Conclusion 1.0 Introduction Hello, and welcome to my second guide on how to complete barrows without using a single dose of a prayer pot. In this guide, I will show you my secrets, and tricks, on how I am able to do barrows with 50 prayer, and 70 defense, without using a single dose of a prayer pot. You will also be able to do multiple runs(using 1 or 2 doses), without leaving the barrows grounds, provided you don't waste to much food. Alright, lets get down to the info :P 2.0 Basic information 2.1 Required stats Stats that I have: *Current stats are in sig Minimal stats that you should have: -50 prayer -65 defense -65 attack -65 strength -66 magic + slayer dart or 70 magic -68 range(you could go lower, although I don't recommend it) -70 hitpoints -50 construction(so that you can have a house with a portal to canfis + a alter) -Desert treasure done( for the house portal) -Some money(for the equipment) 2.2 Required equipment Equipment that I wear: *Updated Jan 12 2007 Wearable equipment, from best to worst: HEAD: Farseer Helmet > Mystic Hat > Wizard Hat AMULET: Fury > Glory Amulet > Power Amulet BODY: Torag Plate > Rune Plate LEGS: Verac Skirt > Torag legs > Rune legs CAPE: Fire Cape > Mage Arena Cape > Skill Cape or Obby cape > Legends Cape > Castle Wars cape *The new trimmed skill cape won't make much of a difference with the +4 prayer bonus, so I would reccomend a Fire Cape or Mage Arena Cape ARROW: Rune arrows > Addy arrows BOOTS: Rune boots > Addy boots > Climbing Boots GLOVE: Any RFD gloves, above black WEAPON: Slayer Staff > Air Staff/ Fire Staff NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL SHEILD: Unholy book > Book of Balance > Damaged Book RING: Ring of Life > Seers Ring Whip > Dragon Scimmy > Dragon Long Karils Top > Black Dragon Hide Body > Red Dragon Hide Body Super Restore > Prayer Pot(just in case, really not needed though) Death/Mind runes > Blood/Air runes NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL Monks(the reason I bring half, is so that I have high-healing food for emergencies, I only end up using around 4 sharks) > Sharks The rest is mandatory. Now you may want to know why I bring certain equipment, instead of others. I bring Verac Skirt, instead of Torag Legs, because of the valuable prayer bonus. I also don't bring Dragon Hide Chaps, as that would waste inventory space, and they barely help(at least at my range lvl). Using my set-up, you will be able to do 3 runs - if you bring all sharks - maybe even more, without leaving the Barrows grounds. Ok, now the guide will be split into 2 sections. One, is for the people who can't afford the best equipment, as you will have to fight a different way, and for the others, who can afford the equipment, as you will have a different approach than the other section. The guide on how to stay for more than one run without leaving the barrows grounds will be in the section for people who have better equipment. 3.0 Attack Plan, with best equipment. - This is the way I do barrows, I recommend this the most You have chosen the best equipment, and will be doing barrows effeciently. It does not matter who is in the tunnels for you. :) You need to fight the brothers in the following order: 1. Dharok Stand on top of his tomb, put run on, set auto-cast. Now, you can put your Karils top on,, so that you have a higher mage bonus. Then put on melee prayer and dig. Kill him, and get out fast, your prayer should be at around 24 if you had 50 prayer to start with. Now take run off, and walk over to Karil. If in tunnel, skip to Karil. 2. Karil Stand on top of him tomb, put run on, get out your whip, and put on range prayer, and dig. Attack him, then eat accordingly. You don't need to use the sidestep to eat, only if you really want to. You should have wasted around 3 monks. Now set run off, and go to Ahrims tomb. If in tunnel, skip to Ahrim. 3. Ahrim Stand on top of his tomb, put on your Karil Top (or B D Hide Body), your magic short, put it on rapid, and put spec on. Dig, and open the coffin. Eat accordingly, sidestep if you want to, although it isn't needed. When you kill him, make your your hp is either full, or close to full, pick up your arrows, and leave. If you got Karil in tunnel, put magic prayer on when you fight this guy. If in tunnel, skip to next brother. 4. Verac Now, put run on, put on your Torag Top, Slayer staff and Unholy Book. Set auto-cast on, and dig. and dig. Open the coffin, but then put yourself in a position, that allows you to sidestep him anytime you want to, like so: When you need to heal, side step. After he dies, run out, and go to Torags tomb. If in tunnel, skip to next brother. 5. Torag In Torags tomb, open the coffin, and set yourself up like you did in Veracs tomb. Sidestep when you need to heal. After you finish Torag, go over to Guthan. If in tunnel, skip to Guthan, the easy one. 6. Guthan Dig, set yourself up, and sidestep when you need to eat. Laugh at the people that use prayer on him. Most I've used on him was 4 sharks/monks. If in tunnels, booya! 3.1 Tunnels This section will be split into 3 sections. One is for the people who got one of the melee brothers. The other if for the people who got Arhim, and the third is for the people who got Karil. Melee Brothers You have got it easy. Go over to one of the corner rooms(explained very well in this guide), and open the door(s) until you get a melee brother. Now find a safespot, and take off your torag plate, verac skirt, and rune boots. Kill the melee brother, and put your equipment back on. Equip your whip/dragon scimmy, and get your kill count(I get 12). Ahrim You still got it easy. It does not matter where you spawn Ahrim. Get your kill count(I get 12), and find the chest. If you didn't spawn him before, you will at the chest. Put on your Karil Top, magic bow, put it on rapid, and put spec on, and eat accordingly. Karil Karil...karil...everybody hates getting him in tunnels, but you will just shrug and go meh. Sure, he will waste more food than Arhim, but he is still easy with your equipment. It does not matter where you spawn him. Get your kill count(I get 12), and find the chest. If you didn't spawn him before, you will at the chest. Equip whip, and fight him. Eat accordingly. Now, congratulations, you have completed barrows without using a single dose of a prayer potion! If you've managed to read this far, at least post a comment or something. Thanks. 4.0 Attack Plan, with the alright equipment. - This is the not way I do barrows, it is still doable, but you might have to waste a prayer pot dose Even though you have worse equipment, I too before only used rune, so I know how you should fight these brothers. It won't be as easy, but you will still make it without using a single dose of a prayer pot, if you don't get Karil in tunnel of course. You need to fight the brothers in the following order: 1. Dharok Stand on top of his tomb, put run on, set auto-cast. You can also put on your dragon hide body, so that you have a higher mage bonus. Now, put on melee prayer and dig. Kill him, and get out fast, your prayer should be at around 24 if you had 50 prayer to start with. Now take run off, and walk over to Karil. If in tunnel, skip to Karil. 2. Karil Stand on top of him tomb, put run on, get your Dragon Scimmy out and put on range prayer, and dig. Attack him, then eat accordingly. Use the sidestep to heal, just run around the coffin to get him stuck on the other side. You should have wasted around 5 monks. Now set run off, and go to Ahrims tomb. If in tunnel, skip to Ahrim. 3. Ahrim Stand on top of his tomb, put on your Dragon Hide Body, your magic short, put it on rapid, and put spec on. 4. Verac Now, put run on, put on your Rune body, Slayer staff and Damaged Book/Book Of Balance. Set auto-cast on, and dig. Open the coffin, but then put yourself in a position, that allows you to sidestep him anytime you want to, like so: When you need to heal, side step. After he dies, run out, and go to Torags tomb. If in tunnel, skip to next brother. 5. Torag In Torag's tomb, open the coffin, and set yourself up like you did in Veracs tomb. Sidestep when you need to heal. After you finish Torag, go over to Guthan. If in tunnel, skip to Guthan. 6. Guthan Dig, set yourself up, and sidestep when you need to eat. Be carefull on him, he sometimes hits through rune alot. If in tunnels, you got lucky. 4.1 Tunnels Now, it is time for the tunnels, one of the most exciting parts of barrows(and certainly the most rewarding). This will be split into 3 sections. One is for the people who got one of the melee brothers. The other if for the people who got Arhim, and the third is for the people who got Karil(ouch). Melee bothers You've got it easy. Go over to one of the corner rooms(explained very well in this guide), and open the door(s) until you get a melee brother. Now find a safespot, and take off your rune plate, rune legs and addy boots. Kill the melee brother, and put your equipment back on. Put on your dragon scimmy/ dragon long, and get your kill count(I get 12). Ahrim You still got it easy. It does not matter where you spawn Ahrim. Get your kill count(I get 12), and find the chest. If you didn't spawn him before, you will at the chest. Put on your Dragon hide, magic bow, put it on rapid, and put spec on. I don't think I need to remind you to eat. Karil Karil...karil...everybody hates getting him in tunnels. You will have to use 2 doses of prayer potion on him, or else he is very dangerous with rune armor. It does not matter where you spawn him. Get your kill count(I get 12), and find the chest. If you didn't spawn him before, you will at the chest. Equip your weapon, and drink 1 dose of prayer potion. Fight him, and drink another. Don't waste anymore, if your prayer runs out just eat. Now, congratulations, you have completed barrows without/only using a single dose of a prayer potion! If you've managed to read this far, at least post a comment or something. Thanks. 5.0 Conclusion I hope this guide has helped you on your quest to be a millionaire. If you have any question or comments, feel free to either PM me on Runescape, or reply here.
