and log out, you lose them when you log back in (same thing with the bone grinder, but not with flour mills, strangely enough...) so make sure you smelt everything out if youre gonna log off yea ill add that to the guide, i think its stupid, lost connection with 40 coal and 20 mith on the belt one time

when he is a full stock of both coal and mith ores i make about 3k profit per round, when he is at lowest stock possible i only make about 1k a round, i dont calculate how much i make, all i know is when i come out i have gained lots of smithing exp and never have less money than i went in with, always profit edit: bauke, add me ingame if you have any questions or want me to come to the furnce and show you in person pm me, im world hopping for battle staffs atm so might not be on worlds for long so if you see me online say 'hi' quick

um im not sure, i think that there is a bar limit, youll have to test this yourself, sorry, the more bars i had in there at once was 28, i think thats the maximum, because it would not let me add any more mith ores that round, so i think 28 is the max but im not sure

then your very lucky, i forgot my glory one time and i was mining as slow as a gold rock, and i have 78 mining, ran to bank threw on glory and was 1 hitting again

are you wearing a glory?, if yes try taking it off and see how fast you get them, its the glory thats getting them so fast for you (if your not wearing a glory you are very lucky)

nice idea, i did this once, made 2k mith arrows really quickly, but if you do this you should bring alot more money with you because you wont be alching to get back the money you lose when you buy the ores also because the blast furnace acts a ring or forging (100% when making iron ores) it would be a very effective way of making iron knives/arrow heads/dart tips without the need to find a ruby supply

You make profit even if you buy all the ores and coal at maximum price its not that it goes quicker (which it does, because you dont have to mine/buy your ores, they are all there waiting for you) it is just alot easier than anyother method, you use half the coal and hammer it out all in the same room, the only reason you would have to leave is if you run out of natures

yea, i know that, but the noted ores and the spade and bucket being in your inventory do speed it up, i did it making 5 plate when i first went but found for the extra plate you lose more time because of picking up, dropping ever round youre walking past the very spots that you have to pick up your spade and bucket... and you can drop your stuff on the way to the next stop... but ok, why do i bother tellign you of faster methods if you dont wanna listen... lol, if you think its a faster method use it, im not telling anyone to do it my way, its just the way i do it and it works for me, if you prefer your way do it like that, it doesnt affect how i do it

yea, this may be possible, but it would also be harder to get the coal to ore ratio as easy as with my method, 2 loads coal, 1 load mith, simple easy and quick

This guide is for all those who think that the blast furnace is a waste of time (lord umega for one :) ) and who believe that it needs to be a group mini game. Yes you will get more exp if you go with a group, but you don't actually need one Requirements 55 magic 60 smithing minimum (68+ being the best IMO) 30 agility 30 firemaking 30 crafting 30 strength A few things befor you get started: 1) never listen to what the forman says 2) take lots of natures to make the most of every trip (with this method you can stay till your nats run out) 3) If you see one of the miners come in wait till he has given the ores to ordan before you buy the ones you want, unless there are 100 of the ore you want, sometimes he brings coal and it will be cheaper if there is more in stock, which will mean a greater profit 4) Any coal and ores left on the conveyor belt when you log off WILL dissapear, so make sure you dont leave anything on the belt, if there are a few coal left on it just chuck the equivilent amount of iron on with it and get some steel bars back 5) If you are under lvl 60 smithing you will have to pay 2.5k every time you enter and wont be able to use the anvils in there, but if you are wearing a ring of Charos (u) you only have to pay 1.25k every time (but still cant access the anvils) Your inventory should look like this as you go into the blast furnace (the coal could be either iron or mithril ores depending if your going to make mith or steel plates) There are 2 different ways you can use the blast furnace, one is with steel, the other with mithril Mithril way First place 20 coal onto the conveyor belt, repeat this by buying 20 coal from Ordan and put that on the belt, now buy 20 mithril ores and put them onto the belt along with the coal Proceeded to the bike and pedal till the ores fall into the crucible then head over to the stove and fill 2 spades with coke then put them in (2 because this makes it slightly quicker and you donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t need 2 hammers or buckets) Then its time to pump the pumps (30 strength needed) try to keep your view at around this angle so you can see when the molten metal pours down once it has poured down fill your bucket and use the bucket of water on the bar dispenser Clicking the bar dispenser will bring up a screen like this click the 'all' button to get out the bars in there, there will be just enough to make 4 plate bodies with once all the bars are in your inventory head over to the anvils (60 smithing needed to enter here) and hammer the bars into whatever you want, I would suggest making plate bodies as these give the best amount of money (I think anyway) then high alch what ever you made and repeat the process Steel method This is exactly the same as using mithril, but you only buy one load of coal and 20 iron instead of mith ores If the world ever runs out of coal you can always just change worlds till you find one full of coal (shouldn't take long lol) or you could sell and buy your own noted coal, although I would change worlds, I only take noted ores just incase im halfway through a 'run' and need a few more coal Always, always, always fix anything that breaks as soon as you see it, otherwise you wont get your molten metal to pour out this is my fist guide so advice would be apreciated, also if someone could pm me telling me how to make a video i could make one showing how to do it (a run usually take me about 2 minutes and a video might be easier to understand than the above) Thanks for reading and hope this will promt some people to start to use this as a profitable way to raise smithing (yes you do make money even if you buy all the ores at maximum price, as long as you high alch what you make) thanks to imageshack for hosting all the pictures in this guide

sorry if the spots have been there a while, but i hadnt noticed them befor and i thought that the prayer screen looked different, so my bad if i was wrong, but so what, alot of threads are pointless and mean nothing, at least this one created some ideas that higher levels would like to be implimented

dont forget mages dont have special attacks, rnage has mage shorts and long, melle have all drag weps, mages have none *stiring it up is fun :twisted: * *kuch* no specials? So you say magic cannot -stop someone from moving (etangle and frozen) -leech off life to heal yourself (blood spells) -Cannot decrease the enemies stats (curse etc) -Do not save lifes and items (teleports) -Are able to stop anyone from teleporting (teleblock) Ontopic: Combination prayers are a bad idea, unless the enemy has smite, you really have no chance to pk someone, because only half the damage is done by all types of attacks. I think they are mage and range boosters when exactly did i say that mages couldnt do those things? when i said spec i meant something extra that could be used on any spell, like a special staff that would use the spell twice but only use the runes for one cast (like a drag dagger spec), yes mages have all those things, but carrying the rune needed for them all would take up 2 rows, anyway this topic is about prayers not specs

Everyone says that dag tasks are the best if you use a cannon, but when i went it wasnt multi area and was really slow exp is there a different place i should be killing them, i went into the big room where you go to get out of the snow if there is a different place i should go please tell me, i just burthorped a 160 dag task because i didnt know where to go please give directions on where to go

The range special attack is absolutely rubbish these days, you can't even get two from a full special bar. If they add a Mage Special, it will probably be the same as the Magic Shortbow special attack (well, using over 1/2 of the special bar). ~Jimmie the way i look at it, no mages NEED a special attack, i mean if your a mnage you already have a full arsenal of binds, drains, attack drainers, poison, weakening spells, and even the great teleblock :lol: Gosh, mage do have a "special attack" just not in the green bar. Remember Mage Arena? You get those three spells and they all do tons of damage plus they have an extra effect. Now on topic, I didnot even notice a change in prayer screen. Well I hope there are new prayers. I have been collecting D bones for quite some time now. stop collecting them then, and start ectoing them lol

i dont think that jagex hates pures, pures are just making the most of the possibilities open to them, getting the best stats they can while 'hiding' them behind a low CB, but i too think that these new prayers will be most offencive than deffencive

Ha, I just got 6 cave bugs from her, by far my worst assignment in terms of sheer annoyance. But, after that I got 168 bloodvelds so on average I'm not complaining :D df i dont know why people love veld tasks, they litterally ate my arrows and didnt give any type of pay back, not even that many bloods :cry: On topic: just got a worse task, 56 crawling hands lol

maybe these new prayers will have a quest requirment to them? like you have to do a new quest, like deveous minds 2? and the high preist of entrana teaches them to you this would be bad for some people as lots of people dont have the required skills to complete DM (50 rc and 65 smithing) so only a small group of people will be able to use the new prayers then, i think that earning the new prayers would be a good idea, prayer isnt easy to get in the first place but then having to do a medium/hard quest would really mean that the users of these prayers would have really earned them
