Issue in Iraq - Updated Again!
To clarify some more...a Republic is a FORM of Democracy. America's Republic is also based on Constitutionalism and Social Contract theory. Holy cow, you respond quickly. Yes, you're right on how a republic is a form of democracy and is based on ... Well I'm just restating what you said. I'm just being off-topic, I apologize. Have we let this post die yet? I think you've proved your point from the past ten pages.

Issue in Iraq - Updated Again!
Yep, you're right. Wickedness prevails when good men do nothing. However, I would like to clarify: America has a republic, not a democracy. Democracy means that each person has one vote and the people decide the course of action for every government law. Rather, American people vote, one man = one vote, to elect senators who, in turn, vote for the policy.

Issue in Iraq - Updated Again!
Learn how to use correct grammar and vocabulary, and then try to argue. That's the only come back you have when someone kicks your wagon, good job. I can't argue with a bunch of idiots who have no brain, no knowledge about things, never read a book, never use their * brain and try to understand. I agree that comment was kinda...well, lame...but his point is the same. When you argue, you try to convince others to your side. If you look bad doing it, it's not much help. Besides, what was your point? It seems to me to be "kinda lame" too.

Abortion Opinions (no flaming)
Come, now. Your entire point isn't about whether or not abortion should be allowed or not...it's entirely an emotional appeal since you already lost that argument. Let me ask you a question: Do you believe in utilitarianism? This is the belief that morality is determined based on the number of people it helps. If you say yes, then you can't believe your viewpoint. For one thing, we Ghost has already argued that a fetus is a living human being. If we let a MAYBE a couple hundred women die at the "kitchen tables", but we save tens of thousands of babies from being aborted, then we have utilized our resources and are saving lives. It's a good act. If you say no, you don't believe in utilitarianism, then what do you believe? You can either be a nihilist or a selfish person who says I can do whatever I want when I want in my way. The government in such a system is called anarchy. About your birth control statement: Preventing the sperm and the egg from meeting is fine but once they have met and formed a living zygote, a fetus, a baby, a tiny human being, then killing it is wrong and should be illegal. Edit: Seeing your last post, I am terribly sorry about your husband. That's a very difficult thing to go through. I can understand your reaction, be it harsh, and hope my response wasn't too strong. I'll be praying for your husband. BTW, we are talking about the intrinsic nature of life. Life has value, at all stages. The only reason we "let people go" is because of our undying belief that there truly is an after-life and we have hope of seeng them there or that it's not utilizing our resources to keep them alive. I believe in the former more than the latter. The latter, a part of eugenics, will play a key role in our future unfortunately.

GM foods!
GM foods are PERFECTLY SAFE. The main thing about GM foods is that they are not processed naturally. Like the first reply said, they're made in laboratories. However, the UN is so stupid that they deem them as "unsafe." Coincidentally, this was after the US donated millions of GM foods to Africa. Instead of giving money to the UN to give to the African nations (which is intercepted by the UN bureaucrats and African warlords), we give them GM food. Better, right? Unless the UN is involved.

Issue in Iraq - Updated Again!
It's not just them being able to vote, though. It's them fixing schools, giving clean water and food, etc. Their entire lifestyle is better...well, better is a debatable word. How about more civilized.

Abortion Opinions (no flaming)
Thanks Ghost for saying that. I was just thinking that too. I mean, seriously, a fetus, baby, parasite, whatever you want to call it is ALIVE. If they're alive, then they deserve to be protected. If you decide to have "fun" then your "fun" has consequences. Besides, each kind reproduces after its own kind. Humans reproduce humans. A fetus=a living human.

Issue in Iraq - Updated Again!
Thats what I still remain wondering. If Bush knew what was going to happen before it happened or not, because I did. The shi-ites and sunnis have had problems ever since their existence, and it was predicted that they would fight if Saddam was out of power. *sigh* Bush had no idea what was going to happen. No one does. Yes, the Shiites and Sunnis have had problems but you forgot about the Kurds. Everyone is struggling for power, and the press only makes the whole mess down there worse. BTW, I'm glad you knew everything that was going to happen. Now that we're there...what else should we do? Leave Iraq to have a civil war? No. Even Hillary Clinton, the most liberal senator out there, said we should stay.

Wow, I respect you now. CNN, Fox and BBC are probally the most anti-arab stations I have ever seen. What do you know about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? I'd like to find out about your wonderfully-balanced perspective.

Do YOU believe in God?
I'm a follower of Christ, but your end of your post about the end times is just plain wrong. Christians are raptured leaving everyone else on the earth...but whose to say that no one else gets saved? Besides, where does the Bible say that God will destroy the Earth with fire? Your post is almost right on but the way you portray it sounds judgemental...

Who didnt deviserved to die, but died?
I'm terribly sorry to hear that. That must have been very hard on you. I pray you would find the "peace that surpasses all understanding." Jesus promised it if you seek Him.

Is human society screwed? (new topic name)
The UN's idea is a good idea, but it's about as useful as the Articles of Confederation. Useless. They think they have power but they don't. They're limited by the Security Council which has views of Russia and the US which are almost always completely different. Israel has been saved by U.S. Iran is saved by Russia. The only thing they do is waste money. Oil for food and paying for some bureaucrats to eat nice food while they talk all day about something they have no power over. Let's just move them to some deserted island.

Opinions needed..?
I'm sorry, but I fail to understand what opinions you needed. Perhaps you just wanted to clear your thoughts?

Is human society screwed? (new topic name)
I would agree that we all know what we're talking about, but the main thing wrong with all of this information is that it's circular. Anarchy->Dictatorship->Democracy after unrest->Socialism->Dictatorship->Democracy Anarchy is sometimes thrown in there somewhere but it always changes. The reason America will decrease in world events is because it's following Europe in its socialism. Socialism, by its definition, leads to Communism which rewards laziness and punishes hard work. At the very least, it offers no impetus for hard work. China will eventually become mad at being so limited in their human rights and will become a democracy. Soon if you ask me. Then they'll become the world superpower. Although I'd say that religion plays a major role in everything.

Wow, Hug, those are harsh words. But remember that Christianity has nothing to do with religion. It's about relationship: with the God of the universe.

Who didnt deviserved to die, but died?
Don't tell me you actually believe the press in saying the world's overcrowded. Why, the entire world's population could fit in Jacksonville, Alabama if put shoulder to shoulder. For those who don't know how big that is...every person would have 20 square feet if they were put in the size of Texas. EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE WORLD WOULD HAVE 20 SQUARE FEET IF PUT IN THE SIZE OF TEXAS. And about the whole God thing: Jesus was supposed to die but He didn't deserve it. Yes, God had a plan for Him to die and redeem humanity. No, he didn't deserve death because he was sinless.

Is human society screwed? (new topic name)
Well, I'd agree with you on almost everything. Socialism fails because power corrupts, and the entire power is in the hands of the state. ==Bad. Communism fails because it isn't based on reality. People are inherently selfish and greedy, and it would never work to have everyone just LOVE each other. Someone would get ahead and then everyone would get mad, and then that person would need protection and the classless society would crumble. Democracy fails because the herd, or the crowd, is ignorant and will always sacrifice what's best for everyone in order for themselves to be further ahead. Dictatorships fail because it's one power in control=absolute corruption. Enough said. A republic, like the US', is the best option because of it's many checks and balances. At least it can stem off the corruption a little bit although no system is perfect. The only way to have a perfect government will happen when Jesus comes to Earth to establish his Kingdom where He alone is the dictator. Having God as supreme dictator doesn't sound so bad. In fact, I wouldn't have anyone else.

Who didnt deviserved to die, but died?
The ONLY person who didn't deserve to die but did is... Drumroll please... Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, the only perfect man to live. If you have sinned, then the consequences is death. I am an aetheist and even i know he died for our sins . . .But since this isn't the Do you believe in god? post ill just leave it at that. In my opinion, many people deserve to die. Ignorance and stupidity is a disease we must extinguish. The way i see it is the through the same way darwin did; Stupid, ignorant, repulsive people with severe defects should have their gene pool eliminated from society. That's a really mean comment. :? Since you seem to know about the Bible, you know that all have sinned and that the wages of sin is death? I realize this isn't the "Do you believe in God" post, so I'll just close with my comment on your last sentence. Hitler killed people he thought were ignorant and repulsive (Jews, homosexuals, gypsies, anyone who opposed him), so are you condoning his actions? He was a eugenicist, which sounds like you are one too. Besides, everyone is special in their own way. Who are you to say that they should die? You are limited by your knowledge and experience. Who says that ignorance comes from the gene pool anyway? That's something we acquire, just like knowledge which so happens to be its contrapositive.

Great Quotes - Post Here
Here are some of my favorite quotes. They go in my signature if I have enough time. For all you Christians, they should be very inspiring and thoughtful. Again, I'm sorry that some of them don't have the author...I was a little lazy, but I hope you enjoy them. BTW, they're ALL great. Even the long ones. ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅI believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

Arenascape Advanced Players Guide
I thought Not already answered your question. Utility is not able to be determined from some magical equation that you find in 5 fights. He's saying you need hundreds of fights to determine it. Besides, it's all about micromanaging your character. You can probably do that just fine. You know...grow 1 att, 2 def, 1 str, and 1 hit. Next lvl, grow 1 att, 1 def, 3 hits. Or whatever. I still don't understand his utility completely but I think that your posting about the few fights is not going to be answered. Not's way over my head too. :P
