  1. Combat is a combination of multiple skills. Attack, Defence, Strength, Ranged, Magic and Prayer levels all contribute to your combat level. It's not a true comparison to compare combat level 65 to level 65 woodcutting.
  2. They did in South America where coffee originated, I believe it was brought to Europe a little later than the middle ages however. A South American themed part of the world would be interesting... some Mayan pyramids, giant anacondas to fight and a quest to locate El Dorado. Oh, and coffee.
  3. And don't forget that I like to dunk a biscuit into my tea as well.
  4. They have a second screen, which lists in intricate detail the minuatae of the trade. All the items you are trading, and all the items that are being traded to you writ large in brown and white. And guess what, the other person can't change any of it. Anyone that gets scammed at the moment already has that sub-shoesize IQ.
  5. Mine is Siglor. You can apparently change it using the ring of Charos after you've done the garden of tranquility quest - but seeing as I need to raise farming (yay) before I can do that one I'm not sure of the mechanics of doing so. I'll second (or third) the notion that miscellania should be avoided. Just take the 10k out of the coffers and run. That princess keeps putting off our wedding too
  6. See autoers drive prices down... which is good for consumers of raw materials, but not so good for those looking to sell. I tend to do all my own mining wcing and fishing so autoers have really never bothered me. But the knock-on effects can have an impact - coal prices go down, so addy bars go down, so addy armour prices go down. Scammers, yes well it's easy enough not to get scammed if you play with your brain engaged. However you still have to go through the whole trade process with the scammer taking time away from more enjoyable activities. But hackers - if you're not silly enough to actually give someone your password (whether directly, or indirectly through a trojan or keylogger) then you will never be hacked playing runescape. And it doesn't even effect you in the slightest if people try.
  7. Hackers. I'd challenge Mitnick himself to hack me via runescape.
  8. How would anyone else know whether you have reported someone or not? Unless of course you prance about saying "I reported so and so for xyz! Everybody report so and so for xyz!" in which case people are probably simply frowning at you for being a prat.
  9. It's definately not 100% 'random'. There are most likely triggers built into it so that when your activities match proscribed criteria you increase your chances. I was at chaos druids yesterday and four times out of five trips I'd have a full inventory and hit the spell to tele back to fally - drunken dwarf.
  10. You would still have to download all the updates. So basically you would be paying just for a piece of media with a key on it. There are much more efficient ways of distributing licence keys. Plus, doing it this way would kill off their f2p version meaning less people attracted to the members version of the game. I know I'd have never started playing if I'd had to go out and buy the CD just to see what it was like.
  11. That may well be the dumbest thing I have ever seen written anywhere, by anyone. Congratulations.
  12. I doubt you'd find anyone willing to buy it. Eat it and it will restore some of your run energy.
  13. That's such a brilliant idea... especially since absolutely no ISPs use dynamic addressing, people never use different computers or change providers and an IP address is an accurate and permanent means of identifying a person, just like a fingerprint - hardwired into us at birth.
  14. It's usually a good idea to get your facts straight before running your mouth off. Satanists do not celebrate Halloween, however Wiccans do celebrate the equinox that falls around this time. Halloween also has Christian roots, the word itself being a contraction of "All Hallows Eve" - being the night before All Souls Day.
  15. Indeed... or else go further into the wildy where people can't tele.
  16. You need to decide if you want to be around an immature little brat.
  17. Yeah, that'd be great if only for the teensie little fact that an IP address is neither an accurate, nor a permanent means of identifying an individual.
  18. You might want to brush up on your physics 101 there sparky. Lasers produce light of near-monochromaticity (the wavelength of all the photons emitted from the device is very similar) rather than "focussed" light. In actual fact, the very first lasers used rubies as the gain medium. Rubies are what? Gemstones. (you got owned)
  19. Yup, don't go down there without a reliable (one click) means of teleporting out.
  20. Bacon. I sooo want to be carving up those piggies in Draynor and smoking them into lovely streaky bacon.
  21. I propose that all future "bank space issues" posts need to be accompanied by screenshots of the poster's bank - thereby giving the rest of the community the ability to let the poster know what items they can safely get rid of.
  22. Nah, there's more than a few people around who are pretty generous. I gave a dude a rune scimmy the other day because I saw him trying to kill Elvarg with a mith long. I play the game because it's fun... If I can increase the amount of fun someone else has in the game at no cost to my own fun, then that's got to increase the overall amount of fun being had in the game - increasing the chances of some splashing back on me at some stage.
  23. You're serious? Serious about demanding more from a company that are already giving you their time, effort and server bandwidth for free? I mean, they've given you a game that has a number of challenges (one of which by the way, is managing a limited bank and inventory) that have kept you interested enough to play until your bank is full... you haven't paid a cent (I dare say you haven't clicked through any of the advertising either)... and yet you still think you deserve more? Get members mate... or quit whinging, up to you.
  24. I remember a yellow plastic, brick-sized pacman game that used LEDs (even pre-LCD) Exactly... Although I'm usually pretty up front about my age from the get-go. But I did the bulk of Hero's Quest with a 13yo who's intelligence and politeness would shame players double her age or more. Toyboy eh... me too.
