There not actually that rare, i've got about 5 from the old man.

I would say smithing, because you will get most of your money back and therefore go on for longer. But also i am a bit bias towards smithing coz it's my favourite skill.

Lol thanks, and i started that quest and then there was some sort of update or something and then it said i hadn't started it so i left it. I'll do it at some point. And yeah i won't give up it'll take me a long time and i'll take breaks but i will never give up on this goal.

Ah ha smithing, my expert skill (sort of). If you want to train smithing with mining, just mine addy sets (1 addy ore 6 coal) and then smelt them into bars and make whatever you can make. If you don't want to train smithing with your mining then all you need to do is get say 1k of steel and then go on the marketplace forums (on tip.it) and you will sell plenty of companies that will give you ores + cash for your bars. So then you have more ores to smelt and then you keep on trading.

For a few reasons: 1. Haven't done the quest 2. Too lazy to do the quest 3. I'm mining the ores and then smelting them to keep it interesting and there is no gold ore in port phasmatys.

I'm currently taking a break from this. I'm doing shade burning to get my prayer and firemaking up. I will continue with my mining and smelting tomorow.

I've posted on yours now. There are 10 gold rocks where i mine so there is plenty for me and i don't have to give any up :D so i feel that it is better to mine where i am.

Good luck, you've posted on mine already! You'll be able to do yours a lot faster than me as i'm mining gold all the way to 99 and then smelting it all to 99 and then crafting it all to 92... so yeah any way good luck.

Good luck, i'm going for 99 smithing too but i'm doing it with gold bars. I'm not sure you'll be able to do 6k bars a day, but whatever.
