  1. You have to mine the iron ore for sheets if you want to break even/make a profit. As you only gain 20 gp per sheet, buying them is out of the question unless you dont mind losing money.
  2. Sorry, never made a guide before :wall:
  3. Iron Sheets - Are They As Bad As They Seem? I have already tried the search function, sorry if this has already been said but i have been told by several people "iron sheets dont give enough exp to be worth it." or something along those lines. However, during a spell of boredom, I decided to see whether or not they really were as bad as people claimed. Quest Required: Swan Song Location: The Piscatoris Fishing Colony Ways to get there: Fairy Ring Code: A K Q (walk north) Gnome glider/Spirit tree to Gnome Stronghold then go through the south gate and walk west-northwest following the wall Teleport to Ardougne and walk north-northwest to the Gnome stronghold and walk west along the wall You learn how to make Iron Sheets during the quest. For each iron bar you make into a sheet, you will lose 5 experience. You will have to decide whether that 5 exp means that much. At the time of posting rings of forging cost 2-3k each. For every ring of forging (140 charges) you would make 2.8k from selling the iron sheets to the guy south-south east of the furnace, and gain 4550 smithing experience. For every ring of forging (140 charges) you would make 14k (if sold for 40 per) if made into iron knives, and gain 5250 smithing exp, There is a difference between the two: Iron Sheets: Constant buyer at a fixed price Only requires you to buy rings of forging (2.8k maximum per ring if you want to break even) Takes alot of clicking (the press machine doesnt have a "make X" button) Requires the completion of Swan Song Requires 45 smithing Takes some time You must mine the ores yourself if you want to make a profit/break even Iron Knives: Need to look for a buyer (unless you have a permenant buyer) Need to buy rings of forging and/or Iron ore/bars Requires 22 smithing Requires some clicking (has "make 10" for the smithing area) Are fast Iron Sheets may take longer to make compared to Iron Knives, but there is always a buyer (No more searching for hours for a buyer!) and the route you take makes it almost a straight line. Suggested Equipment: What you will want is minimal weight, so hunter capes and boots of lightness are good, and dont forget the all important ring of forging and your pickaxe. Do not wear anything that will weigh you down, and wearing a glory amulet is highly not-recommended as they can increase the chance of getting gems while mining. (If there is good feedback, I will try to add pictures.)
  4. You must have simply misread it, as on the first post it specifies what dragon weapons you can use and has done since it was posted.
  5. Well the trial is over. Now we shall prepare for the real event. (Please read the rules, we had several people turn up without knowing what they weren't allowed to use..)
  6. The links are safe. This thread would have been deleted a long time ago if it wasnt. Good for being careful though, too many people have been hacked due to false links. However, we are not pretending in any way that we are JaGEx, there is even a line in the disclaimer on the website stating that clearly. To those that will come, it is going to be fun :
  7. nice guide, I personally like spot 1. I went from 66 to 71 hunter there, and I used the line method. Might try this next time I go hunting for some of my furry little bombs. :
  8. If you are unsure whether you are allowed to bring a certain peice of equipment, please ask here as we can then refine the equipment allowed section, to help avoid further problems.
  9. Unless they start paying attention to the entire community rather than just the new players, sort out what they are doing and make the game less of a hassle to play then they will go downhill, and once they pass a certain point its no going back.
  10. I do the new ones as they are released, although they may be boring and annoying, I'd rather get them out of the way now than wait until later. I leave the earlier boring ones that are just "walk around the map 3 times, dance on the spot and you are done" I prefer ones that are actually a challange.
  11. They seem to be avoiding adding new higher level herblore pots, but they shouldnt ignore them. Hopefully the new slayer monster will offer a combo pot that is for the higher herblore users, and actually is worth making. And for the new pot that needs nail beats nails, stock up before people start realising how good they are. (I think bandages restore 7hp, not 5.)
  12. I've noticed your guide doesnt include Chinchompas. They are highly effective at killing swarms of monsters, are cheaper than ancient spells, and are pretty easy to gather. In one game ive achieved a damage inflicted of 719 using Chinchompas, while also attacking any spinners that are near the portal. If you can stack the monsters correctly you can get 120xp from one throw of a Chinchompa. I personally prefer the red Chinchompa in Pest Control, but its grey companion works almost as well. I usually use roughly 20-50 Chinchompas per game, and though I may not be directly damaging the portal, I help to slow the monsters attacking the void knight, attack any spinners that spawn, and leave the portal open to the meleers.
