  1. If I'm understanding this right, then you sent him afterwards a banner that doesn't have a watermark on it? If you did it out of spite then it makes no sense. You could have easily just sorted it out here and actually got paid. If you were dumb enough to send it him, then you don't deserve to be paid at all. You nearly deserve to get it ripped off you 'cause of your arrogance.
  2. New signature I've been working on. Took a whle to find all the right filters to work for the effect, but I hope I got it right. As it says, your name can be anywhere on the sig. Also, the colour can be changed to your desires. I'll take cash offers, or items for it. Please post your offer here. And if you don't wanna buy it, please rate it.
  3. So what'dya think? The border is from a set of brushes from 8nero.com (great site, with over a hundred free brushes). Please rate 1-10.
  4. All talk dude. What you've shown isn't nearlyon par with anything else here. I had a question for User. How will you divvy up the prize? There is obviously the p-hats that everyone wants, but only 2 people can have. So how will you decide? Will it be by which you like best, or how many people make or what?
  5. If you have your eye on anything but giving it him for free, then I suggest you get more creative, and not just put text on a pic.
  6. After what I've said to you in the past, I don't know if you'll care about this entry, but here it is (1024x420). If you are interested in it, then I will resize it to any size you wish. Just thought I'd show off my first decent Blender work.
  7. It was mainly a test of Blender's integration of Ray tracing and Yafray. And yes, I suppose spheres are overused, but they can be good.
  8. There's the big render. Use it for free as a wallpaper. Advertises OSX sort of so it's great.
  9. This is the result. Rate, comment and criticize away! The balls were rendered in Blender, and the only thing added was the text. No changes or anything. I may sell this sig, so please ask me if interested. Ball colours can change, as can the amount of balls. I also made a massive version (1537x2048) and I will be having it made into a poster for my room.
  10. Or one with a little blood on it, making it look like a competition I guess. Just thought it might look cooler.
  11. Most of the pixel tutorials I have seen, are more kind of, Drawing Theory, or Pixel Theory (making tileable pixel textures that don't look it, character sizes and detail). Pixel art is like drawing, there's no set way to do it, it's up to the artist. I don't remember where that tut was, but I also recommend typing pixel drawing tutorial or something like that.
  12. Rather simplistic, but remember it is a first attempt at getting what you want. Please tell me if there is anything you'd like changing at all, and it's done. If it is completely wrong, please tell me that too, and I'll try another one.
  13. Working on it right now. Should be a draft up later.
  14. Nope. One download, nothing else. I agree that Maya may seem easier to use, but Blender has endless potential. Anyone who can program, can add functionality, and anyone can download it. Plugins are so easy to write, because they use the Python system. The code is opensource so anyone who has a compatibility problem on their system, can have a programmer fix it. And it is totally free! If you can afford six grand for a 3D package, then by all means, go and waste it on Maya Unlimited (just 'cause you can't afford it, don't download an illegal copy). Otherwise, go get Blender! Wanna risk donwloading Maya illegally, go ahead and be arrested and sued. That's why Blender is perfect. Totally free, limitless potential, and it's equal to most of the packages out there.
  15. Vladmoney, you'll soon get used to it. I thought that first time I tried it, but it was only a matter of time. I've tried gMax before, and believe me, it is so much easier to have a built in renderer. Anyone wanna post some work?
  16. I'll go for it! Short of cash right now, so I may as well. Please tell me what kind you'd like (unless it's pixel. Can't do pixel.) Any specific requests on what you'd like for a background, and can you please be more specific about the text you'd like on it. About you wanting it easily editable, it will be easier to put your stats below your sig, and not have it in the sig, because you'd need to edit the pic everytime something changes, and I don't wanna release the source files for my pics (too many pieces copyable eg. I keep lineart on a separate layer).
  17. User wrote: I don't see why any hand font editing should be required. There are plenty of killer looking fonts out there, freely available for you to use. Just try http://www.dafont.com/en. Hundreds of great ones available. Seems to me that you are the only one here who seems to have to hand edit his fonts. I don't think that Nadril or any of the other greats do (please correct if wrong), and look at their sigs. Best on the board, and I don't see them claiming that they are professionals. Give it a shot! What's there to lose if you don't value others respect for your work? There isn't much you can post that can lower anyone's respect for it so far. You've still got 5+ more working days, so get to it.
  18. Just found it today but Blender 2.34 is out, and it is a big improvement over the last one. For those who have used it, they've put back in the game engine, added dynamic particles (you can make them interact with the enviroment, like bounce off cubes and planes. You can also make tornados and such much easier with the implemented vortex modifier), integrated Yafray renderer into it (produces near photorealistic renders) and added some cool texturing features. For you who don't use or have never used Blender, it is the only freeware, opensource 3d package worth getting. Why pay $3000-6000 for a commercial package when Blender is better and free? It is relatively easy to use, massively powerful and the best freeware available ever. Go to http://www.blender3d.com and download it now. There are tutorials available on that site, a knowledge databse, and much more. Now onto the real topic, I was wondering just how many people actually use Blender and are proficient at it. I was also wondering if anyone would post any of their work in it (raw or post processed). I'll be posting some work soon, once I get used to the new features so watch out!
  19. Pretty cool! 9/10 Dunno why not 10/10, but something about it just irks me. Don't ask what, but great sig. BTW: Did you get my PM?
  20. Wanna show us that tut? I love it. I think it is great. 10/10
  21. I love that sig 9/10. PS: CS can be bought for windows for $100 legally. And for Macs if you get a replacement disk for a Mac.
  22. Well I was sure that you were up for the challenge. But I guess I was mistaken. The productivity from this bit of artistic exercise would to once and for all prove that you are the professional that you say you are, hence having people recognize that you are as talented as you claim you are. After that, you could actually sell sigs. Best you can do doesn't mean make an experiment with a new program. I meant that you should use readily available tools (eg. Photoshop, C4D... ones that you have). BTW: I'd want one that will fit within the limits of this forum, unlike your current one. If you can't do this relatively simple task, then you have no right to call yourself a professional.
  23. Alright then, as a final test, and proof of your ability, give me a super detailed signature. Best you can do. I'd like it to be using the colours blue, black and white. Make it in a technical style. With lineart, and other cool things. I don't care if it is a photomanip, filters, anything, so long as it is the best you can do. I also request that you post the finished results in a separate thread for everyone to rate, and I would like to ask if you can post step by step screenshots while you are making it. Shouldn't be such a hard request for someone as talented as you say you are. Also, don't take to long. If you are professional, then you should know all about deadlines. How's done by Friday Midnight (EST). That gives you six days. I look forward to seeing the result.
  24. Well, I'm nearly finished with a design right now, and I'll show it in another thread. If you like it, I'll customize it for you, and then when I have it finished for you, you can offer on it. I am P2P and will take items as well as cash. If you don't like, I will use it as my own, so no one loses. Ontopic, if you are using Photoshop, the resize option can work wonders on small images going into larger ones. If you did it in Photoshop, then that should have happened if you use the scale option though. I don't think that there is anything more you can do with it now, because you can't make the quality that you have in the avatar in a big one, without remaking it at that resolution.
