  1. You're welcome. I would ask that you give credit to Brainmidget for the code since their guide on Google Docs was extremely well written and provided all the true coding that I used. Thanks for putting the guide itself together, and for adding those excellent charts.

  3. RSN is penderwyll (level 121 p2p) I am looking for the following in a clan, others need not apply: [*:31090k9x]Small community of less than 25 members, who are content being a small clan. Preferably with the majority of members NOT over 130 combat [*:31090k9x]Highly active in-game [*:31090k9x]Regular boss hunting trips (I've never really been before) plus informal ones [*:31090k9x]Skilling opportunities [*:31090k9x]Decent looking forum and runehead design and a ranking system that I can accept. In terms of replies, I would like to have text only replies, giving: the clan name, a link to the runehead member list, a link to the forums, and a short description of why the clan is a decent community. This stipulation is to see how many people bother to read through my entire post, and care enough to tailor their response to my request.
  4. For the advancement of general knowledge 10/10  Its interesting to note that there's no math involved, but I guess jagex doesn't want to complicate everything into higher math when a simple decreasing for-loop will suffice. Oh, and thanks for that little side note on the small pouch... the implication was not necessary but appreciated.
  5. For those interested in collecting from the stockpiles, you'll still need to collect weights to be able to leave and teleport. This is how I do it: - NOTE: I carry about 22 kg of dead weight (stuff that comes with me anyways) 1. Teleport to Al-Kharid and take gnome glider to the Gnome Stronghold, and use the spirit trees to get to the Khazard battlefield. (or Draynor if you have a spirit tree there) 2. Run to the trapdoor, and down... and then run through the tunnel system. 3. Grab weights (assuming you have 27 inventory spaces free) - If you're getting magic logs, grab 10 X 5kg and 2 X 2kg - If you're after coal, get 12 X 5gp weights 4. Run them upstairs and put them on the statue 5. Then collect your raw materials from the small cave and exit through the available door. 6. Repeat
  6. thanks for sharing that, I didn't realize that before. However, kelp will still be faster, regardless of being able to collect seaweed and glass it right away. You're looking at almost 2 minutes more time to collect a full inventory of seaweed from Rellekka (using fairy rings) than collecting kelp (approx 2:00 for kelp, 3:45 for seaweed). Tack on an additional 1:15 for cooking at say, rogue's den... and you're still left with a savings of almost half a minute! (not to mention the fact that cooking is automated, saving you from having to concentrate on the screen the whole time). Either way, kelp is a clear winner
  7. ummm, I'm not totally sure you actually read my post. It does work I've been using it since I first read your guide. You just need to cook the kelp into soda ash... then the spell works perfectly.... just like seaweed. you get about 1.2 times (and a bit more) as much molten glass as you use buckets and ash. The buckets disappear as part of the spell.
  8. I'm not totally sure what you mean by that question.... i mean, naturally it works. you can do 13 at a time (13 buckets, 13 soda ashes). It uses one set of runes per inventory, and produces (so far for me) about 1.2 time the number of molten glass as just doing it in a furnace. to add to what meme was saying about the timing (at colony), at 15 second respawn time, you're looking at 4 batches in a minute. I believe there's only 2 spawns of seaweed in the nets, so thats about 8 seaweed in a minute... thats about 3.5 minutes for a full inventory... plus running to the bank. The Rellekka option (using fairy rings to get to and from) takes even longer, about 3:45 (3 min, 45 seconds for those wondering) to get a full load. In comparison, you spend almost 45 seconds at Khazard just engaged in dialogue... so you can get down to the darn kelp! So either way, Khazard's a much better option
  9. its a brilliant guide, i'm definitely going to be using it soon! however, please check your spelling! Grammar errors are acceptable... but the post-spelling-checker catches most errors anyways! (although a little more sentence structure would go a long way) To be honest, I almost didn't make it through your guide because of it... which would have been an absolute shame! 7/10 because the spelling is actually pretty irritating to slog through (maybe i'm just overly sensitive). Once that's done... big A+ for you, its an incredibly useful and great leveling area of crafting reopened!
  10. great guide for cash effectiveness, nothing wrong with it. However, I'll have to agree with Promise on this one, simply saving gp isn't quite enough.... not when you'll have to spend (if his calculations are right) 15+ days of straight playing (no breaks) In my mind, after getting to level 60, everyone should ask themselves: which is really more valuable, my time.... or saving a decent amount of gp. like Promise 8/10 for the pre-level 60. 5/10 for the post 60. You're doing what you set out to do..... but realistically, how many people will devote the time?
  11. seriously decent guide. its solid all the way through.... makes me wish i could do my mid-range crafting levels again (darn f2p tiaras and symbols back in the day). Oh, and before I forget: BEST Title you could have chosen! It had me seriously rolling on the floor \
  12. Thanks. I needed that (and it also forced me to admit my own failings  ). Very well written as well! Congrats, once again you have reached deep into the recesses of our gaming subculture and pulled out another nasty habit.
  13. For the same reasons you do... because games are fun. My fault for not being more specific. I know games are fun, but I was looking for something more logical. Something like: That is more the type of answer I was looking for. And, out of curiousity... are most of you 'older' players members? (it makes more sense for them to be... but one can never be sure)
  14. My only question for the 'older' people playing (say 23+) is why do they play? I'm 19 (soon), but I mainly play to relieve my mind from school stuff (and the like) and as something entertaining to do.
