  1. I'll try to be there, although it is as late as 22 PM for me.
  2. A very well written Quest Guide :) The images are very well edited too.
  3. It's a very good idea you have there, but it might be very hard to complete it without the Quest guide. I mean, I certainly wouldn't figure out that I should use blast-spells here.. And then.. If you don't know anything about this Quest, get a message, you'll probably think "How interesting, I must open it right away!". Then you're unprepared when you get attacked, and the next person you meet is either a White Knight or Hans. Your items - Gone.
  4. Hmm.. At least I get constructive feedback  - I'll try to.. Improve the rewards a bit.
  5. Start point: Speak to Old Fineas sitting on the Brimhaven Docks Difficulty level: Hard Quest length: Long Quests: Recipe for disaster (to Pirate Pete), Shilo Village Skills: 45 Farming, 60 strength, 30 smithing, 70 magic Items: Diving apparathus, Diving helmet, 100 coins, 8 regular planks, hammer, 24 nails (any kind), Oyster pearl, 2 cut sapphires, 2 cut emeralds, 2 cut rubies, 1 cut diamond, Runes for Earth wave, NPC's: Old Fineas, Murphy, Nerie, Traidon the Tailor, Octaron, Saw Mill Operator, Venerite, Serinte, Yanni Salika, Vaquar the Elder, Palykra, Zavistic Rarve, Romedy, Orrian, Mayor. Starting To start off with this Quest, get to Brimhaven Docks and speak to Old Fineas, a retired captain sitting on the Brimhaven Docks. Ask him to tell a story, and he will tell you about Lady Moonie, a majestic ship filled with treasures belonging to the Royal Family of Kandarin. Fineas will also tell you that a long time ago, the king of Kandarin wanted more valuables from distant lands. The ship was set sail from Ardougne to the Kharidian Desert, where there were many treasures to be found. The ship never arrived to it's destiny, and it probably sunk somewhere. But no'one alive knows anything about it. You will be exited about it, and want to dive after it. Fineas will laugh at you, and say that the sea is too big, too deep, and way too mysterious for any such thing. And besides, it happened so long ago, and no'one knows what could have happened with the ship. Under the sea Speak to Murphy in Port Khazard, and tell him that you would be interested in diving more, but this time in a different location than the Mogres. Make sure that you have your diving gear drom Recipe for Disaster, and that you are carrying less than 27 kg. You will set sail with your boat, but this time travelling a bit more north than the Mogre area. When you are ready, begin to dive, and you will come to a large, lifeless place with no plants (only rocks). Explore a little further and you will come to a small underwater city, with glowing shells as their light source, populated by mermaid-looking creatures. Ask them (anyone) about what's wrong. You will find out that the little town is running out of food. You will find out that all of a sudden the kelp died, and that if they don't get the kelp soon, everyone in the town is going to die! There are kelp growing near the mogre's, but the townspeople are very afraid of the Mogres. You can also ask about any sunken ships nearby, but they will be upset and ask "how anyone can think about such things when they all might die". In this town, however, there are a few tasks that the people could need a helping hand with. 1) Nerie - Nerie has accidentally torn her curtains. Agree to fix them. Take the curtains to Treidon the Tailor, who will repair the curtains for a fee of 100 gp. Take the curtains back to Nerie, who will give you a Tiny old key made out of bronze she found somewhere. 2) Octaron - Octaron wants a fence around his precious garden. He has already done 3 of the four sides (assuming that his house wall is one side) but the remaining side is undone. Agree to help him. For this task you will need 8 regular planks. Take 6 of these planks to the Sawmill found just North-East of Varrock. Tell him that you want to build a fence with them. The Sawmill will make the planks shorter, which means that you will get 12 Short planks. Hammer the planks (12 short planks, 2 regular planks) with 24 nails (any kind) and you will get a loose fence. Get back underwater, and simply put the loose fence on it's place. Octaron will give you another tiny key this time made out of silver that might come in handy somewhere. 3) Venerite - Venerite wants a pearl to show up in her room. Simply give her one, or go fishing oysters. Venerite will take the pearl from the Oyster shell, and give you a Tiny Key made of gold for your effort. 4) Serinte - Serinte would also like an artefact, but she is tired of "underwater-things". What she would like, is something nice looking from the world above water. Well, luckily there is one antiques seller in the world above water - Yanni Salika in Shilo Village. Get there, and ask if Yanni has any antiques you could use underwater for sale. Yanni will show you an ancient vase made of gold. Yanni wouldn't want to give it away just like that, but he could trade it for some gems. Get Yanni 2 cut sapphires, 2 cut emeralds, 2 cut rubies, and 1 cut diamond, and Yanni will give you the vase. Get the vase to Serinte, who will give you a Glowing Shell. After you have helped all these four people, talk to any villager again, and ask about a sunken ship. They will tell you to go to Vaquar the Elder, found in the Town. Vaquar the Elder, and the Sunken ship Talk to Vaquar the Elder, found in his house in the town. Vaquar will tell you about a great ship that sunk a very long time ago, a small distance away from the Town. Vaquar will tell you, that he saw all the treasures until Romedy, an octopus-like large creature that has claws as big as a human on the end on each "arm", took them all, and hid them in his cove. Romedy is so big, that no man can beat him in combat with any weapon. Vaquar the Elder will tell you to speak to Palykra, a young, brave adventurer that can lead you to the ship. Speak to Palykra, who will take you to the old, sunken ship. It sure looks like a scary ghost ship, and you are free to explore it. On the bottom of the ship, you will find a small chest. Pick the chest up, and try to open it. The chest will be locked, and should be taken to Vaquar the Elder. Go away from the ship, and talk to Palykra to take you back to the small town. Go to Vaquar the Elder, and show him the small chest. He will tell you that the small chest must be one of the treasure chests, that the ship was carrying, but for some reason it was not taken by Romedy. However, the small chest has three locks, and each one needs three different keys to work. Lucky thing you have three tiny keys made of bronze, silver and gold! Use the keys on the chest, and it will be unlocked! Inside, you will found a wee treasure chest, and a small note that will say: "To the one that wants to open this chest so wee, A key have been hidden to open it for thee" Go a little south of the town, and you will find a small cave. Before you go in, make sure you have the glowing shell with you!. No candle or lantern will work underwater, obviously, so you will need a glowing shell. If you don't have the shell, underwater insects will come for you, just as in Lumbridge Cave for example, these little insects will hit harder though. Enter the cave, and search the cave rocks. You will find a very tiny key. Get out of the cave, and open the wee chest with the key. Inside you will find 1000 coins and a cut diamond. Get back to the town. When you enter the town you will see a cutscene. Someone is shouting "Help!" in the distance, and the people will be frightened. Ask any villager about what happened, and they will tell you that Orrian, a young lad, has been kidnapped by Romedy. Romedy will not give Orrian back, until every person in the town has left, leaving all the valuables there. Romedy Talk to Palykra again, and ask him where Romedy's cave is. Palykra says he knows where Romedy's cave is, but is way too scared to take you there. Beg him to go, and he will refuse. Say that Orrian will never come back if Palykra doesn't agree to help. Palykra will agree to take you near the cave. Suddenly Palykra will tell you that he has an idea. He will point to a gigantic rock as big as a house, which is above the cavern. He will tell you that if Romedy would stand right under it, the rock could kill him, as it is as big as Romedy himself. However, the rock is too big to be pushed with just human power. Palykra will tell you that very powerful magic could do the trick. Palykra will ask you if you know any mage that would know more about these things. You will think of Zavistic Rarve in the Magic Guild. Palykra will take you away from the cave, and take you back when you have a magic spell powerful enough. Speak to Zavistic Rarve in the Magic's Guild. Ask him what spell would be powerful enough to move a rock as big as a house underwater. Zavistic will tell you that only wave spells would be powerful enough for that, and that underwater only earth spells would be powerful. Your spell will be Earth Wave! Zavistic Rarve will say that you can't cast Earth Wave underwater with your bare hands, and that you will need a tablet to throw on the rock. When thrown the Earth Wave's effect will work on the rock. Simply take the runes for Earth Wave to Zavistic, and he will make you a tablet (70 magic required for you). Speak to Palykra again, and tell him that you have everything ready for the magic. Palykra will try to get Romedy out of his cave. Palykra will shout for Romedy, who will appear just outside his cave. When you see him outside the cave, use the Earth Wave Tablet on the rock. The rock will fall on Romedy, who will get killed under the rock. However, the rock blocks the entrance, and cannot be removed. Any similar spell would cause the cave to collapse, and Orrian could get killed in there! Orrian and the teasures Ask Palykra if there are any other entrances to the cave. He will tell you that there is a small rock blocking a cave a small distance from here. The cave could possibly lead to Romedy's place. Palykra will take you to the smaller cave. If you have 60 strength, you can lift the rock away from the entrance. Swim inside. You will see a cutscene. In the cutscene, you will find Orrian, among all the lost treasures from the sunken ship! You will carry the treasures to the town with the help of all villagers. In one chest you will find a lot of kelp seeds! The town people don't have to go hungry anymore! When the cutscene ends, you will be asked to grow the kelp seeds. Take the kelp seeds, and plant them in a farming patch found in the town. You don't need any farming materials, just plant them in the patch, wait a few minutes, and you have succesfully grown some kelp! Speak to the Mayor of the town, and he will give you a chest from the ship as a reward for your help. Soon the kelp will be growing all over the place, so no'one needs to starve! Reward from the Quest: 3 Quest points 7000 farming XP 18000 strength XP 10000 magic xp Treasure Chest -- In the treasure chest you will find 10000 coins, a cut dragonstone and 10 watermelon seeds! --
  6. I got Ambassardor Spanfipple, and he was not beside Sir Renitee! I searched the place, but failed the task when I couldn't find him :(
  7. I used to love Falador for ages.. There were many shops, things to explore, even the big and impressive White Knight's Castle! But then, when I did a quest, which gave access to an amazing town that still is my favourite one. Do you guess what town this is? The Quest was and is today named "Giant Dwarf". And my favourite city is... Keldagrim! Keldagrim is a lovely, marvellous, wonderful town! The inhabitants have their own names, which amazed me when I entered the town for the first time approx. one year ago. The cutscene where you drive the boat on the statue really impressed me... Not to talk about the look of the town, it's absolutely fantastic! The big "mall" that units the east and the west side, The consortium, Keldagrim even has its own railway station! The first thing that made me laugh was the "old dwarven couple" fighting (go from the eastern side to north, then cross the bridge and you should see it). They had their own names, but I can't remember them :wall: - This town also has so much to explore! I recently noticed Bisi the Supreme Commandor of the Black Guard, upstairs in the "Keldagrim Police Station" (with Veldaban). It's so full of... everything! Another great thing here - There are basically never players here! You can really relax or just be in peace. The players that come here, are often very kind yet quiet. After Keldagrim there has been a lot of other towns releazed. Such as Burgh de Rott, Mos le' Harmless and Lunar Isle. But none of these are good enough to beat Keldagrim, the best city ever!
  8. I also examine EVERYTHING I see. It's a habit I've had for as long as I've played, and I still enjoy the examines, so I'm definately not going to stop doing it.
  9. I actually have two favourite skills; Magic and slayer. Now since we can't put 0,5 to magic and 0,5 to slayer, so I say Slayer
  10. not true part i bolded ive tried meleeing all the metals they will attack mostly with melee but also with fire and i believe max should be about 27 melee that is what a black dragons is if i remember correctly How do you mean it is not true? You said "I've tried meleeing all the metals they attack mostly with melee but also with fire". If you melee them you DO stand within melee range 8-) - With melee range I mean that the dragon can hit you with melee WITHOUT having to move the body. Try to mage the dragons a few squares away, and you'll notice that what I said is true! EDIT: I think you misunderstood me. I didn't mean that they ONLY attack with melee, I meant that the only time they attack with melee is when you stand within melee range.
  11. Oops, double post! Please delete this message! Thanks
  12. I also think that tip.it should have another official world (I vote for 99 \ ) however I also think that we should keep World 9. In other words, I support two official P2P-worlds!
  13. No, with melee their max hit is something between 20 and 25. They do not hit as much as 50 with melee, without shield, their fireballs could hit that much though...
  14. Yup, I agree on that it is a good guide, but it still could do with some more information. 1) Antifire potions are there to prevent being hitted by the Dragon fire if you have the shield, we all know that. But now someone may think that "How come I don't need prayer, the dragons should come moving towards you"... This information should be included: Metal Dragons work differently than the other dragons. It will hit you with melee ONLY when you stand within melee range. If you mage them from a few squares away they will only be attacking with their massive fireballs. Now that you have the shield and the antifire potions, the steel dragon will only hit 0's on you! Since they have a metal scale, is magic your best bet against them. A dose of the antifire potion will last for six minutes, so remember to drink immediately when you see the fire is taken damage on you (it only takes there at 4 hitpoints at a time so you shouldn't worry that much), eat if you feel you need it. Steel Dragons drop curry quite frequently though, so you might be able to get some more to eat. I personally kill one steel dragon with approx. 60 fire bolts, and my dose lasts for approx. 100 fire bolts, so I am almost able to kill 2 Steel Dragons at one dose. I always bring one dose per 100 chaos, so if I bring 4000 chaos I will bring 40 doses, which means 10 antifire potions (4). 2) Steel Dragons are lvl-246! 3) I actually have one spot where I always stand. You can cover yourself very well from the Iron Dragons this way: When you enter the room with the Iron & Steel Dragons, FIRST DRINK A DOSE OF YOUR POTION!!!, run to west and south from there so that the western wall is on the right side of you. You're most likely to be hit by Iron Dragons, run through them, they should not do that much damage to you. You should soon see a lonely Steel Dragon there. Let the Steel Dragon attack you WITH FIRE, (if you're under attack by an Iron Dragon run south/north until the Iron Dragon is out of sight). When the Steel Dragon is attacking you, go to a spot found just in the western wall. I've made a small picture, I know it's a little indistinct but: When you see the spot, go in there and start maging the Steel Dragon. As you see, this is a spot where NO other dragon will distract you! When you have killed the Steel Dragon, there is no much walking, go there and pick up your drops, go back to the spot and wait for the Steel Dragon to spawn again (alternatively you can also mage the Steel Dragon to the east). Please beware that this is for most people the most popular Steel Dragon. I've killed approx. 2000 Metal Dragons, and I'd say that over 1000 of these were this dragon I'm talking about. Also, 8 of the 9 Dragon legs/skirt drops I've gotten come from this dragon. If you find another player in there fighting your dragon, there is a safe way to log out in this dangerous room. If you go into your spot you will find a large egg. On the right side of the egg there is one square. Go there and log out. The Dragons WON'T see you if you hide there! (Unless you've run there during being attacked) 4) A Fire battlestaff is a much better way than Air Battlestaff. If you attack with Fire bolt while wearing Chaos Gauntlets (the way you should do) it only takes 3 air runes while it takes 4 fire runes. Chaos Gauntlets are a reward of the Family Crest Quest. With them, your max hit with Fire Bolt will be 15, while it normally is 12. Remember that they ONLY work on Bolt-spells (not strikes, blasts or waves). -- Yes I also use Mystic Robes. They cost 200k which most people SHOULD afford, they give a decent magic bonus and therefore helps a lot. I've only died once there; It was when I looked at the forums leaving my character there alone. A Steel Dragon hit me with melee (CAUTION: Steel Dragons can hit 22+ with melee!!! - NOT 50 though!) and I died. That was my own fault. If you pay attention you'll find no worries in there!
  15. Learn is an irregular verb, and it is spelled Learnt
  16. Losing a whip is a pain. I know for experience, as I once died at a Troll General (didn't watch prayer), I kept my Dragon Med instead of the whip (they were 4 mill at that time) so I was so angry. Then I made a hard decision. I sold ALL my Dragon-items, and all decent items I had, bought runes and went to the Steel Dragons. Got so many dragon legs and skirts that I was richer than ever! Don't give up, hard work and a bit luck and you can find yourself richer than ever!
  17. Who says the new spells are going to be combat spells? And btw, when I mage in the wilderness I am very afraid of rangers, as they really hit hard on me. I think one of the biggest lie in this game is that ranged is under powered.
  18. I have a few stories to tell too: 1) I had just begun RS, and was doing the Rune Mysteries Quest. When I had to take something to Aubury in Varrock, a Mugger attacked me, and did much damage to me. I thought it was another player and got furious. I yelled "Get a life!" and "Go and play with someone else". I was always scared of going near the Magic shop :D 2) I decided I wanted to be a miner and died of course the first day and lost my pick. I didn't know that there was a Bronze pickaxe spawn in Falador, so I asked my friend for help. Me and him went to the Dwarves west of the Barbarian Village, since those drop Bronze picks occasionally. My friend killed a few dwarves, no pickaxe drop. Then I thought "I can take one of my own too!" I attacked a Dwarf, and with a few hits with it's pickaxe I was dead. My friend yelled all the time "Run away, you can never take it down!" Luckily my friend picked the item up for me.. 3) I was terribly afraid of the Dwarven Mines. I always stayed at the Dwarves where I was safe, and watched my friend bravely enter the area with the Scorpion. "I wish I was that brave" I thought. A few minutes later my friend runs up from there with the Health Bar almost red. "You can't believe it... There were King Scorpions, they are extremely dangerous!" I imagined a lvl 100 creature.. I learned that the King Scorpions were only lvl 32, but they did bother me A LOT when I mined coal there.
  19. 1. What was your reward? 5000 XP. 2. What levels were your quest related skills, total (approx) and qp after?
